I spent 6 years volunteering at Animal Care and Control of San Francisco, where I started out helping with adoptions and reuniting lost cats with their families. I went on to volunteer as a PURR (Play, Uplift, Reinforce, Relax) volunteer, specializing in helping new and stray cats settle in, building their confidence and sociability so they're ready for adoption. I worked closely with cats who were shy, scared, or unsure of new people, and learned how to read their body language and let them come to me on their own terms. At home, I'm a longtime cat owner myself (2 cats!) and have informally cat-sat for friends, handling feeding, fresh water, litter, and playtime. Whether your cat is the confident, cuddly type or more reserved and needs a slower introduction, I'll take the time to make them feel safe and loved in their own space.

Safety, trust & environment
I check everything's safe on arrival, follow your feeding, litter, and care instructions, and leave your home locked and exactly as I found it. With shy or nervous cats, I never force interaction, I let them set the pace so they feel safe while you're away.

Brunella took such wonderful care of my two cats (one of them a kitten) and I would 100% rebook with her. She was incredibly attentive, thorough, and detailed with the tasks I asked her for help with, as well as sending a detailed note and lots of adorable pictures with each visit! You can tell she really loves animals and truly cares for their wellbeing, from how they’re eating and drinking to making sure they’re getting enough playtime. Couldn’t recommend Brunella enough!

Schedule
I cover Ingleside, Castro, Mission and every other area near a Bart station/J or K. I can be consistent with timing for feeding, litter, and play, and I'm happy to adjust visit times around your cat's routine or any specific instructions you have.
- CatsBrunella can host up to 5 drop-ins per day
- If your cat has specials needs or things I should monitor, let me know. I will always tell you if they vomit or do something out of the ordinary.
