“Cynthia and her family were the best. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. She sent us multiple pictures and videos throughout the day which made me feel at ease. I was so happy to see that Amaru had fun and enjoyed his stay. Will definitely book with Cynthia again and am so happy to find a new dog sitter for Amaru close to home. Thank you so much for everything!!”

“Irene was good with Mamba. It was Mambas first time and he was very anxious. Irene was very mindful and made sure to want she can to make sure Mamba was less anxious. She took him on a walk and gave him lots of attention.”

“Gordon & Allison watched our senior dog Doodle Bug for a few days. They were very understanding of his special needs as a 14 year old dog with joint problems, and we received regular updates on how Doodle Bug was doing with cute photos attached. We would happily trust Gordon and Allison with our beloved Doodle Bug again in the future.”

“Couldn’t speak more highly of Tiffany. She was always on time and willing to work with me on my ever changing schedule. I could tell she really loved caring for my doggie. As my dog would often cry on the way home and jump for joy on the way there. If you need a dog setter that will care for your fur baby as much as you do yourself Tiffany is your best option. Would highly recommend!!!”

About: Hello! My name is Luisa and I've been a loyal dog sitter for the past 4 years to a sweet Shih Tzu. I also own a Shih Tzu myself. I have a variety of experience working in others homes (housekeeping, child care and private chef). If you have a full time job and hate leaving your fur baby alone, you'll be out of town/overnight, or just need someone to check in for walks and food, I would love to help! I’m extremely open and flexible with my time, as long as there is enough notice. I babysit outside the home once a week and have an active healthy lifestyle (the more walking the better!) I have a large & safe fenced backyard. My home interior is well kept and always clean (hardwood floors throughout). I provide lots of care and attention (talking and petting!)
“Marie was so great with Winston! I could tell he immediately felt comfortable and safe with her! She also sent many updates so I knew how he was doing. I definitely will bring him back, thank you again Marie!”

“Sheena is amazing with Burt! I was impressed by her detailed questions to ensure she can provide the best care for our dog. She provided multiple updates and took cute pictures/videos of our fur baby too. Burt and I hope to be one of her regulars for a long time!”

About: *Please read under “A Typical Day” for more information on pack walks! I would love to have your pup join! 🐕🐩 ** Due to landlord’s request, I can only board dogs 40lbs and smaller. Our pup gets very anxious/scared of certain breeds, to ensure the safety of all dogs, I will no longer be able to board French Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, American Bullies, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Cane Corsos, Viszlas, Large Doodles and German Shepards** Apologies for any inconvenience this may bring. I have raised animals all my life- ranging from cats, dogs, fish, hamsters and even lizards! I own a 2 year old small mixed pup who makes a great playmate! I have volunteered for my local SPCA for several years and helped foster and trap feral kitties for a healthy future. I currently walk dogs and work part time at a dog hotel so I have a lot of experience with dogs of all sizes, ages and needs. DROP OFF/PICK UP: Due to landlord's request, dogs must be dropped off no earlier than 7am and picked up no later than 10pm. I am very flexible if plans change and would be more than happy to accommodate to new changes in pickup/drop off times as long as they are in this time frame. If anything changes, please let me know at least a day before. I currently freelance and walk dogs part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! My dog, Rose, makes a great playmate/buddy if your dog has a lot of energy or can get anxious! I take the dogs out every 2-3 hours to ensure they have plenty of potty breaks, playtime and time to sniff! I have a large fenced in yard (photos provided) to ensure your dog has a lot of space to run around and explore. If your dog needs a morning and/or evening walk please let me know! COMPLEMENTARY BATH: Having taken my past dogs to boardings and working at a dog hotel, I understand how smelly/dirty some pups can get when they are having fun. Due to this, I happily offer complimentary baths for those stays that are 7 days or longer! If you dog has anxiety around baths, let me know, I would be happy to try for a wipe down and brushing as a substitution. SENIOR/DISABLED PUPS: I have a soft spot for my senior pups! Unfortunately due to past incidents, I can no longer take on dogs that are older than 12 years of age. I apologize for any inconvenience! If your dog is a senior or has mobility issues, please let me know prior to booking. The living part of my home is on the second floor so there are stairs. I am more than happy to carry and assist your pet if needed, just let me know! If your dog wears diapers or has trouble with their bladder, I am more than happy to have them wear diapers or put pee pads on the floor- please bring them. I do have some disposable ones just in case! I also have a pet stroller if your little guy likes to get fresh air and wants to go on walks with Rose! Currently, I work part time Friday-Sunday in the morning, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup! We will start our day by going in the backyard to get some exercise/ bathroom breaks. As soon as your pup gets back inside, I will prep their breakfast and separate them during feeding time. If you dog takes a morning walk, we will do so after around the quiet neighborhood. I take the dogs out every two/three hours or more if needed to ensure they get plenty of time outdoors! We love the beach! Your furry friend may be seen there on multiple occasions throughout their stay :) I have a large, double fenced backyard and monitor the dogs at all times when they are outside. Because some dogs can be food aggressive, I ALWAYS separate dogs during meal time.
“This review is long overdue. Christoper has been watching my puppy three times a week since beginning of January. I feel as if it’s been for months but it’s only been a couple weeks. He is a great communicator and super responsive. He has such patience with my energetic puppy. He takes him and his dog on walks and has a great outdoor space for them to run around. He takes great notes and feedback on each visit and takes lots of fun pictures. I highly recommend Christopher. Anyone who can handle my 73 pound puppy is a superstar. Thank you Christopher!”

“Mimi was fantastic with our little pup! She was super responsive and able to accomodate last minute booking, sent me great updates throughout the day, and I would definitely book with her again!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up taking care of dogs my entire life and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also previously owned two cats, giving me experience with different personalities and care needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more relaxed and shy, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I understand that pets are family, and I treat them with the same attention, patience, and respect I would want for my own. I teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from 6:30–7:30 AM and 6:00–8:30 PM and work remotely in construction management between classes. My work-from-home schedule allows flexibility and plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable pet care. I live in a spacious home with plenty of room for pets to feel comfortable and relaxed. We also have a secure, fenced-in backyard that provides a safe space for supervised outdoor time, play, and fresh air. Creating a calm, safe, and trusting environment is very important to me. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to help them feel secure and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet enjoys playtime and activity or prefers a quieter environment and companionship, I aim to provide attentive, patient, and dependable care. I treat pets like family and prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
“Super sweet and accommodating. My vet canceled an appointment last min and they had availability at another location that day. She was able to drop him off and pick him up especially since I was going away for the weekend and really needed him to be see. By the vet. Pluto though enjoyed his stay and was very happy at pick up. She also communicated throughout the day which I loved! Will definitely be booking again!”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Renee and Christopher for Chewy’s daycare. They’re easy to work with, send frequent updates, and are clearly very thoughtful dog lovers — our senior dog Chewy seems so happy and comfortable in their home. Chewy often takes a while to warm up to new people, but they were quick to get a read on his personality and have made him feel at ease. When we go to drop him off he usually runs right in without looking back!”

“Drew is the best dog walker we have ever had - she genuinely treats Mika like her own dog with the love and care she provides. From day one, she took the time to understand Mika’s unique personality and needs, making sure she felt comfortable and safe. Drew’s communication is outstanding with regular updates and photos, and she’s incredibly reliable, showing up on time every single day. Mika absolutely lights up when she sees Drew coming to the door, which tells us everything we need to know about their bond.”

“Thanks to Rachel and Ryan for the last minute help wit my Starla. There updates were very assuring and there love for dogs shows. I would definitely recommend these two kind folks to anyone!”

“Jei does an amazing job caring for dogs. Our pup, Riley, was happy and tired after a full day at daycare with Jei and a few other dogs. Jei is very friendly and responsive - it was so easy to schedule our meet and greet and to learn more about how Jei takes care of dogs. It is clear that Jei really cares about the dogs that she watches. She knows how to watch for certain behaviors and knows what to do to make sure all of the dogs are comfortable and having a good time. We learned so much from Jei's detailed report card of Riley's first day. Jei included notes on Riley's day from the time we dropped her off to the end of the day. It was so helpful learning about how Riley interacts with new dogs and behaves in a new environment with us not around. It put us at ease to know how Riley's day was and that she had someone keeping a close eye on her. We really appreciate Jei highlighting Riley's "weak points". We are very dedicated to making sure Riley is a well-socialized, well-behaved dog, and it helps so much to know where we can focus our efforts. We're so happy that we found Jei to watch our pup! We will definitely be sending Riley back to Jei because Jei provides such personalized care and a great socialization environment, which is especially important for our young pup!”

Drew was amazing at helping my Senior Belle get adjusted to a new environment and welcomed her into her home with care and lots of attentiveness. You can tell Drew knows her stuff and loves doing this. She was great at sending updates, videos, and photos throughout the day. She treats my Belle better than I could! Even her hubbie, Greg, helps out to support her. I’d highly recommend her!

I just adopted a new dog 3 days ago from the shelter who I learned has very bad separation anxiety. My only option was a dog sitter or doggy day care. Kim was extremely accommodating accepting my request only the night prior. I was nervous about leaving my baby with someone we didn't know but Kim soothed those worries in a heartbeat. She sent updates and pictures throughout their time. She was so sweet and I know Milo was in loving hands. I will definitely book with Kim again!

My two fur babies needed a last-minute daycare, and I’m incredibly grateful that Cynthia and her husband were able to accommodate us. They kept us updated with plenty of photos, which we truly appreciate. We’ll definitely book with them again whenever we visit the area. Thank you so much!
Kami and her boyfriend were such a pleasure to meet! We had to find a sitter last minute and they were so awesome and accommodating. We were able to do a meet and greet the day prior to having them dog sit and it couldn't have gone better. Their communication, flexibility, and care for our dog was beyond what we could expect! If we bring our dog back to the city, no doubt we will reach out to them!!

Irene loves dogs so much and is so attentive to dogs’ needs! She is so patient with dogs like mine that can be a little needy or a bit troublesome at times. She’s a great choice for watching all kinds of dogs but especially ones that need just a little bit more attention.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Renee and Christopher for Chewy’s daycare. They’re easy to work with, send frequent updates, and are clearly very thoughtful dog lovers — our senior dog Chewy seems so happy and comfortable in their home. Chewy often takes a while to warm up to new people, but they were quick to get a read on his personality and have made him feel at ease. When we go to drop him off he usually runs right in without looking back!

After the meet and greet, I felt comfortable with Christopher caring for Beau for the day. He answered any questions I had and I would recommend him. Beau seemed in good spirits when I picked him up and I feel confident asking Christopher to care for Beau in the future.

Henrianna was very accommodating and was very responsive for a last minute booking we made! Henrianna made sure we had enough time to ask questions prior to our doggy daycare reservation booking. Updates and photos/videos of our beagle pup Lemmie were received frequently throughout the day. Lemmie had a great time! He misses his new doggy/kitty friends!

My pup stayed with Jayern for the first time and had the best time! Jayern is responsive, transparent, friendly, and knows A LOT about dogs and how to read them. A huge bonus is a set of high-quality adorable photos of the dogs at the end of the visit. We look forward to bringing our pup to Jayern again.

Julley was great with Burt! She is very considerate and responsive from the start. I appreciate her spending time to do a meet and greet at a neutral ground to make sure the dogs get along before committing to host. She sends lot of pictures and update throughout the stay. Will definitely be rebooking for her service!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Broadmoor commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 4,339 sitters in Broadmoor, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
