“Amaru had a great time. Cynthia sent pictures, videos, and kept us updated throughout the day. She brought Amaru to his favorite place, Fort Funston! Amaru met new friends and had a great time! Thank you, again, Cynthia & family!”

“Gordon and his family took really good care of my Oliver. It was his first time visiting the family and he was there for four hours and seemed very comfortable when I picked him up. I’m looking forward to the next visit.”

“Irene loves dogs so much and is so attentive to dogs’ needs! She is so patient with dogs like mine that can be a little needy or a bit troublesome at times. She’s a great choice for watching all kinds of dogs but especially ones that need just a little bit more attention.”

“Couldn’t speak more highly of Tiffany. She was always on time and willing to work with me on my ever changing schedule. I could tell she really loved caring for my doggie. As my dog would often cry on the way home and jump for joy on the way there. If you need a dog setter that will care for your fur baby as much as you do yourself Tiffany is your best option. Would highly recommend!!!”

“Marie Elenore was amazing with my pup, but also with me as I was running late for the scheduled time. 🐶🐾 Very accommodating. 👍😊 Crinkle definitely had a blast with her. 🎉🥳 Thank you! 🙏💖”

“Our dog seemed to have a great day with Christopher and his dog Scooby! Christopher is very responsible and arranged a meet and greet the day before to make sure the dogs would get along.”

About: *Please read under “A Typical Day” for more information on pack walks! I would love to have your pup join! 🐕🐩 ** Due to landlord’s request, I can only board dogs 40lbs and smaller. Our pup gets very anxious/scared of certain breeds, to ensure the safety of all dogs, I will no longer be able to board French Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, American Bullies, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Cane Corsos, Viszlas, Large Doodles and German Shepards** Apologies for any inconvenience this may bring. I have raised animals all my life- ranging from cats, dogs, fish, hamsters and even lizards! I own a 2 year old small mixed pup who makes a great playmate! I have volunteered for my local SPCA for several years and helped foster and trap feral kitties for a healthy future. I currently walk dogs and work part time at a dog hotel so I have a lot of experience with dogs of all sizes, ages and needs. DROP OFF/PICK UP: Due to landlord's request, dogs must be dropped off no earlier than 7am and picked up no later than 10pm. I am very flexible if plans change and would be more than happy to accommodate to new changes in pickup/drop off times as long as they are in this time frame. If anything changes, please let me know at least a day before. I currently freelance and walk dogs part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! My dog, Rose, makes a great playmate/buddy if your dog has a lot of energy or can get anxious! I take the dogs out every 2-3 hours to ensure they have plenty of potty breaks, playtime and time to sniff! I have a large fenced in yard (photos provided) to ensure your dog has a lot of space to run around and explore. If your dog needs a morning and/or evening walk please let me know! COMPLEMENTARY BATH: Having taken my past dogs to boardings and working at a dog hotel, I understand how smelly/dirty some pups can get when they are having fun. Due to this, I happily offer complimentary baths for those stays that are 7 days or longer! If you dog has anxiety around baths, let me know, I would be happy to try for a wipe down and brushing as a substitution. SENIOR/DISABLED PUPS: I have a soft spot for my senior pups! Unfortunately due to past incidents, I can no longer take on dogs that are older than 12 years of age. I apologize for any inconvenience! If your dog is a senior or has mobility issues, please let me know prior to booking. The living part of my home is on the second floor so there are stairs. I am more than happy to carry and assist your pet if needed, just let me know! If your dog wears diapers or has trouble with their bladder, I am more than happy to have them wear diapers or put pee pads on the floor- please bring them. I do have some disposable ones just in case! I also have a pet stroller if your little guy likes to get fresh air and wants to go on walks with Rose! Currently, I work part time Friday-Sunday in the morning, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup! We will start our day by going in the backyard to get some exercise/ bathroom breaks. As soon as your pup gets back inside, I will prep their breakfast and separate them during feeding time. If you dog takes a morning walk, we will do so after around the quiet neighborhood. I take the dogs out every two/three hours or more if needed to ensure they get plenty of time outdoors! We love the beach! Your furry friend may be seen there on multiple occasions throughout their stay :) I have a large, double fenced backyard and monitor the dogs at all times when they are outside. Because some dogs can be food aggressive, I ALWAYS separate dogs during meal time.
“Mimi was fantastic with our little pup! She was super responsive and able to accomodate last minute booking, sent me great updates throughout the day, and I would definitely book with her again!”

“I met Sheena for a meet n greet and must say that, unlike other Rover employees I have encountered, I was impressed with the time and interest she took in getting to know my dog. After meeting her, I felt extremely comfortable having her watch him and booked daycare. I just picked up my dog from "daycare" with her and he looked pretty happy. Sheena was communicative regarding questions that arose during his stay with her. She took 2 very cute pictures of him to add to my collection. I will ABSOLUTELY be booking Sheena again for daycare and boarding.”

About: Hello! My name is Luisa and I've been a loyal dog sitter for the past 4 years to a sweet Shih Tzu. I also own a Shih Tzu myself. I have a variety of experience working in others homes (housekeeping, child care and private chef). If you have a full time job and hate leaving your fur baby alone, you'll be out of town/overnight, or just need someone to check in for walks and food, I would love to help! I’m extremely open and flexible with my time, as long as there is enough notice. I babysit outside the home once a week and have an active healthy lifestyle (the more walking the better!) I have a large & safe fenced backyard. My home interior is well kept and always clean (hardwood floors throughout). I provide lots of care and attention (talking and petting!)

“Malcom was very professional and took care of Frodo, our Pembroke Welsh Corgi for two consecutive days as a day care service. He sent updates regularly and Frodo was super happy when we picked him up. I definitely recommend Malcom to anyone is looking a great service”

“Super sweet and accommodating. My vet canceled an appointment last min and they had availability at another location that day. She was able to drop him off and pick him up especially since I was going away for the weekend and really needed him to be see. By the vet. Pluto though enjoyed his stay and was very happy at pick up. She also communicated throughout the day which I loved! Will definitely be booking again!”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Renee and Christopher for Chewy’s daycare. They’re easy to work with, send frequent updates, and are clearly very thoughtful dog lovers — our senior dog Chewy seems so happy and comfortable in their home. Chewy often takes a while to warm up to new people, but they were quick to get a read on his personality and have made him feel at ease. When we go to drop him off he usually runs right in without looking back!”

“This was Rupert’s second time with Adrian (although it was for daycare, instead of boarding). Rupert was exhausted by the time I picked him up. He usually loves to look outside of the window during car rides; but on the ride home, he napped the entire way. Adrian was extremely communicative throughout the day. I’ll definitely book with him again!”

“Thanks to Rachel and Ryan for the last minute help wit my Starla. There updates were very assuring and there love for dogs shows. I would definitely recommend these two kind folks to anyone!”

“Stephanie was reliable and communicative, providing regular updates and photos. Our Poppy had a wonderful time and was so well cared for. We’d definitely book with her again! Highly recommended!”

She sent many cute photos and videos of our pup and we felt very assured the whole time that he was in great care. She also has set up a great play area in the yard that shows us how intentionally she interacts with pups. We're definitely booking with her for future needs!

I just adopted a new dog 3 days ago from the shelter who I learned has very bad separation anxiety. My only option was a dog sitter or doggy day care. Kim was extremely accommodating accepting my request only the night prior. I was nervous about leaving my baby with someone we didn't know but Kim soothed those worries in a heartbeat. She sent updates and pictures throughout their time. She was so sweet and I know Milo was in loving hands. I will definitely book with Kim again!

Kami and her boyfriend were such a pleasure to meet! We had to find a sitter last minute and they were so awesome and accommodating. We were able to do a meet and greet the day prior to having them dog sit and it couldn't have gone better. Their communication, flexibility, and care for our dog was beyond what we could expect! If we bring our dog back to the city, no doubt we will reach out to them!!

After the meet and greet, I felt comfortable with Christopher caring for Beau for the day. He answered any questions I had and I would recommend him. Beau seemed in good spirits when I picked him up and I feel confident asking Christopher to care for Beau in the future.

Henrianna was very accommodating and was very responsive for a last minute booking we made! Henrianna made sure we had enough time to ask questions prior to our doggy daycare reservation booking. Updates and photos/videos of our beagle pup Lemmie were received frequently throughout the day. Lemmie had a great time! He misses his new doggy/kitty friends!

Julley was great with Burt! She is very considerate and responsive from the start. I appreciate her spending time to do a meet and greet at a neutral ground to make sure the dogs get along before committing to host. She sends lot of pictures and update throughout the stay. Will definitely be rebooking for her service!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Broadmoor commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
