“Shao Er always takes such good care of our pup, so much so that she is excited to be dropped off and sad to be picked up! We're repeat customers and are glad to continue to be repeats.”

About: Hi, I’m Thiago! As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and caring for them since childhood. My family has always had dogs, giving me years of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, I’m proud to turn that lifelong passion into a career, providing reliable, loving, and attentive care for every pet as if they were my own. 🐾🐾 We’re a family home where everyone is passionate about dogs! I’m home full time so your dog will always be supervised and never left alone. We treat every dog like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved throughout their stay 🥰 All care takes place in my home, where I’m with the dogs full-time. Since I care for the pups myself throughout the day, I do not offer dog walks or outside outings. They enjoy a safe, supervised environment with a large fenced backyard to play, relax and socialize! I have a big fenced yard, turfed and lotta space for your puppy, I have a friendly dog so is a good company to have fun!! Our home is located only 4–5 minutes from the SFO airport which makes drop-off and pick-up super convenient for travelers. We also know that life can be unpredictable, whether it’s a delayed flight, traffic, or last-minute changes, we’re flexible and always do our best to adjust accordingly. My sister has been a professional dog sitter for years, but she’ll be taking a few months off for an upcoming foot surgery and recovery. I recently moved in to help her, and caring for dogs is now my full-time job. If you’re here from her profile, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pup and continue providing the same loving, safe and home away from home experience! ❤️
“Teddy had a great time at the coffee shop interacting with other people and dogs. Sarah sent many updates and pics through his stay with her. I would recommend Sarah to anyone who needs someone to take great care of their pet!”

About: I work from home as a customer service agent, and I have all the time to care and watch the furbabies. I will make sure your fur baby will be safe, healthy and having fun while you are away. It will be my pleasure to take care of your fur baby. I’m home most of the time. I can guarantee he/she is taking care off while you are away. I can keep an eye of him/her. I am a pet lover ever since when I was a kid. I had 2 dogs back home and 1 dog here with me. He/she will enjoy playing with my fur baby.
“Marie was so great with Winston! I could tell he immediately felt comfortable and safe with her! She also sent many updates so I knew how he was doing. I definitely will bring him back, thank you again Marie!”

“Stanly was amazing! He was extremely understanding and accommodating to us. He took good care for Ryo and took pictures as we would like. Overall, we highly recommend him!”

About: I have been around dogs the past 20 years of my life. 5 years ago we introduced a new furboy into our home to make our family complete. Now I’ll like to open my doors again to help care for your beloved furbaby! We would like them to feel like it’s a home away from home. I am a stay at home mom looking to help love on your furbaby while you’re away. Opening my home filled with love and nurture while in our care. Our home has a fenced backyard where your furbaby can play & exercise, & use the bathroom. Neighborhood is really quiet and friendly where my children and I go out to take them for walks.

“We brought our 6 month old golden retriever Lily to Jade's for doggy daycare. Lily had so much fun! Jade fed her lunch, played with her, let her play in the water (it was a hot day), and oversaw her interactions with the other dogs. Jade was kind, punctual, and communicative. I highly recommend her.”

“Letitia met me outside when I arrived with my Golden Retriever, Winston. I was leaving him for several hours to familiarize him to Letitia & her house. Letitia was very nice & took good care of Winston. I feel confidant Winston will enjoy staying with her next week.”
“Christopher was caring and attentive, he communicated with questions as he was hosting my dog, and filled in the rover card with photos which I appreciate. We'll use his services again!”

“Jeffery was fantastic. Our puppy is very skittish and doesn’t take to new people easily. By the end of doggy daycare, she was letting him pet her and feed her treats. This speaks volumes! It is clear from all interactions with Jeffery that he’s a very caring individual that puts your pet first and foremost. Would definitely recommend. Also his dog Barney was the cherry on top! Both dogs loved to play together.”

Come to think of it I have never lived a day in my life without a dog. My family is a true dog family. My 9 year old daughter is a true animal lover and loves interacting with dogs. We would definitely book with Stephanie again! From the moment Marcel was dropped off, Stephanie kept us updated with consistent messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We especially appreciated seeing how well he interacted with the other dogs and knowing he was happy, comfortable, and enjoying himself. She was also incredibly accommodating with scheduling, making the entire experience stress-free. The best part was picking up a happy, well-cared-for puppy. It was obvious Marcel received plenty of attention and care while he was there. We left feeling completely confident that he was in great hands and wouldn’t hesitate to trust Stephanie with him again. Highly recommend!

Nicole was so sweet and caring to our dog Chico. You can tell she’s a true animal lover. She sent pictures & updates of him playing in her backyard and at the park by her house. She has two sweet dogs that our dog loved playing with. I’m so happy we found Nicole, we’d love for her to watch Chico again.

Stellar service! My doggy lived them as much as they loved on her. Very cozy, clean home. I usually plan ahead, but needed to complete a work assignment short notice and needed a sitter who was available thay I could trust. She will be back again for sure! Great w/ communication and updates. Professional and reliable. I highly recommend 🙌🏽

I left my dog for 2 days with Simon when I was in San Francisco visiting for the first time. Aspen had the best time and really liked being with Simon. This was fantastic as Aspen usually has a lot of separation anxiety at doggie day care facilities. Simon was very friendly and very professional and made sure Aspen was feeling good during the 2 days he was with him. I would highly recommend Simon to anyone who wants to see the city but can’t take their dog into many sightseeing places. I will definitely use Simon again if I am back in San Francisco!!!!

My wife and I decided on a spontaneous weekend trip to San Francisco and needed a last-minute sitter. Thankfully, we found Michelle! She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos throughout the day, which gave us so much peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found someone caring and attentive who took great care of Milo. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely book with her again on our next visit to San Francisco!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South San Francisco commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
