About: Hello! My name is Luisa and I've been a loyal dog sitter for the past 4 years to a sweet Shih Tzu. I also own a Shih Tzu myself. I have a variety of experience working in others homes (housekeeping, child care and private chef). If you have a full time job and hate leaving your fur baby alone, you'll be out of town/overnight, or just need someone to check in for walks and food, I would love to help! I’m extremely open and flexible with my time, as long as there is enough notice. I babysit outside the home once a week and have an active healthy lifestyle (the more walking the better!) About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, so taking care of them feels natural to me. Growing up, we had a poodle-terrier mix who was full of energy, and more recently, I’ve been helping out with my brother’s husky whenever he’s out of town. I totally get the quirks and needs of both small and large breeds. Plus, I’ve looked after my friend’s two golden retrievers, which was such a fun experience. I genuinely love dogs and have a lot of patience and understanding for them. I think all of that makes me a pretty solid choice if you’re looking for someone to care for your pup. I work full-time remotely, and so does my husband, so we’re home throughout the day. My schedule is super flexible, which means I can easily take breaks to step outside for quick 10-minute walks around the house for potty breaks. Being home all day allows me to give plenty of attention and care to your dog while fitting their needs into my routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m pretty easygoing about them being on the furniture—I cover my couches just in case. Miu & Eugene were fantastic! They were able to fulfill our last minute request and I can tell Gunter was very comfortable and had a great time in their care. Adrian was so patient with my shy and sporadic pup. We did a 10 min meet and greet with each of his resident dogs up and down his block before letting them play in his backyard in order to help them acclimate. He was able to get them to calm down and chill together inside on individual dog beds. He also sent photos frequently which was really reassuring for my pup struggling with separation anxiety. A successful day care experience two days in a row!
Cynthia was amazing. Willow came over for a meet and greet for an upcoming boarding and she got to meet one of her sweet Golden’s. I immediately felt comfortable with Cynthia after the meetup and she even accommodated a last minute daycare that same time and took Willow for the rest of the day. She sent so many videos and pictures throughout the day and took her on a coastal walk with her other dogs. Willow came back happy and tired. Cynthia went above and beyond and we are so excited to have Willow stay with her and her family in the future!
We've had an amazing experience with Gordon and Allison. We have an anxious rescue pom with incontinence that's controlled via medication. She has to go potty more often than most pups due to her incontinence. We're always nervous about leaving her with other folks. When we did our initial meet and greet, Gordon shared their process with us and asked a lot of thoughtful questions to get to know us and Rose better. During her first few days and weeks with them, they paid close attention to her and shared details with us on how she was doing, which we truly appreciated. They're very easy going, communicative, and flexible. Rose has now been going to doggie daycare about twice a week (sometimes 3x) for a month and a half. She gets very excited to see Gordon, Allison, and family. She's never been this excited for doggie daycare or boarding. We're so happy that we've found someone who we can trust and who Rose truly enjoys being around. They truly care about Rose and it shows. I just adopted a new dog 3 days ago from the shelter who I learned has very bad separation anxiety. My only option was a dog sitter or doggy day care. Kim was extremely accommodating accepting my request only the night prior. I was nervous about leaving my baby with someone we didn't know but Kim soothed those worries in a heartbeat.
