Jeffery was fantastic. Our puppy is very skittish and doesn’t take to new people easily. By the end of doggy daycare, she was letting him pet her and feed her treats. This speaks volumes! It is clear from all interactions with Jeffery that he’s a very caring individual that puts your pet first and foremost. Would definitely recommend. Also his dog Barney was the cherry on top! Both dogs loved to play together.

I booked Shanice on very short notice so there was no chance for a meet and greet with my puppy Nico. I took a chance on her based her previous reviews. Nico was at her doggy daycare for 2 days. She is super sweet and friendly. Most of all she adored my puppy. He had a good time with her and her fur baby. She sent me updates on Nico with pictures of his day. Nico was happy when he was dropped off and happy when I picked him up. That is always a good sign. I will definitely book Shanice again!

Anthony was one of the best dogsitters I’ve connected with through Rover. He has been super clear with communication, very flexible/accommodating of Fluffy’s needs and my schedule, and most importantly, took super good care of Fluffy. She’s a high maintenance dog that barks a lot, but I could tell immediately that Anthony is very confident in taking care of all kinds of dogs in all situations.

Love Jei! This was my first time leaving Komi in someone elses’ care so I was really worried. She was very thorough writing his report card and took a bunch of photos. She even took Komi to the Golden Gate park which was such a treat. Komi is a happy and tired puppy hehe. I will be sleeping good tonight.

Couldn’t speak more highly of Tiffany. She was always on time and willing to work with me on my ever changing schedule. I could tell she really loved caring for my doggie. As my dog would often cry on the way home and jump for joy on the way there. If you need a dog setter that will care for your fur baby as much as you do yourself Tiffany is your best option. Would highly recommend!!!

About: Hi, I’m Thiago! As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and caring for them since childhood. My family has always had dogs, giving me years of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, I’m proud to turn that lifelong passion into a career, providing reliable, loving, and attentive care for every pet as if they were my own. 🐾🐾 We’re a family home where everyone is passionate about dogs! I’m home full time so your dog will always be supervised and never left alone. We treat every dog like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved throughout their stay 🥰 All care takes place in my home, where I’m with the dogs full-time. Since I care for the pups myself throughout the day, I do not offer dog walks or outside outings. They enjoy a safe, supervised environment with a large fenced backyard to play, relax and socialize! I have a big fenced yard, turfed and lotta space for your puppy, I have a friendly dog so is a good company to have fun!! Our home is located only 4–5 minutes from the SFO airport which makes drop-off and pick-up super convenient for travelers. We also know that life can be unpredictable, whether it’s a delayed flight, traffic, or last-minute changes, we’re flexible and always do our best to adjust accordingly. My sister has been a professional dog sitter for years, but she’ll be taking a few months off for an upcoming foot surgery and recovery. I recently moved in to help her, and caring for dogs is now my full-time job. If you’re here from her profile, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pup and continue providing the same loving, safe and home away from home experience! ❤️

About: I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could! I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks. I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.

About: Having raised my own puppy and dogsat for friends with anxious pups, I'm well versed in how to provide for a pup's full time needs. I can also provide puppy training in house manners (for example: waiting patiently to be fed, waiting at doors, simple commands). My care and attention to my own puppy, Chef, is full time and I am super excited to share that with your pup. We can go on excursions or hang around the house or play fetch at the dogpark. Whatever your pup is up for. I have a fenced yard and a friendly pup for your pup(s) to play with! And if your pup doesn't want company for whatever reason, I have gates and crates to make sure they are safe and happy in their own space. Feel free to request photos/videos and check in anytime for updates.

We used Leticia for daycare for our dog. Leticia asked for our dog's vaccination records and when we arrived, illustrated she had knowledge of dog behavior and social dynamics. She had a well-structured yard setup that allowed for safe, controlled introductions between dogs as well as safe entry and exit of the yard with a double gate system. She was a great listener, observer, had excellent communication, and is punctual.

Gordon & Allison watched our senior dog Doodle Bug for a few days. They were very understanding of his special needs as a 14 year old dog with joint problems, and we received regular updates on how Doodle Bug was doing with cute photos attached. We would happily trust Gordon and Allison with our beloved Doodle Bug again in the future.

It was my first time using Howard & Linda for day care, and it was an excellent experience. Howard and their dog Truman met us for the meet and greet before the scheduled stay, and the dogs got along, as Truman is very easy going. My dog is not friendly with large dogs and requires a special diet, as well as, a regular feeding and walking schedule. Howard accommodated all of my dog’s needs during his stays. Howard & Linda are very friendly and personable people, and I highly recommend them!

Winnie and Boba are THE BEST!!! 🏆 Winnie accommodated a last-minute request over Thanksgiving weekend so my husband and I could take a day trip. She even offered a meet-and-greet video call beforehand, which really put my mind at ease since it was our second time using Rover for dog sitting. 🙏 Throughout our communications, Winnie was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. My doggo had a blast playing with Boba, and she sent us plenty of photos and videos showing how much fun they were having together. 🦮🐕‍🦺 When we picked him up, my dog was clearly sad to leave - always a good sign! 🥹🥲😭🫶 We're already looking forward to our next booking. Highly recommend Winnie and Boba, especially if you have a smaller breed that likes to run and play. ✨

It was my first time using doggy day care for my 8 month golden retriever Sunflower and everything went smooth with Felix! Since it was my first time, I had a couple phone calls with Felix before the actual day and he answered all my questions. I dropped Sunflower off in the morning on my way to the office and picked her up after work. Thank you Felix!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Linda Mar commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 4,238 sitters in Linda Mar, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
