About: We’re dog lovers (currently without our own furball) and would love to care for yours. Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. We’ll schedule a meet & greet ahead of time to make sure that you’ll both feel comfortable with us while apart and that your dog is a good match for us. About: I’ve been taking care of animals for 20+ years. I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs, rode horses, volunteered at animal shelters, and we currently have 2 tuxedo kitties. I have been volunteering with local animals shelters for the past 10+ years; mainly dogs, cats, and small animals. I usually opt to support pet care (feeding, kennel cleaning, walks) and recently I have been supporting surgeries (spays, neuter, etc). From all of my experiences, I’ve found that patience, respect, and kindess are the pillars to good interactions with animals. The most important thing to me will always be the well-being of your pet. About: My dog recently passed away, Lucky. I can say I was very friendly, sweet, energentic, and gentle owner of Lucky. I loved walking and running with my dog. I have experience taking care of my friend's dogs as well. I am currently on vacation from elementary school. I have my spare time to play with your dog. And I love walking and running. “Kristine was very professional and very accommodating to our dogs’ needs especially one of our dogs who can be a bit domineering towards other dogs. Luckily our temperamental dog got along just fine with her dog which made things go more smoothly however she gave us the option to have her dog stay at a relative’s house in the instance there was any tension between our dogs. Kristine also made sure to give us daily updates on our dogs which included pictures which was very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be booking with Kristine in the future!”
