“Ivan was the best person to care for our temperamental, special needs dog, Otis. Otis is not comfortable with new people, but Ivan gave him his space, had patience with him and ultimately they became best buddies! My pup has Addisons disease and has an injured hind leg—Ivan took great care of him and made special accommodations for him so he would be comfortable and safe. It’s so obvious Ivan loves animals and has a kind heart for them. All these things allowed me and my partner the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation knowing Otis was in such great hands. We would not hesitate to have Ivan care for our fur baby again. Thank you, Ivan!”

“Diana and Michael are so great! Our pup has really taken to them, loves playing with their dog and is excited when we drop him off at their place. It makes us feel at ease knowing he is in such good hands, and is enjoying his time while we are away. They both are very conscientious and prompt communicators, and are also flexible as we have been delayed in our travels before and they make it work with adjusted pick up times. We highly recommend them!”

“Kenneth did an amazing job watching my dog. He sent me so many great updates with photos multiple times a day so I knew how she was doing. My dog can be a little shy with new people but Kenneth made her feel comfortable and at home. I could tell by the photos she had warmed up. Kenneth was also very good at following the care instructions I left. I would definitely recommend him as a dog sitter!”

“Suey was great! So easy to work with, responsive and professional. I was worried about our dog getting along with other dogs so she sent me multiple pictures of Ruby with other dogs and even texted me 10 minutes after dropping off Ruby to let me know she was adjusting fine. We’ll definitely use her again!”

“Doug was great with my terrier. Gave him lots of exercise, was very communicative, sent beautiful photos! I was able to enjoy my time away knowing Parker was in good hands! Thank you Doug!”

“Tina took excellent care of my dog and gave helpful updates throughout my dog's stay with her. She spent a lot of time playing with my dog and also shared many cute photos. Tina was easy to communicate with and I would definitely board my dog with her again. Her dog Sharkie is also very cute and playful and got along wonderfully with my dog.”

“Kelly and her mom were amazing! They took such great care of our little guy during our wedding weekend. This was our first time using Rover, and we feel so lucky to have found Kelly. She sent plenty of updates throughout the weekend, and we could tell our dog, Tobi, felt right at home. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while we celebrated. We will definitely be booking with Kelly again in the future.”

“Best cat sitter ever! Spencer spent so much time with our timid cat who warmed up to him so quickly. Spencer truly cares and goes the extra mile to take care of your pet.”

“Our cat has some special medication needs, and I was nervous to leave her with a new person. Angie handled it all super well; she even found us a better way to prepare the medication! Our cat was very content when we came back home, which is a rare vote of confidence. I highly recommend Angie.”

“Irina is very lovely lady and caring our cat so much! She followed all instructions, and visited our cat timely. She even stayed longer than our original booking window to spend time and play with Capy. Took a lot photos and video to make sure we feel comfortable during our leave. Our cat is a shy boy, usually hide from strangers but not to Irina. He even showed his belly with trust to her, that says something! We will not hesitate to work with Irina when necessary for next time, thank you so much!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️”

“Ruby has cat sit for me and took my dog on walks many times at this point. She is always reliable and I can just tell that she loves animals. She treats them as if they were her own and my pets love seeing her as well. Highly recommended!!”

About: Having raised my own puppy and dogsat for friends with anxious pups, I'm well versed in how to provide for a pup's full time needs. I can also provide puppy training in house manners (for example: waiting patiently to be fed, waiting at doors, simple commands). My care and attention to my own puppy, Chef, is full time and I am super excited to share that with your pup. We can go on excursions or hang around the house or play fetch at the dogpark. Whatever your pup is up for. I have a fenced yard and a friendly pup for your pup(s) to play with! And if your pup doesn't want company for whatever reason, I have gates and crates to make sure they are safe and happy in their own space. Feel free to request photos/videos and check in anytime for updates.
About: We’re dog lovers (currently without our own furball) and would love to care for yours. Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. We’ll schedule a meet & greet ahead of time to make sure that you’ll both feel comfortable with us while apart and that your dog is a good match for us. Our home is 2 stories (wood floors downstairs, carpeted stairs & upstairs) with a front yard and small back patio area. We're in a safe neighborhood where we'll take daily walks.
“Michael is great… I messaged him on short notice and he was able to accommodate my dogs. One of my dogs is very old and he has some balance issues. Michael was great with him, and was able to determine his needs. My other dog was super happy at Michael’s place, when I went to pick him up he was running about with the other dogs! I would definitely go with Michael for all your dog related needs, he has really good dog insights, and you can trust that he will care for your pup(s)!”

“Doug took a good care of my my dog "Mochi". He was very good at communicating and flexible with my last minute request. I'm sure to leave my dog with him again! Thank you, Doug.”

“Anna and Conrad took great care of Teddy for the day and was able to accommodate our last minute request for booking and changes. Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). I would be more than happy to drop off our dog for another session with them. Thank you Anna, Conrad, Mochi, and Olive!”

“Yvette was awesome and great to work with! This was my first time using Rover and I can say because of her I will definitely be using it again! Charlie had a blast and I can tell he was well taken care of while my partner and I were at work. 10/10 recommend!”

“Kiara was an amazing sitter for my little Luna. She was really flexible with the drop off and pick up times to accommodate my work schedule. She gave me status updates and pictures throughout the day and I knew Luna was quite happy playing with her kids and having multiple long walks. I will definitely book with Kiara again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature. I grew up with a dog and a duck, and have continuously lived in homes with cats and dogs through college and graduate school, so I’m very comfortable with their routines and behavior. I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand the importance of consistency, attention, and keeping pets on their normal schedule. I have a very flexible schedule through freelance consulting work, which allows me to be available for pet care most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate a variety of schedules, whether it’s regular visits or last-minute needs. The only consistent commitment I have is volunteering on Monday afternoons at the Peninsula Humane Society, but outside of that, I’m highly flexible and able to adjust to your pet’s routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box or cleanup routines, exercise, and any specific preferences your pet is used to. I take a calm and patient approach, especially with shy or more independent pets, and make sure they feel comfortable in their own space. I also keep the home clean and organized, and treat it with the same respect I would my own. I’m attentive to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate updates regularly so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

“Zoey loved her stay with Zicheng! I've always been a tad nervous sending my pup to stay with someone new, but felt instantly at ease with Zicheng, thanks to the many pictures and updates sent. She seemed well cared for, and we'll be back.”

“Communicative and I really enjoyed seeing pictures of our pup during her stay! Stella I'm sure enjoyed all the play time and walks~ Thank you! Would love for her to stay again!”

“Kiara and her family took great care of our 8 year old labradoodle for little over a week. Our puppy has some medical needs and we were very comfortable that he was well taken care of. Thank you Kiara”

“This was Yogi’s first time away from home, and Cynthia made sure he was well cared for. She sent us lots of updates (which we requested) and Yogi looked so happy the whole time. We weren’t sure how he’d do since we only adopted him a few months ago, but he seemed to have such a great time! Would book again!”

“Sandra & Jose are everything you could want in the people who you trust to watch your pet. I could tell from the photos that my pup felt safe, happy, and truly at home with this lovely couple. It kinda felt like he belongs with them, so I was happy to extend his stay. Communication was on point, lots of cute pupdates, and my dog came home as one should after a lovely vacation— relaxed and happy. Thank you both for your time & dedication. It means the world to my little family.”

“Our dog had a great time with Michael & Evie! We actually think he misses them :) They always updates us and send us photos of Kaido without us asking for it. We are really glad we left Kaido with them. Definitely won't be the last time! Thank you again Michael & Evie for taking such good care of our gentle giant 💜”

“Words are not enough to describe our gratitude to Allison and family for taking care of our Stewie for a week. She is the best sitter one could ask for. When she sends updates, which is pretty regularly, I could see from the pics that my dog is happy and being cared for. I recommend Allison to anyone looking for dog sitter!”

“Tiffany was great! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Our dog, Tomo, looked happy throughout his stay with her and she spent quality time with him.”

“Kristine was very professional and very accommodating to our dogs’ needs especially one of our dogs who can be a bit domineering towards other dogs. Luckily our temperamental dog got along just fine with her dog which made things go more smoothly however she gave us the option to have her dog stay at a relative’s house in the instance there was any tension between our dogs. Kristine also made sure to give us daily updates on our dogs which included pictures which was very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be booking with Kristine in the future!”

“Leeeun took care of our Teddy for 15 days while we were on an extended vacation. She sent numerous photos and correspondence. I did not worry at all while Teddy was in her care. She treated him like a member of her family and I know Teddy enjoyed every minute. Do not hesitate to choose her to take care of your pup!”
