“Katie and Jason are great dogsitters (and super friendly humans in general)! They took great care of our pup Kiwi, who can be anxious and slow to warm up to people, and they understood that Kiwi needs to go at her own pace. Upon handoff, they immediately took her for a quick walk around the block which helped ease the transition, and by that evening, Kiwi was comfortable and asking for pets. Katie and Jason are quick to respond and kept us updated with both many adorable photos and brief recaps of walks or fun things that happened in the home. They accommodated our late pickup time with no fuss and had everything prepared: the bowls were washed and dried, and the blanket was folded. Highly recommend these two! Kiwi would love to stay with them again. Thanks Katie and Jason!”

“Ivan was so good to Toko and Arya while I was gone! They're both small dogs who are reserved around new people and new dogs. Toko came to him with a broken foot and a bunch of built up anxiety since he couldn't exercise, while Arya has way too much energy. He was very careful to make sure Toko stayed comfortable and couldn't injure himself, but also took Arya on several long adventures. Ivan sent me many great photos and daily updates of the pups while I was on vacation, which greatly reduced my own anxiety over them staying over! I could tell they had a great time, and I won't hesitate to book Ivan again!”

“Anne is wonderful and patient with our senior dog. She really made him feel safe and comfortable as he has such separation anxiety. She sent us so many pictures and updates. She is also so observant with his behavior. Thank you Anne for being such a loving and kind sitter! We appreciate you do much!”

“Communicative and I really enjoyed seeing pictures of our pup during her stay! Stella I'm sure enjoyed all the play time and walks~ Thank you! Would love for her to stay again!”

“We could not be happier with the care Ivana provided for our golden doodle, Gigi, during our week away. From the moment we connected, Ivana was incredibly responsive and caring which gave us complete peace of mind. She kept us updated every day with photos and videos, and it was clear that Gigi was happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. Ivana treated Gigi like her own, and we truly appreciated the care and thoughtfulness she showed throughout the entire stay. Ivana provided 10/10 care, and we would absolutely trust her with Gigi again. So happy we have found her. Thank you, Ivana! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“We had a great experience with Kelly! She took excellent care of our two dogs for several days and kept us updated throughout the stay. We felt fully at ease while we were away. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Irina took fantastic care of my dog, Daisy! She took her on long walks, gave her lots of cuddles, and was very attuned to her individual needs. On top of that, Irina was very responsive to me, and sent lots of great pictures of their adventures together. It was so nice to know that Daisy was in good hands, and I didn't need to stress about her while I was away!”

“Rocky came back calm and we can tell he gets treated very well with Zhenting's family. So glad we found her as we love she has an enclosed backyard space and she is very attentive. We love seeing how Rocky is doing throughout his stay with all the photos she sends!”

“Convenient drop off and pick up near SFO. Happy that Capi had a buddy to play with during his stay. Both Stephen and Maggie seem very comfortable and happy with dogs. I was confident he was in good hands. Capi seemed his happy, healthy self when we picked him up! Thanks for a smooth and worry-free stay!”

“Mario is incredible. He was wonderful with my puppy and Loki is always excited to see Mario again which is a great sign. Mario is flexible and truly loves animals. I look forward o Mario watching Loki often as I travel a lot. ”

“Annie is a wonderful sitter. She spends a lot of time outside with the pups in her care, gives them homemade treats, she helps to reinforce good behavior, and she sends plenty of photos. My dog Juliet always comes home clean, happy, and ready for a nap. I highly recommend Annie for your next sit.”

“Needed to book a sitter last minute for a couple of nights and Michael was very accommodating. He was also great at sending updates and photos throughout the stay, which is always a nice surprise and very much appreciated.”

“Jennifer took care of my dog like one of her one. She constantly gave me periodic updates and was flexible with the pick up time when my flight got delayed. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs in my past and also had a dog when I was younger, unfortunately he passed away but I loved every moment with him. I’ve also babysat and cared for relatives dogs many times. I have a very flexible schedule and am not working right now as I have some time off for the summer. I also have a car so I can commute anywhere and am willing to spend a lot of time with pets. When I had a dog who unfortunately passed away last year, I used to be the person that walked him, fed him, and cleaned him, I really enjoyed it and really loved that dog. I have a lot of experience with pets in general and am willing to care for whatever pet comes my way. I’ve always been told I’m a caring person and want to show that to people in need.
“Tiffany was great! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Our dog, Tomo, looked happy throughout his stay with her and she spent quality time with him.”

“Kitty was a wonderful dog sitter for our 7 month old puppy Kiwi. This was our very first time to use Rover and had our puppy boarding for 5nights! We were nervous to leave him by himself but Kitty knew how to handle puppies. From the first meeting, our puppy Kiwi did not show any fear or anxiety (even didn’t cry or bark) when we left him on the boarding day. Kitty sent us photos and kept us posted on how he was doing through his stay. It was great to have her take care of our little one! Thank you so much Kitty!”

“Deepa and Deb are so great with Norman. He’s very shy and tentative with new people and he’s definitely grown to love staying with them. They are always patient with him and we know we can trust them every time. Also great communicators and always send pictures! We definitely recommend!”

“My dogs stayed with Anna for three weeks while I recover from surgery. She was so patient with my two dogs and gave them lots of affection and loving care. Not only she sent me lots photos and texts communication, she let me visit them at her home. I’m so grateful for Anna, so I can heal properly and peacefully during these three weeks.”
“Di was great! He took wonderful care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay. Everything went smoothly, and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with him. Highly recommend Di!”

“Aik came by the house before his petsitting visit to learn where everything was... he followed instructions perfectly and sent a picture of the one cat who came out to see him when he was here. Looking forward to having him take care of the cats, house and plants again!”

“Stephanie was great with our two cats! She cleaned the litter and refilled their water bowls everyday and also gave one of our cats his daily medication. He’s a shy cat but she made sure he had all his medication and gave him extra treats! She also played with both cats and sent lots of pictures and updates. We will definitely book Stephanie to look after our cats again!!”

“Gina was great with my cat who warmed up really quickly to her. She is very friendly and has the patience to allow pets to get familiar with her. She made sure my cat was getting the care and playtime needed during the 4 days we were out of state. I highly recommend booking with her to watch your pets.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for 20+ years. I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs, rode horses, volunteered at animal shelters, and we currently have 2 tuxedo kitties (Olive & Gruyere). Cats are hands down my favorite animals. I love their curiosity, independence, and overall silliness. Whether it is the cats I sit, the ones at the shelter, or interacting with my own pets; I enjoy spending time with each one and getting to know their unique personalities. From all of my experiences, I’ve found that patience, respect, and kindness are the pillars to good interactions with animals. I also have formal “Fear Free” animal behavior training from my shelter experience. The most important thing to me will always be the well-being of your pet. Happy to help out fellow pet parents through Rover! Cheers, Marissa
“Olivia was fantastic with my two cats. Often they get stressed out when I’m on trips but this time, with Olivia looking after them they hardly seemed to have noticed I was gone! Will definitely use again and would thoroughly recommend!”

“Amie did a great job taking care of our 2 cats. She is reliable and highly responsive. My cats felt at ease with her. I will definitely book her again whenever we need cat care!”

About: I have spent my life around dogs and cats. I like to think I speak their language! They sense I am a welcoming person and warm up to me quickly. I am calm and patient. I respect their space and let them warm up to me. I am gentle in my nature.
“Spencer is a great petsitter - friendly, conscientious, and responsive! He took care of our two cats over the holidays, sent lots of pics to let us know how they were doing, and paid attention to all the instructions we had shared. Would gladly book again!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 10 years old. Family, friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of and feed their feline family members while they are away. I am able to give cats oral and subcutaneous medications if needed.
About: Taking care of dogs started for me with my wonderful and energetic Airedale in my teens and twenties, and continues as a dedicated uncle to my sister’s 4 dogs (yes 4!). I am the guy my friends consistently ask to pet sit when they leave town. I also take pride in leaving your house as nice as when arrived. For long stays or short, I’m happy to help. I am currently working part time nearby and I am not planning holiday travel, so I’ll have plenty of time for quality visits with your dogs! Your pets and your home environment are important to you. I will exercise the utmost care with both and make sure you feel comfortable entrusting me with either or both.

“Erica is wonderful! She took amazing care of our two cats; making 2 drop in visits each day. She left thoughtful comments as to how they were doing and sent photos with each visit. She clearly loves animals and is a lovely person herself! I will entrust her to care for my pets in the future.”

“Cecilia is pretty fantastic! We have a very timid cat who took months to warm up to me. But apparently she had no trouble warming up to Cecilia! She was very well taken care of and we will inevitably rebook again with Cecilia!”

“Marcel was well taken care of with Ivana! If you want a tired puppy this is definitely the place. Ivana was consistent with keeping me posted on how Marcel was doing throughout the day. Very accommodating with time frame as well! Definitely leaving a tip for that helped me out so much! Has spent repeated days with her and everytime was exhausted! Her dog was friendly with our puppy as well, helped with socializing him!”

“Anna and Conrad took great care of Teddy for the day and was able to accommodate our last minute request for booking and changes. Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). I would be more than happy to drop off our dog for another session with them. Thank you Anna, Conrad, Mochi, and Olive!”

About: My family and I have a love for animals. We have gone through many different species of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, and birds. Apart from my family, I’ve helped house-sit and cared for my friend’s dog for a few years now whenever she’s away. During that time, I’ve handled daily walks, feeding, and making sure the dog feels safe and comfortable at home. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and extra availability to care for and walk dogs. I’m able to provide consistent attention and accommodate different walking times throughout the week. I like to follow their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I make sure they are fed on time, get regular walks, have fresh water, and receive plenty of attention and playtime.
“Katie and Jason welcomed our sweet pittie Archie for daycare so we could give Archie the chance to get to know them some before they watch him overnight later this month. Archie came home relaxed and happy! We also received so many beautiful pictures and a video showing his time with Jason and Katie, which calmed this nervous mom’s anxiety about leaving Archie with anyone else. We’re so happy and relieved we found Katie and Jason, they are legitimate dog people! ♥️”

“Diana was so welcoming and accommodating to Teddy. They have a lovely house with a big back yard that he loved. She was also flexible with seeing whether Teddy would get along with other dogs she was boarding. The pictures she sent me that day made me feel like Teddy was in such good hands. He loved it there.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes since I was 10. Experienced in walking, feeding, bathing, and providing belly rubs that never disappoint! I have a 7-year-old retriever who’s my best buddy and keeps me experienced in caring for dogs. She’s super healthy, obedient, and knows cool tricks like sitting up on two legs! Since my school days, I’ve cared for street dogs—feeding them, ensuring they’re vaccinated, and giving them the love they deserve. This has taught me empathy, responsibility, and an understanding of diverse dog needs! As a remote tech consultant, I can organize my day to easily incorporate pet care into my routine. I work eastern hours so that gives frees up my day earlier. I can give your dog plenty of attention while managing my work responsibilities! “Kitty is phenomenal. She is so sweet, flexible and reliable. My dog is always excited to see her.I work long hours and she is able to work with my schedule. She takes her out for walks and always sends me photos. I trust her completely.”

About: I grew up with my brother's dogs and have been watching dogs professionally for the last three years. Just as happy to take a high-energy dog as a mellow old senior citizen. Even the stubborn ones :) I work from home as a writer and can give your pup lots of attention throughout the day. I take regular breaks to step outside to Washington Park or the fields and like to do a longer walk on the Bay Trail or Coyote Point once a day. I have a big grassy enclosed yard, too, with no dogs on the other side of the fence. If they like having a playmate, my brother’s dog Junior is three blocks away and always down to play. The yard is enclosed and I am home for most of the day on any given day. If they get cold easily, I’m happy to cover them with a blanket when they are resting. I’m a coldie too and like my house warm, so I get it! During hot days, the house stays mercifully cool, and I have a fan to help dogs with thicker fur.
“Yvette was awesome and great to work with! This was my first time using Rover and I can say because of her I will definitely be using it again! Charlie had a blast and I can tell he was well taken care of while my partner and I were at work. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature. I grew up with a dog and a duck, and have continuously lived in homes with cats and dogs through college and graduate school, so I’m very comfortable with their routines and behavior. I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand the importance of consistency, attention, and keeping pets on their normal schedule. I also have three tortoises of my own, including one I’ve had for nearly 23 years, which has made me especially attentive to routines, environment, and long-term care. I am currently volunteering at the Kitten Nursery with the Peninsula Humane Society, where I help taking care of kittens too young for adoption. I have a very flexible schedule through freelance consulting work, which allows me to be available for pet care most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate a variety of schedules, whether it’s regular visits or last-minute needs. The only consistent commitment I have is volunteering on Monday afternoons at the Peninsula Humane Society, but outside of that, I’m highly flexible and able to adjust to your pet’s routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box or cleanup routines, exercise, and any specific preferences your pet is used to. I take a calm and patient approach, especially with shy or more independent pets, and make sure they feel comfortable in their own space. I also keep the home clean and organized, and treat it with the same respect I would my own. I’m attentive to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate updates regularly so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

“Rumi may have found her new favorite person in Lizbeth! Rumi is still a puppy and she can sometimes be a bit distracted while on walks. With Lizbeth, however, loose leash walking around the neighborhood wasn't a problem at all, even with skateboarders nearby and leaves blowing in the wind (her absolute favorite thing to lunge at). Lizbeth was communicative, prompt, and from the big smile Rumi had after she came home from her walk, you could just tell that Lizbeth has a special way with dogs. We absolutely loved our experience with Lizbeth and would highly recommend her!”

My goal is for you to feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I can administer oral and subcutaneous medications. I am happy to provide references from former Gilead and Genentech colleagues as well as neighbors. My best friend’s brother is a police detective who knows me well. I graduated with a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, then went on and completed my MBA at Cornell University. I stopped working recently, so I have plenty of time to devote and dedicate to pet sitting. I am available mornings, afternoons and nights, depending on what you and your pet’s schedule requires. Please note I do not offer boarding or pet care services in my own home. I have 2 cats who need to be the only animals in the house.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals for 20+ years. I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs, rode horses, volunteered at animal shelters, and we currently have 2 tuxedo kitties. I have been volunteering with local animals shelters for the past 10+ years; mainly dogs, cats, and small animals. I usually opt to support pet care (feeding, kennel cleaning, walks) and recently I have been supporting surgeries (spays, neuter, etc). From all of my experiences, I’ve found that patience, respect, and kindess are the pillars to good interactions with animals. The most important thing to me will always be the well-being of your pet. Happy to help out fellow pet parents through Rover! Cheers, Marissa I’m currently between jobs (biotech in the bay) and am happy to add some structure to my days with pet care. I’m available weekdays for visits, walks, and care. Not able to do boarding or home sits at this time. I will respect your space as if it was my own; no shoes in the house, leave things cleaner than you found it, pet-safety conscientious (ex food risks). When visiting your pets they’ll have my undivided attention and you have my promise to thoroughly review any instructions; big or small.
“va did an amazing job caring for and walking my dog, Riley, while I was traveling. She was extremely professional, responsive, and reliable throughout the entire process, which gave me a great deal of peace of mind while away. The biggest sign of how wonderful she was is that Riley was incredibly happy, calm, and content when I returned home. It was clear he was very well cared for and comfortable with her. I truly appreciated the communication and attention she provided, and I would absolutely work with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

In my home, I create a cozy and safe space for pets, with plenty of room to play and relax. I ensure they’re fed, hydrated, and get regular exercise through walks and playtime. For clients’ homes, I stick to their pets' routines—whether it’s feeding, training, or ensuring they have a fun time. I also make sure to keep their environment clean and secure while providing lots of attention and affection!
“Spencer continues to do great with Aza and she is always thrilled when she sees him walking up to the house. He is super responsive, great with communication and flexibility. Super happy to have found Spencer and love to see the relationship he has built with Aza through their weekly walks.”

About: I have taken care of and been around many dogs since childhood. Growing up, my first dog was a Jack Russell Terrier. We got him in 2009 and he lived a happy active life until 2021. In 2022, I adopted an Australian Cattle/Great Dane mix. I also have experience caring for and looking after Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Maltese, Pitbulls, and Dachshunds. My schedule is highly flexible! I am able to switch my schedule to my client's needs to make sure their pet is taken care of. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays. My dog is super friendly and loves having doggy friends around. I am able to go on long walks and spend time doing enriching activities.

“Allison has been such an amazing "friend" to our dog, Kona. We can tell how much Kona is loved and cared for while we are away at work and school. We get regular updates on how Kona is doing, including pictures! Would definitely recommend Allison for your dog's needs!”
About: Pets are humanizing. They remind us of our obligation and responsibility to preserve and care for all life - James Cromwell As a child I spent summers on a farm and have always been connected to nature & animals. My first pet was a chicken at 7yrs old and had cats my whole life, even throughout college! My first dog was a female Shelted Sheepdogs (sheltie) then we got her a brother a year later. What fun sweet memories and joy having them growing up. Humans can learn a lot from our pets, their unconditional love & playfulness. Caring for animals is a privilege. Similar to raising children (I have two teens) and requires lots of awareness, love, patience, attention to detail, and kindness. Safety is always priority number one I work an office job from 8a-5p during the week and am available for pet care after hours, early mornings, and on the weekends. If a client is near my office or home I’m able to visit sooner. I live in a nice neighborhood near a great park and walking trails. My home is safe, organized, clean with fenced yard and two pets (dog & cat) to keep your fur baby company. If your pet is crate-trained I can support that too.

Hire me to dog-sit, dog walk, and take care of your pup; I offer extra attention with snuggles, kisses, and plenty of outdoor time! I currently work from home and have plenty of free time to help walk/play with/babysit pups! I can be extremely flexible regarding time. I have a car and can go anywhere to dog-sit your pup! I can be present for a few hours in the house, take them on a long walk, or simply drop by to check in and feed the pup!

“Communicative and I really enjoyed seeing pictures of our pup during her stay! Stella I'm sure enjoyed all the play time and walks~ Thank you! Would love for her to stay again!”

“Jennifer took care of my dog like one of her one. She constantly gave me periodic updates and was flexible with the pick up time when my flight got delayed. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Tiffany was great! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Our dog, Tomo, looked happy throughout his stay with her and she spent quality time with him.”

“Evie watched our dog Willow for a little over a week while we were on vacation. From the regular updates we got, I can tell that she was giving so much care and attention to Willow, and that Willow loved hanging out with her as well! We really appreciate the peace of mind especially as this is the longest we’ve left our dog with a sitter on rover. We would definitely use her services again.”

“Stephanie was easily reachable and let me know if my dog was doing ok. He did cause some trouble for her but she was super nice about it. Thank you for taking care of my dog when I was out of town!”

“Aimee was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and took amazing care of Felix while we were away. She kept me updated with lots of pictures, which really put my mind at ease. Felix looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. I would absolutely book another stay with Aimee the next time a need arises. Highly recommend! 🐶”

“It's the first time our boy boarding from home for long period of time. Zicheng made it a lot easier than it could be, following all of our directions carefully, and giving constant updates with photo. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you.”

“Shao was amazing. Teddy loved her right away and enjoyed his time with her and the other pups. Will definitely book again next time I will be out of town and can’t take my sweet Teddy boy with me.”

“Leeeeun and her family was so wonderful to our Bonnie. I received updates everyday, multiple times a day, and tons of photos! Communication was great and fast. Above of all, Bonnie really likes her and her family! I definitely will book with her again. As a matter of the fact, my boyfriend wants her to be our regular dog sitter.”

“This was Yogi’s first time away from home, and Cynthia made sure he was well cared for. She sent us lots of updates (which we requested) and Yogi looked so happy the whole time. We weren’t sure how he’d do since we only adopted him a few months ago, but he seemed to have such a great time! Would book again!”

“Andy took excellent care of our 10 year old Weimaraner over a long holiday break. She had lots of exercise and healthy treats (he verified if it was okay to give them to her first). Andy sent photos and videos of her often. We were very happy with her stay with him and Milo!”

“I sound like a broken record but what can I say? Allison is the best! My sister and I don’t feel safe leaving my dog with anyone but Allison. Stewie can be bit handful and needy but Allison and her merry band of dogs (Buster, Bochy and whoever else is in her care) keep him busy, care for him and make him happy. Thanks Allison. Til next time!”

“Sandra & Jose are everything you could want in the people who you trust to watch your pet. I could tell from the photos that my pup felt safe, happy, and truly at home with this lovely couple. It kinda felt like he belongs with them, so I was happy to extend his stay. Communication was on point, lots of cute pupdates, and my dog came home as one should after a lovely vacation— relaxed and happy. Thank you both for your time & dedication. It means the world to my little family.”

“Hazel was in such excellent hands with Angie and her family! My pup is only about six months old and definitely has puppy tendencies (and energy!) and Angie and her family were so patient with Hazel and made sure she had everything she needed during her one-week stay. I’ve never left Hazel for more than a couple days but I felt so much better knowing she was so well looked after. I also received multiple photos and videos throughout her stay. Thank you so much for taking care of Hazel!”

“Kaitlyn was so wonderful with our two pups! She sent lots of pictures and videos, gave us wonderful summaries of how the dogs were doing, and took them out on all kinds of walks and adventures. Kaitlyn also gets a big gold star for alerting us that one of our dogs seemed to have blood in her urine, and she very kindly offered to take her in to the vet. We happened to have family still in town who were able to make the vet visit, but Kaitlyn was awesome about keeping in communication throughout, managing the handoff, and administering the meds afterwards. We would love to have our dogs stay with her again.”
