About: My home is your pet’s home 🫶🏻 Safe and trusted environment 💛 I have been caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments since I was 10 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have always relied on me to check in, feed, and play with their pets. As a dedicated dog and cat owner myself, I understand that your pet is family. I am a very active person who loves long walks, so I can ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise. I’m also highly organized and comfortable following specific feeding or medication schedules to keep your pup's routine consistent. I currently work in healthcare administration during the week, which means my weekends are entirely dedicated to pet care! I am available for full-time boarding and house sitting from Friday evening through Sunday night. Because I am a student and work a consistent schedule, I am very reliable and punctual with my check-ins and walk times. Your pup will have my full attention during their stay! I live in a pet-friendly environment in San Mateo where your dog's safety is my top priority. I have a friendly dog of my own who loves making new friends, making my home a great 'social' spot for your pup. I am very comfortable with 'Meet & Greets' to ensure everyone gets along. I maintain a clean, safe space and am happy to accommodate crate training or any specific home boundaries you have in place.

Diana was so welcoming and accommodating to Teddy. They have a lovely house with a big back yard that he loved. She was also flexible with seeing whether Teddy would get along with other dogs she was boarding. The pictures she sent me that day made me feel like Teddy was in such good hands. He loved it there.

Kiara was an amazing sitter for my little Luna. She was really flexible with the drop off and pick up times to accommodate my work schedule. She gave me status updates and pictures throughout the day and I knew Luna was quite happy playing with her kids and having multiple long walks. I will definitely book with Kiara again!

About: Having raised my own puppy and dogsat for friends with anxious pups, I'm well versed in how to provide for a pup's full time needs. I can also provide puppy training in house manners (for example: waiting patiently to be fed, waiting at doors, simple commands). My care and attention to my own puppy, Chef, is full time and I am super excited to share that with your pup. We can go on excursions or hang around the house or play fetch at the dogpark. Whatever your pup is up for. I have a fenced yard and a friendly pup for your pup(s) to play with! And if your pup doesn't want company for whatever reason, I have gates and crates to make sure they are safe and happy in their own space. Feel free to request photos/videos and check in anytime for updates.

Toffee was cared extremely well by Yiteng and his wife during the full-day daycare period. This is the first time our dog Toffee went to a completely new place and be cared by a "total stranger", which made Toffee super stressed and hard to do her routine normally. But thanks to the loving cares Toffee received, Yiteng's wife made Toffee feeling like at home and getting comfortable in the new place very quickly. We received many update messages and videos/pictures during the day to see how Toffee was doing and also knowing that Toffee got full attention from the sitter. Another factor we liked the service the most is the nice outdoor environment where Toffee could walk around and do her potty break, which was similar to Toffee's regular routine that she used to while at home. This made it so much easier for Toffee to get acclimated quickly. We required specific feeding routine for Toffee starting with the soft food we made (need to be refrigerated) followed by the hard food. Yiteng's wife is so accommodating on all of our requests, never say NO to any of our suggestions. I am truly grateful for the super loving care Toffee got and I strongly recommend the service from Yiteng's family. I am definitely planning to book this service again.

About: Welcome to Lauri and Friends Pet Care — where hospitality-inspired care meets canine adventure. Every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and communication style, and I love learning what helps them feel safe, confident, and balanced. My customer service management experience at an emergency veterinary hospital (formerly SF SPCA, now SF Animal Care & Control) gave me valuable experience supporting the wellbeing and safety of both feline and canine companions. My family and career have also been deeply rooted in the hospitality world, which I love incorporating into my pet care approach. From structured adventure walks and personalized updates to boutique-style boarding and in-home care, my goal is to create enriching experiences that bring peace of mind to both pets and their humans. My lifelong pet care journey began with caring for a wide variety of personalities and breeds within my own family — from the spirited energy of German Shepherds like Rocky and Ozzy, to the playful antics of Doberman mixes like Josh, and the gentle (sometimes spirited!) companionship of Bernese Mountain Dogs like Oliver. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the unique emotional and physical needs every animal brings, as well as the powerful bonds they share with humans. One of my greatest strengths is helping dogs and humans feel more connected, understood, and at ease together. Compassion, communication, safety, and authenticity are at the heart of everything I do. Your pets and home will be treated with the same level of attentiveness, respect, and care that I would want for my own family. Our initial meeting will be more than just a checklist of routines and rules. Let's uncover your pet's unique language of preferred commands and desired tricks—because learning is an adventure, and fostering good behavior is an ongoing journey. While I strive to accommodate your scheduling needs to the best of my ability, please keep in mind that creating a seamless experience for your pet may require some adjustments. Your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, and I'm dedicated to going the extra mile to ensure they receive the care they deserve. I appreciate your understanding that sometimes, good things take time. Communication is essential to our partnership. While I endeavor to respond as quickly as possible, please understand that there might be moments when my hands are full of paws, toys, and laughter. Thank you in advance for your patience—I assure you, your concerns and queries are valuable to me. My schedule revolves around your pet's needs, with regular walks and house-sitting routines thoughtfully planned. And for those rare moments, I'm here as your pet's emergency companion to the vet. This isn't just a side gig; it's my full-time calling—a career shaped by passion and expertise. Anticipate extraordinary experiences—playful moments during walks, explorations in local parks, and outdoor adventures (or a backpack outing for young puppies so no paws touch the ground). While I stay present with your pets, I also capture candid memories to share with you. Now, let's delve into the services I offer, designed to cater to your furry friends:

Anna and Conrad took great care of Teddy for the day and was able to accommodate our last minute request for booking and changes. Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). I would be more than happy to drop off our dog for another session with them. Thank you Anna, Conrad, Mochi, and Olive!

About: My family and I have a love for animals. We have gone through many different species of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, and birds. Apart from my family, I’ve helped house-sit and cared for my friend’s dog for a few years now whenever she’s away. During that time, I’ve handled daily walks, feeding, and making sure the dog feels safe and comfortable at home. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and extra availability to care for and walk dogs. I’m able to provide consistent attention and accommodate different walking times throughout the week. I like to follow their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I make sure they are fed on time, get regular walks, have fresh water, and receive plenty of attention and playtime.

About: We’re dog lovers (currently without our own furball) and would love to care for yours. Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. We’ll schedule a meet & greet ahead of time to make sure that you’ll both feel comfortable with us while apart and that your dog is a good match for us. Our home is 2 stories (wood floors downstairs, carpeted stairs & upstairs) with a front yard and small back patio area. We're in a safe neighborhood where we'll take daily walks.

Attentive care= happy dog= happy owner= happy life. I am available to care for your dog either playing with them at home and taking them on walks around the neighborhood, park, or green scenery to help with their sensory output 🐶. About: I have loved and cared for animals throughout my entire life. I started fostering dogs and puppies a couple years ago (after our 16 year old chihuahua passed away) and it has brought a lot of happiness to our family. My 7 year old daughter especially loves animals and is excited to help care for your pets. We will treat your dog as if it was our own! We look forward to meeting you and taking care of your pups! I’m currently only working part time and I am home throughout the day. I love going on walks daily and can take your dog out multiple times a day! I have a fenced back yard and lots of space for your dog. Dogs are welcome anywhere in our home and we will treat them like they are own!

About: I grew up with my brother's dogs and have been watching dogs professionally for the last three years. Just as happy to take a high-energy dog as a mellow old senior citizen. Even the stubborn ones :) I work from home as a writer and can give your pup lots of attention throughout the day. I take regular breaks to step outside to Washington Park or the fields and like to do a longer walk on the Bay Trail or Coyote Point once a day. I have a big grassy enclosed yard, too, with no dogs on the other side of the fence. If they like having a playmate, my brother’s dog Junior is three blocks away and always down to play. The yard is enclosed and I am home for most of the day on any given day. If they get cold easily, I’m happy to cover them with a blanket when they are resting. I’m a coldie too and like my house warm, so I get it! During hot days, the house stays mercifully cool, and I have a fan to help dogs with thicker fur.

About: From wild puppy zoomies to slow strolls with seniors, I’ve done it all! I’ve raised our corgi since she was a puppy helping with crate training, leash skills, potty training, learning new tricks, etc. I’ll adjust my care to meet your dog’s energy and needs, whether that’s playing fetch or just offering a calm and comfortable environment. Your dog will get treated just as if they were my own. I’m currently working from home full-time so I have the time and freedom to give your dogs the attention, play, and care they deserve. I take my own dog on multiple walks and trips to the dog park everyday and your pup is welcome to come along! My schedule is flexible and can be tailored to fit you and your dogs needs. Bettina was wonderful! I liked that she wasn't over eager to book us to ensure our puppy was the right fit in her home. For a 5 month old working dog breed, she was gracious in helping watch him while we had to go into the office. I appreciate her attention to detail and while Archer ate a leaf off one of her houseplants & chewed a rug :(, she was more concerned about his safety which I am grateful for. Thank you again, Bettina!
