“This was our first time user Rover with our 1.5 year old dog and we were a bit nervous until we met Yiteng. Our dog took to them immediately and they took such wonderful care of her, following our asks to the letter and going above and beyond to make sure she had a safe, fun time. We got many videos and pictures of her, putting us at ease. Will 100% use again and highly recommend.”

About: I've regularly checked in on friend's and family's pets since high school. I've lived with and owned dogs for 4.5 years now, and also have a cat! I would love to spend some time playing with or brushing your dog or cat. I'm open to checking on other pets as well with instructions - I have experience with fish. I have learned to give cats oral medications and sneak meds in food as needed; just let me know what your pet needs! I'm currently taking a break from full-time work to write a book. I am fully available during typical business hours - MTWTF from morning to 5pm. I also have some availability on evenings and weekends as needed! For drop-in visits and walks - I'm happy to come to your place to check on your pet or pets! We can do an intro visit if that will help keep them calm. I will take things at their speed, whether that be run all the way to the park or quietly chill until they feel comfortable saying hi to me! For daycare - I live in an apartment with a private dog park and can separate my pets (cat & dog) from yours in separate rooms if needed. The park is rarely used and secure for dogs of all sizes. Louie would love a playmate if your dog is up for it! We also have very active bird feeders on our private balcony if your pet is more of an observer.
“Diana was so welcoming and accommodating to Teddy. They have a lovely house with a big back yard that he loved. She was also flexible with seeing whether Teddy would get along with other dogs she was boarding. The pictures she sent me that day made me feel like Teddy was in such good hands. He loved it there.”

About: We’re dog lovers (currently without our own furball) and would love to care for yours. Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. We’ll schedule a meet & greet ahead of time to make sure that you’ll both feel comfortable with us while apart and that your dog is a good match for us. Our home is 2 stories (wood floors downstairs, carpeted stairs & upstairs) with a front yard and small back patio area. We're in a safe neighborhood where we'll take daily walks.
“Zhenting and her family are so friendly and caring. Today was the first day I sent my dogs to daycare and I was very nervous about it but they had a good time with Zhenting! She sends me pictures and messages frequently throughout the day. Very mindful and lovely family!”

“Anna and Conrad took great care of Teddy for the day and was able to accommodate our last minute request for booking and changes. Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). I would be more than happy to drop off our dog for another session with them. Thank you Anna, Conrad, Mochi, and Olive!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I grew up with pets and have helped neighbors, friends, and family with dog walking, feeding, bathing, and basic care. I’m patient, gentle, and always prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I treat every pet like family. I have two children and a flexible schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. During this time, I’m fully available to walk, feed, and care for your pet. I respect your home and your pet’s needs. I provide a loving, safe, and calm environment, making sure every pet feels cared for like family.
About: I graduated with an Animal Science degree from UC Davis, worked one year at an animal hospital in Southern California, and have volunteered at animal shelters in both Davis and San Francisco. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs. I understand animal behavior, can spot early signs of discomfort or stress, and I’m experienced with administering basic medications, following feeding routines, and providing gentle, patient care for older pets. I treat every pet as an individual, whether that means helping a puppy with structure and positive reinforcement, or giving senior pets the calm, attentive care they need to feel safe and comfortable. I work from home as a software engineer, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and check-ins, and I can easily adjust my work blocks around a pet’s needs. Because I’m home most of the time, pets are never left alone for long periods. I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular walks, feeding, and companionship, whether that’s a midday walk, a potty break, or extra care for puppies or senior pets. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality, whether I’m caring for them in my home or a client’s home. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and preferred play or rest times. I also have my own dog, so my home is already set up to be safe, clean, and pet-friendly. I’m very mindful about introductions, supervision, and making sure every pet feels comfortable and secure. I never force interactions and always prioritize safety and calm environments. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine, providing regular updates, and ensuring their space is respected and left clean. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and energy levels, and I communicate promptly if I notice anything out of the ordinary. My goal is for pets to feel safe, cared for, and stress-free, and for owners to feel confident that their pets are in good hands.
“I'm so glad to have found Minori. She is responsive, thorough with the initial intake, and very caring towards Lea. This was our second time having Lea over and she was already excited to be there during drop off.”

“Andy took such good care of Korra. Korra had fun playing with Milo, going for walk and even got pan fried beef for lunch! Now that's more than most of us get for our lunch 😀. Andy also shared lots of pictures and videos during the day. We will definitely book Andy for future daycare and boarding needs.”

“Michael is phenomenal! He is responsive and attentive to detail. You can tell he has a lot of experience. Our pup warmed up to him right away & I could tell she was in good hands. We will continue to utilize him for our future needs.”

“Olivia went to Katharine for two days! I love that Katharine keeps Olivia active, gives her a lot of attention and takes awesome photos! Katharine is very caring and Olivia can’t wait to go back and spend the day with her. I highly recommend her. 🙂”

“Carlos went above and beyond for my dog Jack Jack. He was very flexible on drop off pick up times, and always responsive. My dog hurt his foot at home and Carlos was able to adjust his care accordingly, and even helped by rebandaging his foot at the end of each day so jack jack wouldn't lick it. Couldn't be happier with the service, and would highly reccomended him to anyone.”

“Very clean home and our pup seemed like he really enjoyed his stay with Hui! She sent photos throughout the day and was very attentive. I appreciate her understanding and care with puppy. I hope she can watch Harvey in the future!”

“Leila saved me from the pinch I was in to find a last minute Dog sitter to attend an event that fell into my lap. She was easy to work with, very communicative and took my dog sight on scene and showed him a very good time. I would definitely use her again.”

“Deepa & Deb were amazing! Quick to respond, attentive to detail, and sent plenty of pics throughout the day! Definitely plan on booking them again in the future.”

About: I’m a Bay Area native who grew up with a mischievous Maltese. I have been around dogs all my life and am now a failed foster turned owner of two well behaved 4 year old chihuahua mixes. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and have great success doing behavioral training with all kinds of dogs. Sitting + Boarding - Before sitting, I will ask about your dog's day to day routine to understand how often and when they should eat, be walked, or taken outside. I'd also like to understand their energy level to gauge what activities we should be doing. I live in a house with a fenced yard in San Mateo and currently have very flexible hours. We walk our dogs everyday so you can insure your dog will have daily walks. If it’s sunny the dogs are allowed to run in and out of the yard as they please (supervised of course) so they will never be bored inside. My schedule is very flexible as I work from home. My dogs are fed twice a day and walked at least once a day. I will ask you for your feeding, exercise, and bedtime routine so we can make sure to keep the right schedule for your dog. My dogs are crate trained and love sleeping in their crates at night. I have sat dogs who are used to sleeping with their owners, they will sleep with us. I will ask you ahead of time how your dog likes to sleep. I want to make sure we emulate their home routine as much as possible.
Haywood Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was the first time I am using Rover and for that matter the first time to ever use a dog sitter. How fortunate are we to have found Chloe. She’s understanding and reassuring that Charlie will be well cared for and I truly believe she was. Chloe is calm and kind. She provided us with photos. ♥️ I won’t hesitate to used Chloe again.

Michael took great care of our dog Teddy. He was very knowledgeable and responsible. When we went to pick Teddy up, he was so cozy on the couch with the whole family that he barely realized we were there! We will definitely be using Michael again in the future.

My senior dog has some mobility issues, so I was relieved to find that Diana and Michael are experienced with older dogs. They treated her with such kindness and care, and I could truly feel how much this family cares for animals! I’d be happy to have my dog stay with them again! TYSM!

Our dog Kai had an amazing time with Yu Fei, Michael, and Kiki for doggy day care today. We appreciated all of the photo and video updates they sent, and it was clear that Kai was having a blast. She came home all relaxed and tired from a wonderful day. Thanks Yu Fei and Michael!
