“Anna and Conrad took great care of Teddy for the day and was able to accommodate our last minute request for booking and changes. Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). I would be more than happy to drop off our dog for another session with them. Thank you Anna, Conrad, Mochi, and Olive!”

“Jacques had a great time at Diana and Michael's for daycare! He was comfortable immediately at the meet and greet and sooo excited when we went back for the daycare. The family are all animal lovers and he seemed to bond very quickly (which is highly unusual) to Michael's Dad and Michael (at the meet and greet) which I still am amazed. As a rescue, he is very wary of most if not all men but not these guys! Diana sent me several pictures through out the day which was appreciated. I highly recommend them and will use the again!”

“Michael is phenomenal! He is responsive and attentive to detail. You can tell he has a lot of experience. Our pup warmed up to him right away & I could tell she was in good hands. We will continue to utilize him for our future needs.”

“Kelly’s awesome!!! My dog June can be shy around new people but warmed up to Kelly instantly. She provided tons of photos and meaningful updates. Some of the photos were of her giving the dogs a walk and playing with them, I’m confident that my dogs were well cared for and loved while with her.”

About: I've been around dogs since the day I was born, and I've always loved taking care of them. As a child, I helped care for our family dog, Tasha. Now, as a parent of three, I’ve passed that love for animals on to my kids and taught them how to help raise and care for pets. While I’ve always had big dogs, we adopted our little five-pound girl two years ago, and she’s brought a new kind of joy into our lives. I’ve also received training from SF Animal Care and Control to volunteer and care for shelter dogs, and I recently completed puppy school with our newest pup. My boys have participated in the Peninsula SPCA summer camp and enjoy reading to shelter animals on the weekends. Caring for animals is truly a family affair for us. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me the flexibility and time to help care for pets during both the week and weekends. Our whole family has a deep love for animals, and I would be happy to provide loving, reliable care for yours. I’m currently a stay at home mom. I will be available most week days and weekends depending on the kids extracurricular activities and school schedule. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby who can keep your dog company. When we’re away from home, our pup usually stays inside, and I do my best to keep outings short so your pet won't be left alone for long.
“Andy was so great with my enormous, energetic puppy! Took him on lots of walks, sent lots of pictures, and Beau was really excited to come back the next day and tired out when I picked him up. Thank you so much Andy!”

About: I am not just doing this as a job - I genuinely miss having a dog in my daily life! I grew up with Schnauzers and cared for current dog, Bora. I joined Rover to fill that gap! I guarantee that your pet will receive genuine affection, constant attention and dedicated care because I truly love being around dogs. I am responsible, reliable, and will always keep you updated with photos Pet care fits perfectly into my day because I am home most of the time so your dog won’t be alone. I only have to go to the office on Tuesday - Thursdays. Having a dog in my home brings me a lot of joy, so I can ensure you they will get all my attention! I am very attentive to their needs- if they want to play, we play! If they want to nap near me while I work, I’m happy to make a cozy spot.
About: Hi 👋 I’m Victoria, lover of all pets, young and old, big and small. I’m a stay at home pet mom so your baby is sure to get all the attention they want. I do walks, hikes, and even playtime at the park! If you think your baby would enjoy it, I can bring my own along- a friendly & energetic mixed breed boy- so they can tire each other out! I live minutes from the DOLA at Central Park in San Mateo and a short drive away from any of the dozens of parks & trails here on the peninsula. I’m a stay-at-home pet mom so caring for your pets is my full time job! I’m here if you need same-day care, a regular walk, or a long play & snuggles session. For home stays, it’s your pet, your way! I can give baths, medication, toys, and all the snuggles they need. I’ll be sure to follow any instructions to the tee and love them like my own. I have a full house with two cats and a puppy (I did say I was a pet lover 😅) but we’ve had other’s dogs and cats stay with us without any problems! I always take care of my guests as if they were my own and all my boys are friendly so we have a blast every time. Whether they’re staying with me or I stay with them, I will follow any instructions to the tee!
About: I’m a Bay Area native who grew up with a mischievous Maltese. I have been around dogs all my life and am now a failed foster turned owner of two well behaved 4 year old chihuahua mixes. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and have great success doing behavioral training with all kinds of dogs. Sitting + Boarding - Before sitting, I will ask about your dog's day to day routine to understand how often and when they should eat, be walked, or taken outside. I'd also like to understand their energy level to gauge what activities we should be doing. I live in a house with a fenced yard in San Mateo and currently have very flexible hours. We walk our dogs everyday so you can insure your dog will have daily walks. If it’s sunny the dogs are allowed to run in and out of the yard as they please (supervised of course) so they will never be bored inside. My schedule is very flexible as I work from home. My dogs are fed twice a day and walked at least once a day. I will ask you for your feeding, exercise, and bedtime routine so we can make sure to keep the right schedule for your dog. My dogs are crate trained and love sleeping in their crates at night. I have sat dogs who are used to sleeping with their owners, they will sleep with us. I will ask you ahead of time how your dog likes to sleep. I want to make sure we emulate their home routine as much as possible.
“Zhenting and her family were delightful, communicative, responsive, and most importantly so sweet to me and my puppy. I reached out in a pinch and she responded quickly, asked important questions, and made me feel comfortable about leaving my most important possession with her. Great experience and I’d recommend to any pet owner!”

About: I have loved and cared for animals throughout my entire life. I started fostering dogs and puppies a couple years ago (after our 16 year old chihuahua passed away) and it has brought a lot of happiness to our family. My 7 year old daughter especially loves animals and is excited to help care for your pets. We will treat your dog as if it was our own! We look forward to meeting you and taking care of your pups! I’m currently only working part time and I am home throughout the day. I love going on walks daily and can take your dog out multiple times a day! I have a fenced back yard and lots of space for your dog. Dogs are welcome anywhere in our home and we will treat them like they are own!
“Leila saved me from the pinch I was in to find a last minute Dog sitter to attend an event that fell into my lap. She was easy to work with, very communicative and took my dog sight on scene and showed him a very good time. I would definitely use her again.”

“Very clean home and our pup seemed like he really enjoyed his stay with Hui! She sent photos throughout the day and was very attentive. I appreciate her understanding and care with puppy. I hope she can watch Harvey in the future!”

“I am very happy with how things went with James. I wanted to meet him before I made the arrangements and he was totally fine with that. He has a really calm, easy going demeanor which is great for my dog - she’s a super hyper puppy. He was really flexible with me and able to accommodate my changing schedule, and I just felt that my dog was safe and happy with him. Thumbs up!”

“Lauren was amazing in every way. She responded quickly to my initial request and our messages after that, she was so lovely with our Stella, and sent beautiful pictures during the day to make sure we knew our pup was doing great. Stella was happy and relaxed when we picked her up, it was obvious that she had an awesome day!”

About: I’m interested in boarding dogs and birds. I owned a Senegal and African Gray for over 20 years (experienced in medicine administration for bird who had seizures). I’m also a very loving dog mom - I have owned Dobermans and have 2 rescues now who are 8. As someone who formerly had a career requiring lots of travel, I know how important it is to have confidence in the care your pet has. If you bird or have day care with me, your pet will be treated like my own with lots of cuddles and attention. I’m out of work at the moment and ready to love your pet 24-7. I have calm energy and a watchful eye. I’m also athletic so ready to go on walks! I live on a Lagoon that is fenced in and near many safe dog parks and walking trails. For birds - I miss my birds and have tons of love to give.
Downtown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Andres watched our dog for four hours on Thanksgiving and we appreciated that he kept our dog in a separate area from other dogs since we adopted her and she can get aggressive with other dogs. Andre’s was able to be flexible when plans changed. We recommend this doggy day care highly!

We needed a somewhat last minute sitter for our pup, Iggy, and Hediyeh was very easy to book with! I can tell she was very sweet Iggy, and Iggy got comfortable really fast. I received pictures of Iggy throughout the day which I loved. Thank you Hediyeh!! Will definitely book again.

Michael provided a safe and fun environment for Oakley. He was so kind to accept my last minute booking, and provided ease of mind while I was at UCSF for clinical practice. Oakley had so much fun in the sun with all the other small dogs, he didn't want to leave!

My senior dog has some mobility issues, so I was relieved to find that Diana and Michael are experienced with older dogs. They treated her with such kindness and care, and I could truly feel how much this family cares for animals! I’d be happy to have my dog stay with them again! TYSM!

We had a really great experience with Christine. She stepped in and helped us with a last minute request. She asked us good questions about our dog and was very responsive during his whole stay. She took great photos, and I could tell our dog was treated like royalty. Would definitely recommend Christine if you are looking for a sitter, and would definitely love to book her again in the future.

I’m very grateful to have found Olivia especially so last minute. Olivia and her family were so caring, kind, gracious and comforting for the five hours that we left our little Yorkie. Olivia sent me several pictures which I hadn’t even had time to look at until we were on the way to pick him up. I feel very comfortable using Olivia & recommending her for future visits.

I am a returning client and Geraldine has maintained a high standard of day care. I have a Frenchie and they need their tushy attended when they poo. Geraldine makes sure of this and Olivia always comes home clean and happy. I don’t worry at all when Olivia is with Geraldine!
