Lexi came to our home recently and was still adjusting to the new environment, so we were very nervous how she would react when we were not home. Spencer dropped by our place twice a day to ensure Lexi's daily needs were taken care of. I had a very detailed care sheet for Spencer and he followed the instructions perfectly. We received daily updates and numerous pictures from Spencer so we got the peace of mind that Lexi was well taken care of. About: We’re dog lovers (currently without our own furball) and would love to care for yours. Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. We’ll schedule a meet & greet ahead of time to make sure that you’ll both feel comfortable with us while apart and that your dog is a good match for us. Our home is 2 stories (wood floors downstairs, carpeted stairs & upstairs) with a front yard and small back patio area. We're in a safe neighborhood where we'll take daily walks.

Our guy is a little shy around other dogs so they were extra patient and caring to ensure he was okay and even allowed us to meet before our daycare so the dogs can get exposure. We also have a special diet and due to a recent illness and they were able to continue with our feeding instructions (even letting us know how much he consumed in the meal). Growing up, I had a Pekingese who was part of our family for 16 wonderful years, she was my best friend, and I was involved in her care every single day, from walks and feeding to just spending time together. About: Taking care of dogs started for me with my wonderful and energetic Airedale in my teens and twenties, and continues as a dedicated uncle to my sister’s 4 dogs (yes 4!). I am the guy my friends consistently ask to pet sit when they leave town. I also take pride in leaving your house as nice as when arrived. For long stays or short, I’m happy to help. I am currently working part time nearby and I am not planning holiday travel, so I’ll have plenty of time for quality visits with your dogs! Your pets and your home environment are important to you. I will exercise the utmost care with both and make sure you feel comfortable entrusting me with either or both.

It was really nice having her stay with another golden (Milo). Milo is extremely polite and well-behaved and acts as a great companion. Andy asked permission before feeding Cleo any fruits or veggies, too. We could tell he really loves dogs and you can have total peace of mind when your dog is in his care. Highly recommended.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life, including birds, rodents, cats, and dogs of all ages. I understand that every pet has unique needs and personality traits, and I strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while you’re away. My friends often joke that I love animals more than people. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive care, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. My primary focus is drop-in visits and house sitting, as many pets are happiest when they can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I follow each pet’s schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of attention and updates while you’re away. I also offer boarding for pets who do well away from home, providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment where they’ll be treated like family.
