Michelle did drop in visits for my two cats. They enjoyed having her and she did a good job interacting with them when they wanted it and giving them space if they weren't up for it. She was communicative and capable. I'm planning to book her again for me next trip!

Dena took care of my dogs during our 5-hour vow renewal ceremony and photoshoot, which involved going to three different locations — and she was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly reliable and kept in great communication the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dogs loved her right away, and it was clear she genuinely cared about them. Dena even went above and beyond to help out throughout the day. I don’t trust my dogs with just anyone, but I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and professional dog sitter. She’s the best! 🐾

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life! Love being around dogs, whether it be playing and running or just chilling on the couch. Recently moved to a place where I can’t have pets, so caring for other people’s fur babies is the next best thing! I work a full time desk job, so I have plenty of energy to play, run around, and be active with dogs throughout the day. They give me an excuse to get away from my desk! Years and years of caring for dogs has given me the experience of identifying the comfort level of animals. I am honest and trustworty. I want to keep my regulars and want them to trust that I will care for their precious animals.

About: I’ve grown up with all kinds of pets from rats to cats to spiders and one rehabbed squirrel. I am a huge animal lover and I’m the top choice when my friends ever need a pet sitter because I’m so in love with their pets and love to go above and beyond when taking care of them. That means you absolutely don’t need to worry about them getting enough attention and love because they will get LOADS I hav experience taking care of senior pets and special needs pets and I do my best to really establish a trusting relationship so they know when I’m around everything is going to be ok. It would be my pleasure to meet more lovely pet parents and help them out whenever they need! I hav a very chill job as a personal assistant so I have lots of availability. And my hobby is reading and writing so you get a very very chill person in your space that you can count on to be respectful and drama free I can offer a variety of pet care, I can do overnights or several hours and I can also do just a quick drop in if that’s all you need. I don’t have a car so unfortunately unless a uber is covered I can’t take them to the vet or things like that but I’m happy to spend my day at a nearby park or just read a nice book with them in your lovely home. Whatever works for you and of course you can just let me know whatever it is you need, it would be my pleasure to accommodate 🥰

About: Hi, I'm Ko! I have a deep love for animals that goes back as far as I can remember. I've spent 10+ years caring for dogs and building a genuine understanding of what animals need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I believe a pet's emotional and mental wellbeing matters just as much as the physical basics. My goal is always for your pet to feel understood and at ease, whether that's a dog who needs a long run or a cat who just needs a calm, respectful presence in their space. Your pet is family. I make sure to treat them that way. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to adapt to whatever routine works best for your pet. With structured routines, frequent updates, and fun weekend adventures, your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities. I work remotely part-time, so I have ample time to exercise, feed, and love on your pet! I have no problem with pets that may need more attention and keeping my time outside of the home brief (1-3 hrs.) When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their world as familiar and comfortable as possible. One of the primary ways I ensure your animals feel safe is by closely adhering to their routines so I follow feeding, medication, and exercise schedules closely and treat any deviations as the exception, not the norm. Before settling in, I do a quiet walkthrough to check for anything that could pose a risk—unsecured doors, open windows, potential hazards—so your pet's environment is as safe as it is comfortable. From there, I let the pet lead. Some warm up quickly, some take time, and I'm equally comfortable with both. Throughout every visit, I keep you in the loop with regular updates and photos. You should never have to wonder how your pet is doing.

About: Hello! I’ve been walking and sitting animals for more than a decade, and love making new furry friends. I’ve cared for puppies and older dogs, high-energy and anxious animals. I have a wily, wonderful pug-mix at home who loves a chance to socialize, too. I currently work from home, for myself, so I have room to take on clients in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Weekends and weekdays both work! I approach all new animals with sensitivity and respect for their space and needs. I love getting to know a dog and learning their personality traits, favorite routes, and funny quirks. This helps me get to know what they need, when.

About: I've loved dogs even before my family got our first dog. Taking on extra responsibilities for our first dog was so exciting, and now it's all I want to do. Knowing how much I love dogs, all sorts of friends and family members have come to me for help. I just graduated from college and have moved back home to San Francisco. I am very excited to be back and get to know some dogs in the area! I would care for your dogs by paying attention to whatever needs they may have. I'd walk them, feed them, and take them outside, and I would be able to crate them if needed.

Rongeong was great. She played with the cats, sent tons of cute videos/pics and meeting her was very reassuring, as she repeated everything I explained to her about watching them and she kneeled down to meet my cats and let them come to her, which is exactly how our cats warm up to people. We would use her to cat sit again!

I currently offer dog boarding, dog walking, and cat sitting in the Glen Park, Diamond Heights and Bernal Heights areas. I have space available for boarding on weekends or for longer stays—up to 2 weeks. All of my references are reliable and available upon request. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Most of my workday is spent in the Glen Park area, so I’m usually either at home, in the park, or at the studio. Depending on your dog’s temperament, they’ll either be active with me throughout the day or relaxing comfortably at the studio while I train clients. Occasionally, Your dog will never be left alone for long. I follow whatever bedding or crate setup your dog is used to and stick to their regular feeding schedule. I’ll work closely with you to accommodate your dog’s specific needs and temperament, including any routines around exercise, socialization, cleaning, or administering medication. I live in a secure space with an enclosed patio, directly across the street from Glen Canyon Park—an ideal spot for an active, dog-friendly lifestyle. About: I am a very active person. I take my own German Shepherd and Labrador out for long adventure walks and finding new hiking places around the city. I live in an apartment with no yard so I have to make sure my pups have enough play time and mental stimulation. I am willing to run with dogs, play with them, take them to the park as well as just having quiet relaxing walks. I am good with any breed of dog and any size and am also good with cats, too. I own two cats myself and she is very playful. I am capable of continuing your pets education by enforcing the basic commands such as sit, down, off and come. I can also use commands and train pets by the owner’s preferences. I currently work at Sunset Veterinary Hospital part time so I am available most days or even on my lunch while in the area to watch and walk your pups and kitties! I am not able to do any boarding because of my buildings regulations but I can spend time with your pets in your own home for most of the day. I will do any pet chores necessary and can make sure the pets eat and play. I can accommodate for any requests. I want to make sure the pets are happy and healthy throughout the entire day with me. If there are any pet chores needed like leaving food and water and I can follow any feeding instructions. I love to train dogs and give them the required amount of mental stimulation as well as playtime. I don’t mind playing any games with your pups with or without toys. I can take the pups to different parks and fields as well as beaches.

About: Hi! I’m Sully, a Mission local and your pet’s new Cool Auntie. I’ll be the one to makes sure your fur baby feels safe, loved, and a little spoiled. 😌🐾 I’m not a pop in and leave sitter. I’m going to be the auntie who learns your pet’s vibe and make each visit feel more familiar and comforting. I’m also a proud cat mom to three big personalities (bratty tortie, black cat chaos, and a bipolar Siamese rescue), so I’m patient, confident, and pretty good at winning over even the toughest little divas. I’ve been pet sitting since my early 20s, starting with my family’s pets and friends’ pets (their friends as well), and over the years I’ve built real relationships with so many of them. I’m now the go-to sitter they call when they travel, which means I regularly get to see my extended fur nieces and nephews 🥰 and keep their routines consistent while their parents are away. During drop-ins, I’ll follow your routine closely. Fresh food & water, potty breaks, litter box care, playtime, and photo updates so you can actually relax. I’m looking for long-term fur friendships even if it’s just a regular monthly visit or being your go-to auntie sitter when travel pops up. P.S. These photos are a little candid, not so perfect pictures 😂 I never expected I’d be uploading them someday! But they’re some of my happy fur nieces and nephews I’ve grown close with over the years, from quick potty breaks and treat runs to vet visits and everything in between. I am a full-time case manager for a local nonprofit, Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. So I’m your go-to for evening and weekend care! I’m available for drop-ins: • Weeknights: 6:30 PM–11:00 PM • Weekends: 7:00 AM–11:00 PM As your pet’s “cool auntie,” I’ll always respect your home and your routine. I follow a shoes-off rule (like I do at home), keep things tidy, and I’ll stick to your instructions for food, potty breaks, litter box care, playtime, and medications (limited). If you’re comfortable with it, I also love bringing a small “peace offering” for the first visit like a toy or an approved treat to help build trust and make our first meet feel positive. If your pet has allergies or a preferred snack, just let me know. My goal is for your pet to recognize my footsteps like, “oh! my auntie’s here.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life, cats too! Many of my fond memories growing up as a child and as an adult involve animals making a positive impact on my life. Living with an animal like a dog or a cat is an important facet of life, they give us an immense amount of meaning and purpose. I have taken care of many family and friends pets, this is my first time doing so in a more professional manner. I can guarantee your pets will love me, and receive the greatest care and attention! I currently help my roommates take care of their cats by feeding or cleaning up after them. The pet care is very straightforward and I would like something more challenging I like to make sure I listen to the owner's description of their pet's personality, needs and wants. It will be my goal to never put an animal in any kind of stressful situation. If the dog enjoys long walks or very involved play time I am all about it. At a client's home I will always understand I am there for their pet and nothing more, this is their personal space and will keep it in the best possible shape, clean up after the pets when feeding or after any accidents if any are to occur. Every animal has a different temperament and I know to introduce myself slowly and at their pace.

Sami is da best! We’ve worked with a handful of sitters on Rover and she feels like a rare find. She’s very communicative about cat goings on and goes above and beyond to keep the house tidy (even with our cats actively working against her). We love her and so do the cats, even the one that hides from her 😸

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vista Del Monte. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
