About: Growing up my family always had both dogs and cats. I enjoy the fun that every a dog can bring like playing fetch in the park for hours or going on a long walk. My dream when I have more space is to have either a golden retriever or Burmese mountain dog. Or maybe both! Being the sole care taker for my cats first thing in the morning is food / water and play time and repeat in the evening. I enjoy the quiet time sitting on the couch and the cats are right there with me. It’s a relaxing part of my day. I will follow your care instructions and see to it that your pets are properly cared for while you are away. Their well being is my number one priority.
“Sahar helped coordinate a pick up from my friends place to day care when I was out of town. Feedback from my friend after the pick up “She was so nice. Star her for future needs. She said “let me know if you guys need anything else, happy to help” !! Will def use again! Thank you Sahar!”

About: I've loved dogs even before my family got our first dog. Taking on extra responsibilities for our first dog was so exciting, and now it's all I want to do. Knowing how much I love dogs, all sorts of friends and family members have come to me for help. I just graduated from college and have moved back home to San Francisco. I am very excited to be back and get to know some dogs in the area! I would care for your dogs by paying attention to whatever needs they may have. I'd walk them, feed them, and take them outside, and I would be able to crate them if needed.
About: My name is Megan and I currently live in San Francisco, CA. I would love to provide care for your dog. I am an experienced previous dog owner and experienced pet sitter. I am able to board, feed, walk, and any other necessary care. I am also open to taking care of any other pets you have (cats, fish, rabbits and bearded dragons are some of the pets that I have experience with caring for). Please feel free to contact me here or at the phone number provided if you are interested. Thank you! I teach at a school that is three blocks from my house from 9am-4:30pm, so I can come home for lunch break walks if needed. I can walk dogs before and after school and let the dog into my backyard garden at any time. On the weekends, I can take dogs to the beach or on other fun outdoor adventures! I have taken care of people’s’ pets in a number of ways. I have stopped by people’s’ houses for care, boarded pets, and stayed overnight in pets’ homes.
“Michelle went way beyond the call of duty. She was wonderful with my dog and cat. I have used Michelle before when I was out of town, and I will certainly use her again. I highly recommend her. Thank you, Michelle!”

About: Hi, I'm Ko! I have a deep love for animals that goes back as far as I can remember. I've spent 10+ years caring for dogs and building a genuine understanding of what animals need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I believe a pet's emotional and mental wellbeing matters just as much as the physical basics. My goal is always for your pet to feel understood and at ease, whether that's a dog who needs a long run or a cat who just needs a calm, respectful presence in their space. Your pet is family. I make sure to treat them that way. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to adapt to whatever routine works best for your pet. With structured routines, frequent updates, and fun weekend adventures, your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities. I work remotely part-time, so I have ample time to exercise, feed, and love on your pet! I have no problem with pets that may need more attention and keeping my time outside of the home brief (1-3 hrs.) When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their world as familiar and comfortable as possible. One of the primary ways I ensure your animals feel safe is by closely adhering to their routines so I follow feeding, medication, and exercise schedules closely and treat any deviations as the exception, not the norm. Before settling in, I do a quiet walkthrough to check for anything that could pose a risk—unsecured doors, open windows, potential hazards—so your pet's environment is as safe as it is comfortable. From there, I let the pet lead. Some warm up quickly, some take time, and I'm equally comfortable with both. Throughout every visit, I keep you in the loop with regular updates and photos. You should never have to wonder how your pet is doing.
About: As a travelling freelance journalist, I appreciate not knowing where my next assignment will take me. Much of my work can be done by remote. I appreciate house sitting as an opportunity to have a peaceful place to find inspiration and do some writing wherever in the world I find myself. Animals make a house feel more warm and homelike. As a travelling freelance journalist, I appreciate house sitting as an opportunity to have a peaceful place to find inspiration and do some writing wherever in the world I find myself. Animals make a house feel more warm and homelike. As my long history of pet sitting demonstrates, I treat my clients' pets and homes with love and respect as if they were my own.
“Dena took care of my dogs during our 5-hour vow renewal ceremony and photoshoot, which involved going to three different locations — and she was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly reliable and kept in great communication the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dogs loved her right away, and it was clear she genuinely cared about them. Dena even went above and beyond to help out throughout the day. I don’t trust my dogs with just anyone, but I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and professional dog sitter. She’s the best! 🐾”

“Natalie was a great cat sitter. She was very communicative and so helpful and accommodating while I was traveling. She was positive and proactive with making recommendations on how to care for my cat who is very stressed around strangers—and was a total jerk to Natalie. She handled it incredibly well.”

“Carmen took such great care of our cats while we were away! Her communication and care were excellent, and our vacation was so much more enjoyable being able to relax knowing are kitties were so well cared for.”

About: Hi! I’m Sully, a Mission local and your pet’s new Cool Auntie. I’ll be the one to makes sure your fur baby feels safe, loved, and a little spoiled. 😌🐾 I’m not a pop in and leave sitter. I’m going to be the auntie who learns your pet’s vibe and make each visit feel more familiar and comforting. I’m also a proud cat mom to three big personalities (bratty tortie, black cat chaos, and a bipolar Siamese rescue), so I’m patient, confident, and pretty good at winning over even the toughest little divas. I’ve been pet sitting since my early 20s, starting with my family’s pets and friends’ pets (their friends as well), and over the years I’ve built real relationships with so many of them. I’m now the go-to sitter they call when they travel, which means I regularly get to see my extended fur nieces and nephews 🥰 and keep their routines consistent while their parents are away. During drop-ins, I’ll follow your routine closely. Fresh food & water, potty breaks, litter box care, playtime, and photo updates so you can actually relax. I’m looking for long-term fur friendships even if it’s just a regular monthly visit or being your go-to auntie sitter when travel pops up. I am a full-time case manager for a local nonprofit, Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. So I’m your go-to for evening and weekend care! I’m available for drop-ins: • Weeknights: 6:30 PM–11:00 PM • Weekends: 7:00 AM–11:00 PM As your pet’s “cool auntie,” I’ll always respect your home and your routine. I follow a shoes-off rule (like I do at home), keep things tidy, and I’ll stick to your instructions for food, potty breaks, litter box care, playtime, and medications (limited). If you’re comfortable with it, I also love bringing a small “peace offering” for the first visit like a toy or an approved treat to help build trust and make our first meet feel positive. If your pet has allergies or a preferred snack, just let me know. My goal is for your pet to recognize my footsteps like, “oh! my auntie’s here.”
“Laxmi is amazing! She’s super professional, communicative, and was a lifesaver in a stressful last minute situation. She did a great job checking in on my cat. Thanks Laxmi!”

About: I am a very active person. I take my own German Shepherd and Labrador out for long adventure walks and finding new hiking places around the city. I live in an apartment with no yard so I have to make sure my pups have enough play time and mental stimulation. I am willing to run with dogs, play with them, take them to the park as well as just having quiet relaxing walks. I am good with any breed of dog and any size and am also good with cats, too. I own two cats myself and she is very playful. I am capable of continuing your pets education by enforcing the basic commands such as sit, down, off and come. I can also use commands and train pets by the owner’s preferences. I currently work at Sunset Veterinary Hospital part time so I am available most days or even on my lunch while in the area to watch and walk your pups and kitties! I am not able to do any boarding because of my buildings regulations but I can spend time with your pets in your own home for most of the day. I will do any pet chores necessary and can make sure the pets eat and play. I can accommodate for any requests. I want to make sure the pets are happy and healthy throughout the entire day with me. If there are any pet chores needed like leaving food and water and I can follow any feeding instructions. I love to train dogs and give them the required amount of mental stimulation as well as playtime. I don’t mind playing any games with your pups with or without toys. I can take the pups to different parks and fields as well as beaches.

I trained our family service dog (recently passed) on my own and got her professionally certified. I am home everyday as a homeschooling mom. Your pet is a part of the family while they are here. My kids and I are a chill group, Dogs are a natural fit. I have a small deck in the back, my kids and I go on walks constantly, the dogs are welcome on the beds and on the couches. My home is their home.
About: I’ve grown up with all kinds of pets from rats to cats to spiders and one rehabbed squirrel. I am a huge animal lover and I’m the top choice when my friends ever need a pet sitter because I’m so in love with their pets and love to go above and beyond when taking care of them. That means you absolutely don’t need to worry about them getting enough attention and love because they will get LOADS I hav experience taking care of senior pets and special needs pets and I do my best to really establish a trusting relationship so they know when I’m around everything is going to be ok. It would be my pleasure to meet more lovely pet parents and help them out whenever they need! I hav a very chill job as a personal assistant so I have lots of availability. And my hobby is reading and writing so you get a very very chill person in your space that you can count on to be respectful and drama free I can offer a variety of pet care, I can do overnights or several hours and I can also do just a quick drop in if that’s all you need. I don’t have a car so unfortunately unless a uber is covered I can’t take them to the vet or things like that but I’m happy to spend my day at a nearby park or just read a nice book with them in your lovely home. Whatever works for you and of course you can just let me know whatever it is you need, it would be my pleasure to accommodate 🥰
“Thomas was AMAZING! We needed someone on short notice after our primary cat sitter had a conflict with a few dates during our vacation. Thomas was responsive, prompt at showing up for a meet and greet, and immediately connected with our kitty, Sherman, taking detailed notes. During the stay, Thomas gave our kitty the attention he deserved. Not only that, he sent us lots of pictures and gave us detailed updates. It was awesome not having to worry about our kitty while thousands of miles away. We look forward to booking Thomas in the future!”

Eunice was a wonderful cat sitter, and both of my cats absolutely loved her. She was so kind and even brought treats during her visits. She genuinely cares about animals, kept me updated with great communication, and gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Kayla did an exceptional job as always taking care of my babies while I was away for a work camping trip. She adapted to a new diet for one of my cats due to recent health issues and followed directions well. I’ve been a loyal client since last year and plan to continue having her take care of my babies while I’m away. She’s a great pet sitter and will take care of your pets as if they are her own. Thank you Kayla for taking care of my babies with love and always sending hugs photos and updates through the Rover card.

Anita was fantastic! She took great care of our two cats for two weeks, and they were happy and well cared for when we returned. Anita communicated very well throughout our trip, kept us updated regularly, and followed all of our instructions carefully. We truly appreciated her care, and we would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
