“Charles was great! Followed my instructions and took great care of my kitty. He was very communicative and quick to respond to my questions/messages. Would happily hire him again!”

“Genna is great, takes care of my cats when I go on vacation and does a wonderful job. On time, thoughtful, went out of her way to clean up after the cats tried to play a card game :)”

“Yue Yue (Sammy) was very flexible in accommodating my last minute request to drop in for my car for 4th of July weekend! She followed all instructions and updated the care cards with lots of details. Looking forward to having her watch my cat again next time!”

“Olesia is the best! Our puppy was so happy to play and go on walks with her while we were out of town. She always showed up right on time and is an excellent communicator. Thank you, Olesia!”

“I am extremely happy with Sean! My cats were clearly comfortable and happy while we were away, which means everything to me. Sean sent regular updates, and the photos he shared were truly works of art. I honestly looked forward to every message. When we came back, the apartment was spotless, which was such a pleasant surprise, especially knowing that my cats usually leave quite a mess. It gave me so much peace of mind to know they were so well cared for. I would absolutely trust Sean again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter. 🐾✨”

“Joslyn was amazing with my cats. She was very professional and ensured to take care of my house and also ensuring the cats had everything they needed. My fearful cat only took one day to settle in and come out for pets from Joslyn. Will definitely work with her again when next I need a sitter.”

“Sabrina was fantastic! Easy to work with and find a suitable schedule. I went on a two week vacation with late notice, and I really couldn't have done it without Sabrina. She was always on time and always sent pictures and video clips of the cats. My Sophie really liked her, and I couldn't be happier how it all turned out. Thank you so much, Sabrina!”

“David is great! He was incredibly quick to respond to the initial booking request, which made it easy to a relatively last-minute scheduling. He took great care of my cats, managing somewhat complex feeding process with medication. All visits were made on-time, and his updates were detailed, checking in on possible concerns we had discussed, and included lots of pictures that made it clear the cats were thrilled to have his attention and company. Cannot recommend him highly enough!”

“Maria did such an amazing job taking care of my cat while I was away. She was super communicative and gave great updates and pictures, and gave my cat lots of pets and love--when we came home our cat was happy and in a great mood thanks to Maria's amazing care. Thank you again Maria!”

“I returned home to two very content and happy cats which was a huge relief after a long trip away from home. I really appreciate the attention Tamiya gives to each of them and the awesome action shots of them playing! Thanks for being such a caring pet sitter!”

“Donna was wonderful with our cat, she took the time to get to know him by comming a couple of days before. She was very communicative and sent us beautiful pics of she playing with him. Don't hesitate booking Donna, she is great.”

“Nicole really went above and beyond caring for our 3 (very needy and attention hungry!) cats. She was easy to communicate with and reliable, but what we appreciated the most was that she spent extra time beyond the minimum required by Rover hanging out with them. She sent plenty of updates with photos and videos letting us know they were in good hands, and even administered oral medication to one of our cats. We will definitely be reaching out to Nicole for future cat sitting as well as recommending her to anyone who needs care for their pets!”

About: I have had, and cared for, both cats and dogs of all sizes throughout my life. Having worked in a pet boarding resort, house-sat for several friends, and cared for my own pets, I am extremely reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure your pet is safe, loved, and cared for. I am currently working remotely, part-time, and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me ample time to care for and love on your babies! I give your pet(s) my full attention and ensure that all their needs are being met. I capture moments of them throughout my stay, and share them with you, so that you feel comfortable that your pet is safe and cared for!
“Mike did a fantastic job carrying for my cat! Really appreciate him coming through when my last sitter canceled on me last minute. Was really attentive and carrying and my cat loved him. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

About: You know how you have that one friend who loses their train of thought when they see a cute pup down the street? That’s me. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t want to pet! Though, to be fair, I have an affinity for all animals. Having grown up with Rottweilers, I have a soft spot for “scary” breeds (that we know are actually the biggest lovers) and have the most experience with reactive dogs, including walking and socialization. Our own pup, Miso, also gave me an honorary dog nurse degree. He had a chronic disorder that required strictly timed medications and meals, so if your pup needs extra attention in that regard, I have ten years of experience making sure pets are feeling good! Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy this past December, so Rover doggos help fill the big hole left in my heart. I hope I get to meet your pup(s) soon! I promise, we will have a blast together 🐶 I run a company where I make my own schedule and work from home 80% of the time. I also live couple blocks off Golden Gate Park and would love to explore the trails with your pup! I have a spacious apartment, a few blocks off the park. Whereas I don’t have a yard, the limit does not exist for the number of walks your pup may get at Golden Gate! There are no other animals or children at the apartment; however, there is a carpeted flight of stairs to get inside.

About: I grew up with a cute miniature schnauzer and later owned two lovable Labrador Retrievers. I've also fostered puppies, typically around 3-4 months old, for two-week periods at a time! I don't have any pets living with me right now, but I love spending time with animals whenever I can. I'd love to help take care of your furry friends. Since I work remotely most of the week, I have a lot of flexibility to walk or play with your dogs. I'm available every day of the week. I have a spacious apartment in Brooklyn that comes with a rooftop where your puppy can run around to its heart's content. What's more, I'm conveniently located near two parks - Domino and McCarran - which make for some great long walks.

Maide did a fantastic job taking care of our cat Kiwi. She brought enthusiasm and thoughtfulness in caring for her. When we came back, the food and litter box areas were very clean. And Maide left great, detailed updates with lots of good pictures that were always a highlight to look at. We look forward to booking Maide again!
This was our first booking with seba and kaki and they did not disappoint! Our cat, Stella, is very shy at first and made friends in no time. We also loved all the sweet pictures and videos they sent! Made us being apart all the bit easier :) highly highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Xinyuan! She took exceptional care of Nema while we were away, really taking the time to bond with her. We loved receiving the clear updates, photos, and videos she sent throughout the trip—it gave us total peace of mind. We will absolutely be using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter!

Highly recommend Natalie for kitty-sitting. She is thorough, attentive, and somehow won over my ultra-shy kitty! I received updates and tons of pictures of Natalie cleaning litter, refilling food and water, and playing with the kitties. She also went above and beyond to accommodate a key handoff while I was out of town. Thank you Natalie!!

Cameron has done drop in visits for my 2 cats twice now and it’s been very good. My cats both like her which is not always the case for them. She gives updates and always accommodates any requests I have. She has also brought in packages for me and cleans around the litter box and food bowls which is nice. I’d definitely recommend Cameron and book again

David has watched our cats couple of times now - most recently this past Friday, July 10th—and we cannot recommend him highly enough. He takes incredible care of our cats, ensuring they are happy, comfortable, and well-attended to every single visit. Beyond being a fantastic pet sitter, David is exceptionally observant and proactive with home care. During a previous visit, he noticed a few fruit flies starting to appear in the kitchen and, on his own initiative, set up an apple cider vinegar trap. Because of his quick thinking, the issue was caught early and completely managed by the time we got home. It is rare to find a sitter who is equally dedicated to the well-being of your pets and the maintenance of your home. We always return to very happy cats and a perfectly kept house. If you are looking for someone responsible, proactive, and genuinely caring, hire David!
Samantha was wonderful with my two cats while I was on vacation. She was reliable, caring, and attentive, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She made sure they were fed, comfortable, and well looked after, and I came home to happy cats. I’d absolutely recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful cat sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Francisco. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
