It was not an easy job because Flora has experienced extreme trauma and she is an elderly cat. Where others would have given up, Joslyn was patient and not intimidated by Flora’s stressed demeanor. She took her time and slowly took the necessary steps to ensure she received the care she needed. I appreciated the videos and photos she took during each visit. She even brought in our mail and packages while we were away. I highly recommend her and plan on connecting with her in the future if I need cat sitting.”

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats throughout my life. Recently, I started taking care of some of my friend’s pets and have gained valuable experience through them. I have taken care of cats of all sizes and energy levels, and have taken care of small-medium dogs. I’m currently working a full-time job from 7-4, but can swing before or after work, and during lunch time for an hour to take care of your pet! I am free weeknights after work, as well as on weekends. I can do drop-in care every 4 hours on weekdays, can stay overnight if needed, and/or can stay all day on the weekends. I do not have pets of my own, and live in a studio apartment so if your pet will be at my home, you will not need to worry about another pet being there. I have some plants that can be put away in a safe place if needed. If I will be staying at your home or doing drop-in care, I will make sure to treat it with respect and leave it how it was when I arrived.

About: As a calm and dependable caregiver, I’ve successfully helped two Chihuahuas and an Australian Blue Heeler peacefully coexist in one home. If I can manage that dynamic with patience, care, and consistency, your pet will be in great hands. I currently work from home while running my own cosmetics company, which gives me a highly flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive, reliable, and consistent care for your pets throughout the day to late evenings. I believe pets thrive when they’re given both attention and healthy outlets for their energy. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks, park visits, and play sessions tailored to their comfort level and their owner’s preferences. If appropriate and approved, I’m comfortable supervising off leash time in safe fenced areas or open parks with well behaved pets. For cats, I make sure they receive patience, affection, and interactive play time so they stay stimulated, relaxed, and comfortable while their owner is away. About: One of the biggest stressors for your pets is being dropped off and left in unfamiliar settings. You travel, I will care for your fur babies at their house. Stress lowered for all. My life is dedicated to animal care and enrichment. I work with everything from tigers, lions, chimpanzees, senior dogs to 1 day old kittens. My animal care training consists of medical applications, animal safety, animal emergency, overall health and diet. I understand that our pet are like our children, our family and treat all animals with respect and kindness, but firm enough to be in charge of chaotic situations (dog parks). Volunteering at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in their vet clinic taught me important tips on”reading” animals behavior and to be in tune with the animals overall health, both physical and mental. A large component of working with animals is communication with their owners. I am friendly with strong communications skills so you’ll have complete confidence in me watching after your "kids." I just moved back to San Francisco from San Diego where I was a zoo keeper at the Safari Park. Now back in S.F. my schedule is wide open to care for your pets. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. Safety is always first during all of my visits with your furry kids.
