I love dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, which makes the questions “what is your favorite kind of dog?” and “are you a dog person or a cat person?” impossible to answer. My own camera roll is filled with photos of my dog & cat, so you will get as many real-time updates as you’d like. I know how hard it can be to trust your pet with someone else, and I will go above and beyond to ensure both you and your pet are comfortable and confident in the time spent apart. I have experience walking dogs anywhere from Pitties to Pomeranians, and feel confident walking anything between! If given enough notice, I will do a meet and greet in advance to get to know your dog/cat, get familiar with any quirks, your preferences and ways to safely enter/exit your home. Available for drop ins and walks. REACTIVE DOGS: I have personal experience with reactive, fearful and anxious dogs- so I know first hand how difficult it can be to trust someone else to walk your pup with the vigilance & attention required to ensure the walk is a safe, happy and productive experience. I am passionate about using tools like positive reinforcement, redirection, purposeful distancing, exposure management and consistency - it is the handlers job to ensure that your pup feels secure and confident while walking. Respecting you and your dogs boundaries is of the utmost importance to me. Before the first solo walk, a meeting where I walk with you so I can meet your pup and maintain consistency with your methods is required. CATS: Some people write off cats as just needing some food, water and a fresh litter box- but us cat people know that’s all wrong! When I cat sit, I make sure to spend time engaging with your cat however they prefer, whether that’s playing hide and seek (my cats personal favorite), tossing some toys, a lap-loaf session, or anything inbetween! I’m also very vigilant about door darters, so need to worry there- my cat has trained me well.
