About: I was raised in a rural area surrounded by all kinds of animals, and we always had dogs and cats growing up. I have had the pleasure of dog and cat sitting numerous times over the years. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and enjoy spending time with them. I'm new to the Bay Area and looking to devote my time to your pet's schedule. About: Hi there! I'm Karly, a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I spent about four years as a dedicated dog walker in Southern California, building a loyal community of pups (and their humans) who kept coming back because they knew their babies were genuinely loved and well looked after. These days I'm based in Oakland, and I'm so excited to bring that same energy to your dog. Over the years I've lived with dogs of all shapes, personalities, and breeds from big goofy pitbulls to spirited blue heelers, so I'm comfortable with the whole spectrum. I'm also experienced with oral medications and the extra patience and care that special-needs or picky pets require. Your dog's routine matters to me, and I'll always do my best to honor it. It's honestly one of my favorite things to witness. At home I share my space with my sweet one-eyed black cat Lady, so I'm used to a house that revolves around an animal's needs. I currently work part time in the nightlife industry, which means my days are largely free and my schedule is wonderfully flexible. The other half of my time is already dedicated to pet sitting, so caring for animals is quite literally built into my weekly rhythm. Because I'm not locked into a traditional 9-to-5, I have real availability during the hours that matter most: mornings, afternoons, and daytime check-ins when most pet parents are at work. I'm rarely in a rush, and I think animals can feel that. If something comes up last minute or you need a little extra flexibility, I'm almost always able to make it work. When I'm caring for your dog/cat in your home, my number one priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and like their normal routine hasn't been disrupted. I follow your feeding schedule and system exactly, and always make sure fresh water is available throughout the day. Beyond the basics, I make sure your pup is getting plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while you're away. Whether that's belly rubs on the couch, a good play session, or just calm company for a dog who doesn't love being alone. You'll never have to wonder if your dog is just sitting in a corner somewhere. They're loved on.

Walks include positive reinforcement, sniff time, and plenty of attention. For drop-in visits, I make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for by providing fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of affection. I respect your home, follow all instructions carefully, and always leave things tidy. I provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. About: My pet care experience includes looking after cats, dogs, fish, and hamsters. I'm happy to maintain litter boxes, take dogs on long walks and play fetch, spend time with cats, administer pills and medications to any animal (even if they are not excited about it), and provide pets and scritches whenever needed I'm currently working 8-4:30 with open availability every early morning, evening, and weekend from now until June 6! During the summers, my availability will be completely open! I am experienced caring for pets in other people's homes, but unfortunately not in my own because I have two rescued cats of my own.
