About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

I also have experience working with dogs that have high prey drives and a lot of energy. I live in Rockridge and am currently unemployed, so I am a free agent to walk or care for dogs/cats any time throughout the day. I’m not currently able to host pets in my own home, but I’m more than happy to care for them in your home. Just let me know what you need! I have a flexible work-from-home schedule that can easily adapt to your and your pet’s needs. I can take your pet out for potty breaks as often as hourly during the day if necessary, and I can accommodate other needs such as frequent feeding, administering oral medication, and grooming! I live in a secure apartment complex, which would be suitable for small to medium-sized dogs and cats. There are no other pets in the apartment, so it would be great for pets that prefer to be housed alone! Please let me know when booking beforehand if your pet does not get along with other animals, so I know not to house another pet during your pet's stay :) Please provide food, leash, bed/crate, brush, litter, litter box/wee-wee pads, and anything else your pet might need if necessary/applicable. I live with my partner Sam, who also works from home, and he is a huge animal lover, having grown up with dogs and cats his entire life as well :) I can ensure that your pet will be in a safe, friendly, and loving environment during their stay, and that your pet will rarely need to be alone, as there is usually always at least one of us at home! Please note that we also have a few houseplants in our apartment that are not fatal if ingested, but in large amounts might cause discomfort for your pet. Let me know if your pet has a habit of getting into/eating/chewing plants, even if you are unsure about it! These plants can easily be moved into out-of-reach spots or completely removed for your pet's safety and comfort.
