About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.
