“Matthew was communicative, punctual, and good with our three dogs. He was able to get all three of them walking quickly, a decent distance, and going to the bathroom, which is very valuable for us! We will definitely request Matt again!”

About: I have walked dogs and pet sat cats and dogs. I also have done lot of volunteering at two shelters the SPCA and Chico animal shelter. I also have done the SPCA dog training summer camp. I normally feed my dog and also she is 14 , also she is is pretty lazy, this means you need to get her walking more than she would like. I treat my pet like they’re a human. I love using hand signals to ask for the dog wants and to talk to the dog.
About: Hi, I’m Cassandra, you can call me Cass if you like. I grew up in the farmlands of western Massachusetts, where animals were everywhere, so I’ve been surrounded by them my whole life. Most pets feel instantly comfortable with me, and I’ve even successfully tamed feral kittens for rehoming on several occasions. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even a chicken or two, and I work part-time at a dog sanctuary fostering small dogs from Mexico to loving homes in the Bay Area. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable, able to meet each pet’s unique needs—whether it’s a senior dog requiring extra care, a shy cat needing gentle reassurance, or a playful pup ready for walks and cuddles. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a creative consultant helping mission-driven individuals and nonprofits reach their goals and make maximum impact. I work mostly from home, which allows me plenty of flexibility to accommodate dog walking times, feedings, and cuddle sessions. On the days I have in-person meetings, they typically last 1–3 hours, so I can easily plan around them to ensure pets get the attention and care they need throughout the day. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes. I live in a small 500-square-foot cottage with my two cats, and my adult daughter comes home from grad school occasionally, so caring for pets in my own home isn’t feasible. Focusing on in-home care allows me to give each pet personalized attention in their familiar environment, keeping them safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their families are away
About: I‘ve rescued, fostered and placed animals from different species in homes since 11 years ago. It all started with my soul dog who made me get into dog training and ethology. More animals came into my life and continued to taught me how to properly take care for disabled and senior animals who had terminal cancer, seizures, and mobility issues. As well as different species of animals that urgently needed veterinary care and new homes like bearded dragons, turtles, rats, chickens, cows and fish. I‘m surrounded by a community of animal rescuers who have taught me a lot on how to help more animals and educate the public about their needs and challenges. It‘s very important for pet parents to leave their animals at the hands of people who understand that these pets are family members and each of them is unique and deserves to be given the best care and life possible. I‘m currently available most days of the week, and trying to get consistent pups that I can take on adventures with others at least twice a week. I‘m also available for boarding and house sitting. I train tuesdays-fridays at night for an hour. I like to do multiple walks and exercise at selected parks around berkeley and oakland. I live in a 1b-1ba apartment with a big cemented balcony in an apartment building. All my windows and balcony door have a screen. My door goes to a carpeted hallway with other apartments so there‘s no possibility of escaping accidents. I also have a 360 camera at my apartment which I use for monitoring.
About: I’ve had pets since I was young including caring for and owning small, medium, and large dogs. I appreciate the need for exercise and am happy to maintain any rules for your pet to keep consistency. I’m well versed in giving pets medicine, training puppies with voice, treats and eye contact. I currently have a 60lb dog that is strong and unreliable meeting dogs on leash so I am versed in managing larger dogs and boundaries needed in their care so they feel supported. (My dog is with me 50% time and I will only take in sitting jobs when she isn’t here). I also appreciate and care for cats though I have never owned one. I work full-time from home and a two bedroom apartment, and I’m available to board. I walk regularly and have my own dog 50% time. I will only board when I don’t have her. I can do fast walks, slow walks, and I have a car to take dogs to hikes if that is desired. I have an unfenced yard for quick potty breaks if needed, but prefer walking dogs on leash around the Elmwood neighborhood if they are staying with me. It’s good to get exercise! Also happy to walk them in your area if I’m just doing a house visit. I have a laundry room where I can close off any pet food storage if your pet is adventurous and gets into things. I like building trust and boundaries with dogs early so that they can feel secure. I also love playing with toys and keeping them in rotation whether that’s a Kong, pull toys, cat feathers or mice, etc.

“Becca is awesome! I really appreciate her flexibility in our schedule and her reliable communication! On dog walking days she always sends pictures and a report card so I know how my pup did. On the days we come home after our dog has been on a walk with Becca he is always so happy and relaxed! I would totally recommend her services!”

“Alexis was great and made themself available at short notice. Alexis was responsive, communicated effectively and was attentive to our dogs needs. Alexis made me feel at ease knowing my doggo was being cared for. I would highly recommend Alexis to anyone with animal care needs!”

I can’t wait to meet you & your furry friend 🐾 As a freelance artist, I enjoy a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, dependable pet care with plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. Your pets deserve safe, loving, and reliable care. 5 Star care- attentive, and trustworthy, I provide peace of mind while keeping your furry family happy, secure, and comfortable.
“Hollie did a great job walking Lyla and Daniel. They can be a handful (especially Lyla), and Hollie’s been kind and patient with them. Hollie’s punctual, communicative, and clear with me about what’s happening with the pups! I’m glad that she was able to spend some time with them!”

“David is an amazing dog walker. He’s incredibly attentive and patient with my nervous, shy dog, and she absolutely adores him. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with, and I feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Arianna took such good care of our fur babies while we were away for the day. While taking them on their walks, she posted nice pictures of them enjoying the sun outside and they loved the extra attentions she gave them. She was so responsive and very easy to communicate with. She even brought in some of our Amazon packages that were on our doorstep, which we greatly appreciated! We highly recommend Arianna and look forward to booking her again!”

“Simply put Alexandria is awesome! She was very prompt in replying to my initial inquiry for walks. She was prompt and very personable for “our meet and greet” to go over my pups routine. She also”

About: I had a German Shepherd growing up. I felt very close to him. I currently don’t own a dog, but I’d love to own one someday. I often get to see and spend time with my sister’s dog who I love so much, and I always look forward to seeing him. I believe that I’ll be a great dog sitter. I currently don’t have any other job, so I’ll have plenty of time to look after people’s dogs. I’ll make great use of my days caring for people’s dogs. I’ll care for people’s dogs in their homes by feeding, playing with them, and taking them out for walks. I’ll be great company for the dogs.

About: We are an active couple who love dogs and spending time with dogs. We spend a lot of time outdoors and love to go on hikes, explore parks and neighborhoods. We both work at home. We will spend time outside exploring our neighborhood or visiting the local dog park and trails. We love playing fetch, teaching and practicing new and old tricks. We have a senior border collie/cattle dog who is social and playful and respectful. We are experienced with (and have a soft spot) for senior dogs. Please introduce yourself and see if we are the right place for your pooch's home away from home. We both work full-time at home so are flexible with drop off and pick up times and will be home if your pup needs anything. We have a fenced in back-yard and a sunny balcony that is a favorite place for the dogs to lounge and watch the world go by. We both work full time at home but are available to give your dog play and pee breaks throughout the day as well as impromptu play sessions. We have a routine but we also like to know what your dog is used to. We have a fenced in yard, a sunny balcony to watch the neighborhood and free access to both. Your dog will have our company and our friendly dog's company throughout the day for impromptu snuggles, scratches, game of fetch etc.
About: I've been taking care of kitties for my entire life, and more recently, dogs! So far, I've worked with hyper dogs, an anxious dog, and a sick dog, so I'm comfortable with a variety of energies. It's always such a pleasure to be around pets, and I look forward to meeting your fur babies! I currently have a pretty open schedule besides some remote work I do twice a week. The days I have set for my availability are pretty consistently open, and other days, I can be flexible if you reach out in advance In a new space, I allow them to find a space they feel comfortable in and hang out with them for as long as they need to get adjusted. In a client’s home, I’d clarify everything with the client to make sure I’m attending to the pet’s needs appropriately
“Robin has been great at communicating quickly, getting to know my doggo, and gaining his trust! He’s a pandemic puppy so isn’t used to a dog walker. I’m so glad she’s been able to get him going as I start to go back to work.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bushrod
Kaya walked our 80lb pittie for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. We appreciated having a walker who could handle a large/strong dog, so my older in-law would not risk getting pulled. She communicated clearly with us while we were away and my in-law reported back that our dog was happy & tired after each walk. Couldn't ask for more.
V was so helpful and responsive. What started as a weekend of dog walks turned into a month of regular dog walks at various times thru the day. V was quick to respond to my inquires and Ernest really seemed to like them. I highly recommend V for big dogs like Ernest (and likely any dog smaller than 90 lbs, which I know is many!). They handled his hesitancies (and mine) well with us scheduling a meet and greet and then treating him well thru all the walks. Thanks V!

Leonard was fantastic! He stepped in to walk my dogs with literally less than a day’s notice after I was already out of town on vacation. Since I had already left, my adult daughter met him, introduced him to the dogs, and showed him where everything was. From that point on, everything went smoothly. Every day I received Rover Cards with photos, the route, distance, and time of each walk, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was my first time using Rover, and Leonard made it such a positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again, and he’ll definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to care for my dogs. Highly recommended!

Maria Elena is the wonderful! She stepped in to help with daily walks while we were traveling and took amazing care of our pup, keeping us updated the entire time. She is punctual, communicative, and flexible; we feel very lucky to have found her and definitely trust her with our fur baby!

Riley did an excellent job taking my Siberian Husky out for a walk. He was respectful and communicative through the booking process and punctual the day of the walk. For the walk, he asked thoughtful questions about my dog's care, preferences, and more. She came home happy, connected to him, and most importantly, tired. Thank you, Riely! Would and will book him again!

Donovan provided excellent care for my large reactive husky. He is personable, punctual and responsive to messaging. My dog Tiba absolutely loved going on walks/jogs with him. His track and field background is perfect to meet the level of activity my working dog craves. Thanks again for helping me and my dad out while I was away. -Diana

Super responsive and communicative!!! It was our first time having Zorah walk our dog that we just adopted. She was comfortable with the fact that we don’t know the dog that well yet — she was willing to answer all sorts of questions about the dog’s behavior and even problem solve live via text! We spoke on the phone afterwards and she was very honest and clear in her communication. I really trust her to take good care of our new furry family member while we are at work.
