About: My experience caring for animals goes back to childhood. At 13, I had my own horse in the Oakland Hills, and my first job was caring for horses at the stable to help pay for his board. Animals have been an important part of my life ever since. Years later, my Australian Cattle Dog, Taz, became one of my greatest teachers. He came to me as a highly reactive rescue, and I developed a structured behavior-modification plan using positive reinforcement, consistency, exercise, and careful attention to his triggers. With patience and years of dedicated training, he made tremendous progress and went on to live a long, happy, and deeply loved life. That experience gave me a strong understanding of canine body language, behavior, enrichment, and the importance of structure and trust. I’m comfortable with senior dogs, rescue dogs, high-energy breeds, and dogs who may need some extra patience. I know that every dog is an individual, and I take the time to understand their personality, routines, boundaries, and quirks. I’m also a professional artist, and animals are a big part of my creative work—I especially love drawing pet portraits and caricatures. Working independently gives me flexibility in my schedule and allows me to give the animals in my care focused attention. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or pet sitting, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and genuinely cared for. I take the responsibility of looking after someone else’s animal seriously, while making sure we have some fun along the way. I work independently as an artist, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive pet care. I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and will work with you to maintain your pet’s normal routine. I believe pets do best when their normal routines and boundaries are respected. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual needs. I use patience and positive reinforcement and prioritize safety on walks and during visits. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated so you know how your pet is doing.

About: I've taken care of animals since a young age. Everything from dogs, cats, to chickens and fish, and of course, the occasional wild pig ;) I have a frug, so pet care is a part of my everyday routine. Daily bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, and a trip to the dog park. I have a fenced yard and my dog loves to run around it. She gets along well with other dogs that I care for and I let them roam freely around my home.

About: I've been taking care of kitties for my entire life, and more recently, dogs! So far, I've worked with hyper dogs, an anxious dog, and a sick dog, so I'm comfortable with a variety of energies. The days I have set for my availability are pretty consistently open, and other days, I can be flexible if you reach out in advance In a new space, I allow them to find a space they feel comfortable in and hang out with them for as long as they need to get adjusted. In a client’s home, I’d clarify everything with the client to make sure I’m attending to the pet’s needs appropriately

About: As a dog and cat mom, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets. I have experience caring for a variety of dog breeds, cats, rabbits, and birds, along with over 15 years of volunteering with dog and cat rescues. My experience includes hands-on care for shelter dogs and fostering, so I’m comfortable working with animals with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I work a hybrid schedule, so I’m available for pet care on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I intentionally limit the number of clients I take on so I can give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Having adopted two timid dogs, I understand the importance of creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet. My home is completely dog-proofed, with extra dog beds, furniture privileges for pups who love to snuggle, and a secure, fenced-in yard where dogs have regular access to the outdoors. My priority is understanding each pet’s individual needs and following the owner’s care instructions closely. I’m especially mindful of safety, whether at home or when entering and leaving a client’s home, always double-checking that doors are secure and locked. I also believe in clear communication, providing regular updates, and asking questions whenever something is unclear. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home!

About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was a young child, my family always had at least one dog. I am comfortable with spending time with dogs, walking them, playing with them, and anything special care they may need! I’m currently a part time college student (I’m starting college later in life) so I have plenty of time to be able to visit and hang out with pets. I always make sure the cats’ needs come first, checking all doors and windows are secured, and that there are no hazards. I’m very calm and patient, whatever energy and mood the cat is in, that is what goes!

About: I had a German Shepherd growing up. I felt very close to him. I currently don’t own a dog, but I’d love to own one someday. I often get to see and spend time with my sister’s dog who I love so much, and I always look forward to seeing him. I believe that I’ll be a great dog sitter. I currently don’t have any other job, so I’ll have plenty of time to look after people’s dogs. I’ll make great use of my days caring for people’s dogs. I’ll care for people’s dogs in their homes by feeding, playing with them, and taking them out for walks. I’ll be great company for the dogs.

About: I've been a dog owner for my entire life, attending dog training classes as early as 6 y/o. In the past, I shared responsibility for 2 family dogs (a Doberman and Springer Spaniel). I also have my own puppy, a friendly little mini-poodle named Peri! I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for 8+ years, and offering services on Rover for over a year now. I love all dogs and I will work to meet a variety of needs, from high energy puppies to elderly/disabled dogs. I don’t have a lot of experience with cats, but I’m happy to learn. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Right now I have a very open schedule to dedicate to pet care. In late August I will start my Master’s program at Cal, so my availability will be in the evenings Monday-Thursday, and open Friday-Sunday. Communication with clients is my #1 safety priority. I will ask questions to determine how to best care for each individual pet. I try to maintain a sense of normalcy/ routine to keep pets calm in what could be an otherwise stressful situation.
