About: I grew up with all kinds of family pets and including adopting my own puppy at 17. Since moving to Oakland I’ve been lucky to live with several cats and dogs of roommates of all dispositions (both the roommates and their pets) and now my fiancée and I have a perfect baby angel cat son. I’m comfortable with puppies over 3 months old and mostly potty trained, I don’t mind mouthy or jumpy pups and am happy to discourage behaviors according to their training. I’ve had experience with palliative care for two beloved senior dogs that required a little extra help and care and am happy to show your old buddy patience and TLC. Happy to do easy walks around the block or take longer adventures in Oakland’s redwoods! For cats and dogs I am comfortable administering most medications. I’m currently on a long break from full time work and have open week day availability for walks and visits, and can be available weekends with extended notice Ask someone who always wants pictures of my cat, I am happy to send you as many photos of your pet as you would like! I have a keen attention to detail and an above average ability to follow instructions, and I’m happy to do things your way. I have a backseat dog hammock for my car that make sure dogs of all sizes are able to get comfortable.

“Becca is very good with communicating; they are attentive and comfortable with both of our dogs — they only walked our sweeter easier dog but at meet and greet, our energetic one, who is usually anxious around strangers seems to take on with Becca well — we would probable use their service again! Thank you Becca!”

About: I had my own dog until she was 15 years old. Since she passed, I’ve been actively volunteering at Berkeley Humane Society and most recently Milo Foundation, where I have successfully fostered several dogs. I have experience with dogs of all age ranges, from puppies to seniors. I have also pet sit for dozens of dogs over the years and truly believe that dogs make the world a better place! I am currently on a sabbatical and have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I am scheduled in advance, I can be available for your pets needs. I am an active person who loves to hike, go to the beaches in Marin, and go for neighborhood walks. I also value relaxing at home and taking it easy too. Depending on your pet’s energy level, I can easily adapt to their needs! I care for pets in my clients home by ensuring I stick to the animal’s routine. I carefully review the routine, commands, feeding schedule, etc. with the owner in advance to ensure the pet’s routine remains consistent and they are as comfortable as possible in the absence of their human. I am committed to getting pets out for daily walks to provide exercise and enrichment.

About: Hey I’m Izzy! I’m here to treat your fur babies as if they’re mine. When I’m with your dog I like to stimulate their mind by bringing treats and toys and have fun with some training (of course with your permission first!). I am currently a self employed dog trainer so I do know how to handle different types of dogs. My main experience is training and I frequently work with service dogs. I have experience with all kinds of temperaments so don’t be shy to let me know if your dog has an anxiety issue or is overly excited. My upmost important priority is making your dog feel as comfortable as possible when he or she is under my care. I can’t wait to meet all these beautiful faces! I am also a student and still new to the bay area. Luckily at the moment my schedule is rather flexible, I can potentially adjust my schedule for your pet on certain occasions! I will follow whatever instructions you give me when I stay over at your home. There will be constant supervision when let outside or on a walk. Your dog will have a warm bed (or crate) to sleep in and their mental + physical needs will be met everyday!

About: have hands-on experience caring for dogs through both being a dog owner and pet sitting for others. I have a 3-year-old Miniature Poodle who I have raised and cared for since he was young, so l understand how important it is to provide dogs with plenty of love, attention, exercise, and a consistent routine. Through caring for my own dog, I'm experienced with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, basic grooming, potty breaks, and making sure dogs feel comfortable and safe. I have also cared for other dogs for friends and family, which has helped me become comfortable working with dogs that have different personalities, routines, and needs. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I treat every dog I care for as if they were my own. I'm patient, attentive, and will make sure your pet receives plenty of affection. playtime, and supervision while you're away. I'm also happy to follow any special routines or instructions you have so your dog feels as comfortable as possible. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine because I have a 3-year-old Miniature Poodle of my own. I make time throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to adjust my routine based on your pet’s normal schedule and individual needs so they can feel comfortable and cared for while they are with me. I live in an apartment and make safety and supervision a priority at all times. Dogs are always leashed when leaving the apartment and carefully supervised in hallways, elevators, and outdoor areas. I make sure each pet has a comfortable and clean space to relax, along with regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and attention. Since I also have a friendly Miniature Poodle, I would make sure dogs are introduced carefully and that everyone is comfortable around each other. I’m also happy to follow each owner’s feeding schedule, walking routine, house rules, and any special care instructions so their pet can feel as close to their normal routine as possible.
“Erika was absolutely lovely and we will definitely be walking with her again soon- and you should too! We really appreciate her accommodating our kooky training games as well as my rather last minute walk request. Our boy is happily napping now, very fulfilled by his walk thanks to Erika. She got a really, really, REALLY wonderful picture of our dog too. Thank you Erika! 🐾❤️”

About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.
“Heather was an absolutely wonderful dog walker for my two mini schnauzers! She walked them multiple times a week and was always reliable, attentive, communicative and great about following all of my instructions. I have one very social dog and one who is much more shy and cautious, and Heather did such a great job with both of their personalities. She was patient and took the time to earn their trust, and I could tell from my doggy camera that they would actually wait for her walks, which says a lot about how much they loved seeing her. I would happily recommend Heather to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog walker. She was fantastic with my pups, and I’m so grateful for the care she gave them. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

About: Hi there, I'm Torri, the one taking your furry friends for walks and watching them while you are gone! I've been surrounded by pets since I was a kid, from small dogs to big I feel comfortable with all sizes of dogs. Growing up, I raised pigs for 4-H and cared for horses, so I know the effort it takes to keep our animal buddies happy and healthy. Whether we're taking leisurely strolls or making sure our pets stay safe near roads, I'm dedicated to providing them with the best care possible during our walks and while hanging out at home. Lots of belly rubs and potty breaks incoming! Pet care is integrated into my daily routine. As a lifelong pet owner, I prioritize walks and playtime to ensure your fur babies receive the best care possible. My schedule is great for playtime and house sitting and to take your pets on a nice long walk in the morning and after I am off of work to get some of their energy out! If your dog likes runs/jogs I am happy to do that too! I tailor care to your pet's needs, offering both energetic jogs and leisurely strolls as requested by the owner. Hydration is key, and safety is always a priority. I will always bring water with me on the walks and ensure that your pet is on leash, and safe at home too!
About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

About: I’ve been raising a very cute black pug for four years. For some reason, I couldn’t bring him with me and I miss him a lot. I really love dogs, so I’d love to do some dog-related work in my free time. I’m happy to let dogs on the sofa or bed, since I always clean them up after walks to make sure both they and the environment stay clean. I’ve spent time with many different dogs, including some that were initially unfriendly. By offering treats, approaching them slowly, and taking the time to get to know them, I was able to build trust. I’m very patient with dogs! From Monday to Friday, I’m usually out for 2–4 hours a day, but I’m home all day on weekends. During my free time, I’m happy to take dogs out to play. 1. Diet: I carefully control meal portions and feeding times, and always make sure dogs stay hydrated—especially in hot weather. After walks, I wait 5–10 minutes before giving them water. 2. Hygiene: I clean eye discharge promptly and keep both the dogs and their environment clean. 3. Exercise: I walk dogs 2–3 times a day. 30min/walk. 4. Playtime: In my free time, I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with them. 5. Companionship: I spend as much time with them as possible. 6. Safety on walks: Dogs are always leashed outside. I stay alert when they interact with other dogs and separate them immediately if there are signs of aggression. I also make sure they don’t eat things off the ground, and I always clean up after them. 7. Sleeping: I used to sleep with my own dog, so if your dog is used to that, they’re welcome to join me too.
“Alexandria is absolutely wonderful! She provides a fun and safe environment and our dogs love her. She has great experience and communicates well! Her love and dedication for furry family members really shines. She really came through in a strong way for our family! Thanks Alexandria!”

About: I've been taking care of kitties for my entire life, and more recently, dogs! So far, I've worked with hyper dogs, an anxious dog, and a sick dog, so I'm comfortable with a variety of energies. It's always such a pleasure to be around pets, and I look forward to meeting your fur babies! I currently have a pretty open schedule besides some remote work I do twice a week. The days I have set for my availability are pretty consistently open, and other days, I can be flexible if you reach out in advance In a new space, I allow them to find a space they feel comfortable in and hang out with them for as long as they need to get adjusted. In a client’s home, I’d clarify everything with the client to make sure I’m attending to the pet’s needs appropriately

Kimmy did such a good job in walking my dog while I was gone to visit family out of state. My dog stayed with someone overnight but Kimmy made sure he got his walks, got his water and his human attention. My dog loves humans and he definitely enjoyed being outside.

Alison was very very helpful with my puppy Mellow. She followed all the directions I gave and made me feel at ease knowing my puppy is getting the care we want. She was punctual and sent some cute update pics of Mellow, which I loved seeing at work. I feel comfortable with Allison walking my little guy. 😇
