About: I had my own dog until she was 15 years old. Since she passed, I’ve been actively volunteering at Berkeley Humane Society and most recently Milo Foundation, where I have successfully fostered several dogs. I have experience with dogs of all age ranges, from puppies to seniors. I have also pet sit for dozens of dogs over the years and truly believe that dogs make the world a better place! I am currently on a sabbatical and have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I am scheduled in advance, I can be available for your pets needs. When I’m with your dog I like to stimulate their mind by bringing treats and toys and have fun with some training (of course with your permission first!). I am currently a self employed dog trainer so I do know how to handle different types of dogs. My main experience is training and I frequently work with service dogs. I have experience with all kinds of temperaments so don’t be shy to let me know if your dog has an anxiety issue or is overly excited. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

I have also helped my aunt care for her cats many times, including feeding them, checking on them, and spending time with them. My friends regularly trust me to look after their dogs when they are away. I’m currently a UC Berkeley student studying Mathematics and Data Science. Since much of my studying and coursework can be done from home, I’m home most of the time and have a very flexible schedule. About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

I've spent years specializing in pets with anxious attachment styles and find bonding with an animal around their terms and quirks to be extremely important to forming long term working relationships. I have worked everything from public dog boarding facilities to private in home daycare.
