“Kylah is amazing! Very thorough, caring and detail-oriented. Excellent communication. Watered plants, brought in packages and took great care of our kitty. I definitely trust that our home and pet will be in excellent hands with Kylah and will book her again.”

“Yen is sooo sweet!! She took care of my 2 feline boys (2 yrs old and 14 yrs old) and they both love her!! Not only does she follow routine, she goes the extra mile to see what the boys need and make sure they’re comfortable 🥰 her pics are super cute too and I always look forward to the daily Rover report cards when I was on vacation hehe. I can’t wait to use her service again!”

About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.
“Stephanie was a wonderful sitter for my cat. She was responsible, responsive, and communicative throughout her time watching my cat. She provided daily updates and made sure to ask questions when needed to ensure my cat was cared for well. I would have Stephanie cat sit again for me!”

“As always, Jess did a great job! He was super communicative during the visit and let us know when our kitty was having some digestive issues and worked with us to get her back on track. We can back to a happy and well cared for cat 🐈⬛ :)”
“Went above and beyond taking care of my two cats! I felt so comfortable (and happy!) with the care she gave them between lots of extra love, fixing the litter robot (thanks again! lol), and great reports that let me know everything going on with them. Will definitely have her help watch them again for me!”

About: I was raised in a pet friendly household growing up. I played with frogs, birds, chickens, insects, cats, and dogs during my childhood. With this upbringing, it feels natural taking care of any kind of pet. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large, high-energy dogs. Through this, I’ve learned to identify natural body language and recognize subtle signals that indicate comfort, stress, or preference, allowing me to adjust care to each dog’s individual needs. Through our own pups (Mars and Ellie), I learned to care for dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. I’ve become very attuned to the signals dogs give—whether they’re feeling playful, anxious, or just want space—so I can make sure they feel safe and happy. One of the most important detail about dog sitting is the information that the owner provides about their baby. I make sure these details are taken into consideration when looking after their pets. I am fully remote and have a slightly more flexible schedule than most people. I have my own business in Maryland and I am exploring different ventures while in SF. My wife is here full time so I am also here. I have no issues with sitting or walking at any day or time as long as the appropriate advance notice is provided. I care for others’ pets the way I would want my own to be cared for—with patience, attention, and respect. When house sitting, I ensure the home is kept clean and left in great condition. I make sure to not overstep in areas where I am not allowed and that instructions left for the pup's are followed. During walks, I stay highly attentive to each dog’s behavior and surroundings, watching for any potential risks such as approaching dogs or other hazards. I take proactive steps to keep them safe, avoid stressful situations, and always clean up after them. My priority is making sure every dog feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for.
“Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur baby! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was in get care. I loved getting pictures and a report while away. Thank you, Shirley!!!”

About: I have been a pet/ house sitter for the last 12 plus years. I have looked after animals ranging from dogs and cats of all different breeds, anges, and sizes! I am also familiar with pets who have ailments such as diabetes, and vision, and hearing loss. I have a four day work week and my work day schedule can vary. I am never away from the home for more than 8 hours at a time on my scheduled work days, however, I do live close to where I work and have the flexibility to pop over and take care of potty breaks. I always make time for walks, feedings, and attention throughout the day:) I prioritize creating trust and a safe environment for the animals I look after. Making sure that your pets receive their desired attention is important to me. Keeping to their scheduled feedings, potty breaks, and walk times is something else that I like to make a priority to help ensure they are as comfortable as possible while you’re away!

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was 5 years old. I love pets and currently have two Guinea pigs! I’ve taken care of elder dogs, puppies, dogs with health problems, usually for friends and family. No pet is a bad fit for me :) As a PhD student, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I am available when most aren’t. I can accommodate pet care into my schedule because I have the freedom to choose my hours. I always try my hardest to meet my clients expectations. I check-in with owners to make sure our needs and responsibilities are being met so you can have the peace of mind that your space and pet are well taken care of and respected.
“Jasmine was wonderful to work with. She came by to go over everything even though it was a last minute booking. She took great care of our 2 cats, including giving a daily medication. Her notes and pictures gave me confidence about how things were going while we were away.”

About: I’m a full time artist and WFH sitter with over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages including Puppies, seniors, special needs pets, and sensitive personalities. I live a calm and quiet lifestyle with my senior corgi, Mochi, and my sweet, dog friendly cat, Mumu. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will get steady attention, a peaceful environment, and care that never feels rushed. My dog Mochi is 10 and has had many health issues, including back leg mobility problems. Caring for her has given me strong experience with senior dogs, medication schedules, mobility support, slow routines, anxious pets and even stroller walks. I grew up with many pets, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve experienced a negligent sitter in the past whose carelessness sent my dog to the hospital. Because of that I take this work extremely seriously. I’m attentive, detail oriented, cautious and I never take shortcuts especially with older or delicate pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Because I’m an artist I’ll sometimes doodle a small portrait of your pet if time allows, just a little gift for you. A little about why I joined Rover: I recently moved into a larger space which has allowed me to comfortably host more pets. I also decided to start pet sitting as a way to help offset the rising costs of my senior dog’s insurance. It’s important to me that I can continue providing the best care for her and Rover lets me do that while offering attentive, reliable care to other pets as well. I WFH so I’m home most of the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine I already have a senior dog with daily feeding, meds so I’m used to gentle and structured care throughout the day. I take breaks to give pets attention, walks, playtime and lots of calm company. Your pet would be part of my daily rhythm not an afterthought I maintain a calm and supervised home where safety comes first. Pets get slow introductions and secure spaces and constant oversight since I work from home. My corgi is crate-trained and my cat has high-ground access so everyone has their own safe zones. I follow your schedule exactly : feeding, walks, meds, and activities so your pet stays on their normal routine. They’ll have a safe comfortable place to play or nap all day and can sleep with me at night if they'd like to. Diet & Feeding I follow your pet’s exact feeding schedule and portion sizes to keep everything consistent. I always make sure pets stay hydrated, especially in warmer weather. I feed my dog and guest dogs separately to avoid any food guarding or stress during mealtimes. Hygiene & Cleanliness I keep pets clean and comfortable throughout the day : wiping paws if needed, cleaning eye discharge and keeping their space tidy. I’m very detailoriented about maintaining a clean safe environment. Walk Safety All dogs are leashed outdoors at all times. I stay alert around other dogs separate pets immediately if there are signs of stress or tension and prevent ground eating or unsafe sniffing areas. I’m always attentive and I clean up after them every time. Sleeping Arrangements My own dog prefers her own bed and doesn’t sleep with me but your dog is welcome to sleep wherever they feel comfortable whether that’s in their own bed, the crate or in the bed with me for extra comfort. I make sure every pet has a safe cozy sleeping setup.

About: I was raised in a rural area surrounded by all kinds of animals, and we always had dogs and cats growing up. I have had the pleasure of dog and cat sitting numerous times over the years. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and enjoy spending time with them. I'm new to the Bay Area and looking to devote my time to your pet's schedule. I'm looking forward to getting outside and exploring new neighborhoods with some furry friends. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I stick closely to their pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications to help them feel secure and stress-free. I’m attentive to instructions, respectful of the home, and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure.
About: I'm a lifelong pet person who grew up with both dogs and cats. I've been a regular pet-sitter for around 15 years and have about 6 years of experience volunteering at dog shelters. I currently have 7-year-old tuxedo cat named Oliver. Since I don't have a dog of my own, I spend as much time as I can around other people's dogs! I'm fluent with and attuned to dog and cat body language and behavioral cues. When it comes to interaction, I follow the animal's lead. My goal is to provide a continuation of the home environment that your pet is already comfortable with. Bonus skills: - I can work with your dog on basic obedience training if desired. - I love giving furry dogs a gentle, thorough brushing. I have a flexible work schedule with more consistent availability on weekdays than weekends. Let's work together to find the schedule that works best for you and your pet. I'm a conscientious caretaker. I'll demonstrate respect for both your companion and your home by following your pet's routines and leaving things exactly as I found them.
About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have always loved being around animals. Growing up, I regularly helped care for my family’s dogs whenever they needed support, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’m also a cat parent to my two kitties, Michi and Kiki, whom I’ve raised since they were just 8 weeks old. They’ll soon be two years old! Caring for them has given me daily experience with cat care, routines, playtime, and creating a calm, comfortable environment for pets. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am currently a master’s student at UC Berkeley. Most days of the week, I end classes at 1pm, so I will be available after that, Sundays and Saturdays the whole day! I have a large apartment for your pup to play in! I also have an outside space for your pup to play in with supervision. Your pet will be my priority during our time together, and rest assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect, love, and kindness!
“Rachel (Yeon Soo) did a wonderful job caring for my senior cat who requires daily medication. She took the time to give her lots of love and sent great photos and updates. I won't hesitate to hire her again!”

“Michelle was amazing! I had a last minute emergency come up and I had to leave my 4 month old puppy home alone all day. I was frantic bc 1, I’ve never left him since the day I got him & 2, bc no one was been around my puppy alone since the day I got him. Michelle was able to fulfill my last minute request and put my mind at ease. Michelle was very communicative; she sent pictures and videos during both of her visits. I could cry at how great Michelle is Thank you again Michelle for your help”

Would recommend Ruby. She’s thoughtful and perceptive to the needs of your pet — and also respectful of house rules. I knew she was great when my cat (who is reticent to new people) was immediately comfortable with her; a sign that she’s truly an animal person!

Went above and beyond taking care of my two cats! I felt so comfortable (and happy!) with the care she gave them between lots of extra love, fixing the litter robot (thanks again! lol), and great reports that let me know everything going on with them. Will definitely have her help watch them again for me!

Lauren was a wonderful cat sitter for our kitty while we were on a two week trip. She maintained great communication throughout and you can tell from her photos and communication how much she cares. She went above and beyond even changing the litter and taking care of the mail, plants, and the trash! I highly recommend Lauren and would book again!

Alyna was great! It was my first time leaving my somewhat anxious velcro cat alone for a few days, and Alyna made sure she had plenty of playtime and snuggles. She was super easy to communicate with and responded quickly to messages. Would definitely book her again, it was wonderful to come home to a happy cat

I’m so glad Jolene and I found Shuhan! He is incredibly reliable, accommodating of Jolene’s needs and flexible with my schedule. I can tell he truly loves animals and I can trust he’ll take good care of Jolene when I’m away. He also takes the silliest pictures of Jojo, his updates/report cards always brighten my day.

Stephanie is amazing is honestly the best way to put it. From the communication before even meeting our girls to the actual meet-and-greet itself, she exceeded every expectation we had. Having reactive, anxious dogs can be emotional, and honestly really hard when it comes to finding the right sitter. Stephanie didn’t just handle that well, she handled it with an incredible level of calmness, patience, confidence, and intuition. She asked thoughtful questions, followed our meeting protocol perfectly, and met the girls exactly where they were emotionally. She approached everything calmly and confidently, and our dogs responded to that almost immediately. By the end of the visit, our dog who normally takes a long time before allowing touch was ready to give Stephanie kisses. Our other anxious pup was already listening to cues and happily doing tricks for treats. I genuinely feel so lucky we found her. You can tell this isn’t just a job for Stephanie. She truly understands dogs, especially the ones who need a little extra time and care. I already know she’ll be someone we use long term.

Shelly was perfect! We were so nervous about leaving our cats for a week in the middle of dealing with a flea-mageddon, but Shelly was incredibly understanding of our situation and took such great care of both our babies and our home. We would definitely book again!

Sam was awesome! I appreciated her attentiveness during the meet and greet, and she took great care of my cat Ella during her drop in visits. She took lots of pictures and provided a thorough update of what my cat was up to during her visit. Will definitely rebook!
