About: I’ve fostered and volunteered with a wide variety of animals over the last 10 years including cats, dogs, rabbits, reptiles, and farm animals. I’ve worked with a variety of ages (neonatal to senior), treated a variety of medical conditions (requiring medications, injections, and inhalers), and cared for animals of all temperaments (dog reactive, anxious, etc.) I’m currently a full time student at Berkeley Law but I’m usually on campus for only 5 or so hours a day. During the summer, I will be working remotely. On weekends, I am available all day. I will ensure that your pet stays in their usual routine while providing them plenty of love and attention. I will respect the animals boundaries in your home and build trust by creating a safe environment while you are gone.

About: I would love to care for your pet and provide them as much walks, runs, or scritches. I have taken care of cats and my rambunctious dog Kona as well as several rover friends when I was in college. I am prepared for all sorts of personalities and super excited to help out. I work from home most days so am happy to go on many walks and feed them on whatever schedule that they are accustomed to. We live near parks so the neighborhood is a convenient area to walk around. Our household has no pets and I only want to care for one pet at a time, so the home will be private and they will have our undivided attention. I live in the temescal Piedmont area and would love to take your pet out on frequent walks.

“We are so happy to have found Kendra on Rover and cannot recommend her enough to others! Long story: Our original boarding plans fell through and one of our sitters canceled on us a few days before our international trip. We were so stressed looking for someone trustworthy to look after our dog, Shelly, on such a last minute notice. Since it was Shelly’s first time away from family, we wanted to make sure she would be comfortable with her sitters. Kendra was willing to squeeze in a last minute trip over to our house at night for a m&g (which I happily tipped her for)! Upon meeting, I could tell right away that she is serious and passionate about her work. We appreciated all the notes she took down, questions she asked, and the time she took to get to know Shelly and earn her trust. We felt assured that our dog (family) would be in good hands. During the house sitting session (~4-5 days), Kendra kept me updated often on Shelly (as requested) and was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. As it was also our first time away from Shelly for an extended time, we were overly concerned and sent Kendra quite a lot of messages. She was very understanding and accommodating to our needs and requests. We were also worried about how Shelly would do around strangers (as she is easily scared/not a fan of strangers petting her), but she seemed to have taken a liking to Kendra pretty quickly. We loved seeing videos of her happily playing fetch with Kendra in our backyard and accepting scratches and pets from her. All in all, we would gladly have Kendra look after Shelly again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of of dogs since I was about 7, I’ve owned two as a child growing up. As an adult I spent most of my years as a single soldier as a mechanic and many of my coworkers need it sitters for a variety of dogs that I was always happy to assist with. Currently I’m a full time student working on my degree in audio design. I typically have classes twice a week with one online. On the weekends I dj Saturday nights 9-1am. I’m a very active person I run 2 miles to the gym at 6am 5 times a week and walk back after my workout. I’m a 16 year military veteran and have a lot of past experience with helping raise, walk and watch a variety of different animals while I was single and on active duty so now that I have more time on my hands it would be a great way to stay active throughout the week! I typically don’t keep animals at my home, but in other people’s home I always like to be introduced to the pet by the owner and have a very in depth overview of the things their animals absolutely do not like. After that I really like to know the owners worries and what things they need in terms of communication to keep them comfortable. As for the interaction I definitely want to be slow with the pet has any sort of anxiety but I love to give them lots of attention weather that’s to play with them talk to them or let them get comfortable by sitting on my lap or holding them.

About: My pet care experience includes looking after cats, dogs, fish, and hamsters. I'm happy to maintain litter boxes, take dogs on long walks and play fetch, spend time with cats, administer pills and medications to any animal (even if they are not excited about it), and provide pets and scritches whenever needed I'm currently working 8-4:30 with open availability every early morning, evening, and weekend from now until June 6! During the summers, my availability will be completely open! I am experienced caring for pets in other people's homes, but unfortunately not in my own because I have two rescued cats of my own.
