I've done pet sitting for friends and neighbors for over 20 years as well as fostering dogs and cats for Oakland Animal Services among other organizations. I have extra experience and education with senior and under-socialized cats.

I know routines are very important and comforting to animals as well as their people so I will always strive to follow instructions as closely as possible. I will provide a recap of each visit including photos unless you opt out.

Joanna was so great with my Biscuit! She followed my exact instructions for walks/sits, and Biscuit enjoyed his time with her. She was also attuned to his body language as well which is important to me. Joanna is definitely in my sitter/walker rotation now!
Joanna is a dream to work with for my anxious, older dog who takes a long time to love any new person. Joanna is knowledgeable, patient, and a great communicator. Trixie is warming up to her in record time.

Joanna is a fabulous house/cat sitter! It was our first time booking through Rover, and I was a bit nervous about it, but everything went smoothly and the process was easy. Joanna was prompt for our initial meeting and very engaged in learning about our home and especially about our sweet kitty. She followed up a few days before and send numerous updates with pictures and videos while we were gone. Our cat is older and gets very upset when we leave (thus graduating to a cat sitter to be with her full-time) and she did not have any issues while we were away and was very happy and content when we arrived home. Joanna was able to deal with her medication and feeding requirements with ease. We can't recommend Joanna enough!
Joanna is the ideal pet sitter. She followed the instructions closely and asks good questions and communicates frequently. She handles complex medication administration. She is very trustworthy and left out home in perfect condition with a very happy dog. Do not hesitate to hire Joanna!

Schedule
I primarily work as a personal trainer in San Francisco a few mornings a week and often have extra free time in the afternoons, evenings and when clients travel. I can't think of a better use of free time than spending it with dogs and cats while making sure they get the care they need. I love to travel and I know what a huge relief it is to have my pets well taken care of when I'm away.
