About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. About: Hi, I’m Cassandra, you can call me Cass if you like. I grew up in the farmlands of western Massachusetts, where animals were everywhere, so I’ve been surrounded by them my whole life. Most pets feel instantly comfortable with me, and I’ve even successfully tamed feral kittens for rehoming on several occasions. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even a chicken or two, and I work part-time at a dog sanctuary fostering small dogs from Mexico to loving homes in the Bay Area. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable, able to meet each pet’s unique needs—whether it’s a senior dog requiring extra care, a shy cat needing gentle reassurance, or a playful pup ready for walks and cuddles. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a creative consultant helping mission-driven individuals and nonprofits reach their goals and make maximum impact. I work mostly from home, which allows me plenty of flexibility to accommodate dog walking times, feedings, and cuddle sessions. On the days I have in-person meetings, they typically last 1–3 hours, so I can easily plan around them to ensure pets get the attention and care they need throughout the day. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes. I live in a small 500-square-foot cottage with my two cats, and my adult daughter comes home from grad school occasionally, so caring for pets in my own home isn’t feasible. Focusing on in-home care allows me to give each pet personalized attention in their familiar environment, keeping them safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their families are away

“I had Esteban house sit to look after my big, rambunctious dog Sable for 6 days. Not only did Esteban take amazing care of my dog, he left the house in incredible condition. All my dog’s needs were met, and he sent regular pupdates. I’m a very anxious person and it was my first time using Rover, but Esteban put me at ease and I am so glad I decided to go with him. I would 100% use Esteban again if I ever leave town. I believe it’s safer and easier on my dog than boarding her at a dog hotel. You da man, Esteban!”
