About: Berkeley Humane Society and Oakland Animal Services volunteer, trained with dogs of all temperaments. I also dog sit for family and friends, and love building trust and keeping routines consistent. I focus on quality walks, not quick outings. When appropriate, I take dogs to East Bay spots like Point Isabel, Albany Bulb and Berkeley Marina for space and stimulation. For drop-ins, your dog will get lots of attention, movement and care. I walk my dogs daily, often on longer outings. I adjust pace and distance based on your dog’s needs. Dog care is my priority right now. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I have flexibility and I can accommodate longer walks or extended visits I prioritize safety at all times. Dogs will always be on-leash and handled either full attention and control. I am so happy to have found Gretchen! She is a lovely person who obviously loves dogs and cats (I have both) and has clear extensive experience in caring for them. My dog Sidney typically spends a day each week in her care when I work far from home. I have peace of mind when my baby is with Gretchen; she takes her on multiple lovely walks each day to beautiful places like the Emeryville Marina and has a comfy inviting space where Sidney obviously feels very at home. I highly recommend Gretchen to care for your fur babies!
Mariola did a great job caring for my almost one year old puppy. I booked three days in a row while my husband was out of town and Pepper was eager to go each day. Mariola had helpful tips about managing youthful enthusiasm without shaming her for still working on self control.
VJ and Matthew are the best. I feel so safe leaving my dog Willa with them, I always trust that she’s in good hands. They take such good care of her; as an example, when she’s finicky with food they’ll hand feed her (without me ever having suggested it). They’re great communicators and always send the cutest pictures of Willa cuddling with them and the dogs. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
Tamara was so thoughtful and helped me out with my pup on a days notice. She’s got a great, fenced yard and her energy is very calming. Her sweet pup Sidney is also wonderful. I felt very good leaving my Popcorn with her while I was at work. We will definitely be seeing Tamara again. 💚
Taylor is an absolute godsend! As well as her husband Kevin. She takes care of Kahlo weekly when I go to work and I am able to relax knowing Kahlo is in the best hands. I went on my first trip recently and Kahlo stayed with Taylor and Kevin for several days. Being a new dog mom, meant I had overwhelming anxiety leaving on my first trip and was so worried about leaving my dog convinced she would have serious separation anxiety. Well, I was totally wrong. LOL. I am honestly not sure that Kahlo wanted to leave. She had the best time and enjoyed all the attention she was spoiled with during her stay. Taylor was so sweet and sent me so many updates and pictures throughout her stay. She even printed a keepsake of pictures from her stay that I now have in my home. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away. It has been a true blessing finding Taylor. She is kind, communicative, and treats your dog as her own. Thank you Taylor and Kevin for being so awesome ❤️! Truly Grateful.
