About: Upcoming Dog Sitting Availability: Nov 28–Dec 21 · Dec 30–Jan 4 · Jan 18–Feb 9 · Feb 15–20 · Mar 8–Apr 30 · May 9–Jul 20 · For four and a half years I shared a home with Rhodesian Ridgebacks, ranging from a 13-year-old senior to a young puppy. That span taught me to tune in to each dog's needs by age and personality: the gentleness a senior needs, the structure a young dog needs, the patience a puppy needs. I walk, play, and cuddle; I also handle medications, feeding, and even home-cooked meals when needed. It means I tend to click with new dogs fast. These days I don't have animals of my own, which makes the time I get with clients' pets feel like a gift. This is also my full-time work — no day job pulling me away. I feel really lucky. I'd love to chat about what your family needs. When I'm house sitting, your pet is my home base. I may step out for a walk or two with another client during the day, but your baby's routine comes first and they get the bulk of my time, love, and care. When I'm not house sitting, I'm available every day after 11am for walks and drop-ins from Oakland up to the El Cerrito areas. To keep things safe and comfortable, I never walk dogs from different households together. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

About: 30 year old working fully remote as a graphic designer. I grew up on an organic small farm with dogs, chickens, goats, horses, geese, cats - you name it! Because of this I am knowledgeable about animal behavior and I have a way with connecting with animals to make sure they feel understood, comfortable, and safe. I've been surrounded by animals all my life and have always been in love with them. I have had big and small dogs, from german shepard mixes, huskies, to terriers. I also love cats and know how to approach and interact so they feel comfortable. Even the most anxious cat will usually warm up to me quite quickly. I work remotely as a graphic designer so I'm home most of the day and can fit in walks, feedings, and play breaks around my work.Whether it’s at your house or mine, I can give your pet lots of love and attention. I have a super flexible schedule. I live in a clean, safe apartment in a residential neighborhood that is great for walking dogs. The doors and windows stay closed while your pet is staying and I'll be sure to send lots of photos of your pet 💕

About: I am an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Political Science. I have several years of experience cat and dog sitting for various friends and family members. Most recently, I attended to a family friend's two cats, spending quality time with them each day, feeding them, playing with them, and clearing out their litter boxes. In the past, I have also walked dogs and dog-sitted while owners were on vacation. As a pet owner myself, I enjoy spending time with cats and dogs and am extremely attentive to their needs. Additionally, I have experience following multi-step instructions regarding pet care that are suited to the owners' preferences. I have lots of free time given that my class schedule is going to be light this year. When I'm at school, I don't get to be with my family pet, so I would love to bring cats and dogs into my daily/weekly routine. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always follow the owner's routine as closely as possible. I know that consistency helps pets feel comfortable, so I make sure they receive their meals on schedule, get plenty of fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If pets are staying in my home, they'll have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision. I'll make sure they get exercise, enrichment, and a calm place to rest, while monitoring them closely for any changes in behavior or health. About: Hi! I'm Josephine, an experienced dog sitter and returning adult student. This might sound cliche, but dogs are my absolute favourite animals! I treat animals with as much respect as I would a human being. I have an intuitive, receptive, and education-based approach to caregiving. As a highly sensitive person, I can easily feel the needs and desires of animals, as well as other things they're communicating. My experience includes taking care of reactive dogs, dogs using wheelchairs, young ones and seniors. 
 I'm happy to integrate whatever your dog needs during pet-sits, drop-ins, and walks, such as treats and basic training they're already working on. I've trained my previous dog to do a few things as an adult, so I'm familiar with the process, but I'm not a trainer myself. For dog-sitting, I'm 100% respectful of your home, so I do my best to keep everything in tact, clean, and tidy. I'm currently studying full time and I have plenty of available time to play, laugh, and walk with your furry buddy! I'm sure we can figure out a perfect schedule. For dog-sitting, I follow all of your care instructions, including for specialized diets and medication. I'm very attentive to the dog's needs and desires and will answer to them promptly.
