About: I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, with a particular love and comfort level for well-behaved pups of any size. I previously had multiple Great Danes, so managing large, powerful dogs is second nature to me. I know reside with my 15 lb Aussiedoodle in the East Bay. My care style is calm, attentive, and highly personalized. I focus on creating a relaxed, structured environment where dogs feel secure, understood, and genuinely cared for. I especially enjoy long walks, outdoor time, and thoughtful enrichment that keeps dogs mentally engaged as well as physically exercised. Whether your dog thrives on adventure, routine, or simply peaceful companionship, I tailor care to their individual temperament and needs. While I adore dogs of all sizes, I naturally connect with well-mannered large and giant breeds. Their personalities, presence, and gentle nature have always been my sweet spot. My Approach • Calm, grounded energy • Long, engaging walks • Enrichment & mental stimulation • Respect for routines & preferences • Reliable, boutique-style care I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. My goal is always to provide a level of care that feels thoughtful, intuitive, and genuinely reassuring. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup 🐾 I have intentionally limited daytime availability, which allows me to provide highly attentive, unrushed care. Rather than juggling multiple bookings, I typically focus on one household per day so your pet receives my full presence, energy, and attention. I own and operate a small business, and during this season I’m choosing to supplement my days doing something I genuinely love — spending time with animals. Caring for pets is something I find grounding, joyful, and deeply rewarding. For walks, I choose safe, calm, low-stress environments. I’m highly mindful of surroundings and well-versed in reading situations to ensure dogs remain comfortable and relaxed. I have extensive experience handling large and giant breeds on leash, and I’m confident managing powerful dogs with steady, grounded energy. Off-leash activity is never an option unless within your pet’s own familiar environment and based entirely on your preferences. Trust & Care for Your Home I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a high level of trust. I treat every home with the same respect, discretion, and care I would expect for my own. I’m naturally tidy, conscientious, and attentive to details — whether that means maintaining cleanliness, following household preferences, or ensuring your space is left exactly as you’d expect. Referrals are gladly provided upon request. I’ve been trained to remain observant and considerate of other dogs, children, and potential stressors, and I proactively navigate walks in a way that prioritizes safety and ease for your dog. Your pet’s well-being, security, and peace of mind are always my highest priority.
“Cara was so caring, responsive, and also very responsible. I was initially worried about leaving my cat for two weeks but I left him in very good hands with Cara. I especially appreciated all the photos she sent and the little daily updates! My cat loved her. I was able to relax knowing that I had a very sweet and reliable sitter.”

About: I’ve had experience with a handful of different cats and dogs, from walking to house sitting, I also offer pet photography alongside your service. I am a quick learner, motivated, and would love to take care of your pet. I am in the process of preparing to start animal behavioral college, where I’ll be majoring in animal training. I’m currently on a break from work until the end of August/ early September so I can accommodate to your needs and have lots of time to play with your critters. I have a fenced large open patio and yard, the perfect spot with plenty of space for your fur baby/ies. I can also stay overnight at your house, I’m open, I will always leave your home better than I found it.
About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for pets through both professional work and private pet-sitting. I currently work part-time for a pet boarding company where I walk dogs, supervise playtime, and help with daily care like feeding and cleaning. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve also completed many overnight pet-sitting and house-sitting stays in clients’ homes. I focus on keeping pets on their normal routines so they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, and I always treat clients’ homes with the same care and respect as my own. I’m experienced caring for pets with special needs, from senior dogs on oral medications to administering insulin injections for diabetic cats. I also send regular photo updates and messages so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m an animal lover and I have two kitties of my own. I’ve been volunteering with animals at the Oakland Zoo and the East Bay SPCA. Pet care is a large part of my day. I have two cats at home who need lots of love and attention. I also work part time at a boarding business with dogs and cats about three days a week. I love animals and love to hang out with them in my free time daily. O’ always excited to be there for sad fur babies who miss their parents. It’s super rewarding! I care for pets in clients’ homes usually by staying overnight and sleeping with them. I play and hang out with the pups or kitties while i’m there to give them attention and keep em happy while their parents are gone. I take dogs on walks couple times a day and clean litter boxes for cats too if the client doesn’t need live in overnight sitting. I can also always play with the dogs outside in backyards during short potty breaks if the client prefers not to have the dogs taken on walks. I always make sure to leave the house just as clean as it was when beginning the job.
About: I’m an Adoption Counselor at Berkeley Humane and have years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve fostered litters of kittens as well as rescue pups, in addition to having a sweet, friendly kitty of my own, Ludo. I grew up with two dogs, and my friends, family, and neighbors have entrusted me to care for, walk, feed, play with, and love their fur babies for many years. I’m a lifelong lover of animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pet like family! I’m currently working mostly remotely in addition to being a part-time student, so I will have plenty of flexibility and time to hang out with and care for your pet. I live in a beautiful neighborhood that’s a perfect place to take your pup on walks. There’s also a park right up the street for extra play time. My own kitty is indoor only, and my apartment building has a door that automatically locks for extra protection and escape-proof security. For kitties, I have lots of big windows that are completely secured with screens so your baby can enjoy the outdoors from the safety of my home. For dogs, I live right next to a park that is super dog friendly, and my residential family neighborhood is perfect for walks. My apartment building also has a nice lawn for quick potty breaks.
About: I’ve spent most of my animal care time over my life with all kinds and sizes of dogs. I love every pup’s different personality! I’ve been pet and house sitting since I was a teen with a reputation for care and cleanliness. My weeks are fairly regular. I bartend for work so I will be absent from around 6-8 pm to 12-3am a few days a week. Otherwise I have my day time free with plenty of time for fun outdoor expeditions. Your comfort and trust are of upmost important to me! Pets are family and they need to be properly taken care of. I prefer caring for them in your home so their environment is familiar and I am a support coming to their home to make them safe.

About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.
About: I've been taking care of cats since I was a child and I have been dog sitting family dogs since I was a teenager. Some of my priorities are making sure all furry friends are comfortable while they are away from family and learning their habits so that I can best support their needs. Being in the company of animals brings me great joy so I try to make their time with me as engaging and serene as possible. :) I'm a full time student with flexible schedule as I only attend lectures and can study from most places. Every day looks different for me but I tend to have free mornings and a big block of free time for lunch! I make sure their living space is safe and check their mood to see what steps to take to make sure they can rest comfortably every night. Some examples of safety for me include checking that no food that's toxic is left out, induction stoves locked, windows closed and emergency grooming done (like nail clipping if its uncomfortable for them, or brushing matted fur if its starting to show up, all done if the pet is used to it of course). I keep in mind their energy levels, bowel movements and make sure to communicate any significant change of behavior to pet parents :)
“Tyler is always great. He has watched our dogs and cats a few times now. He is extremely thorough and detailed each time. He provides frequent updates and pictures and our animals love him!”

About: Aside from owning my own dogs for over 10 years, I have worked as a professional pet-sitter and dog-walker for 2 years. I make sure to be intentional with how I spend my time with your loved one and bring them back feeling cared for and hopefully tired! I'm currently a part-time student, so I will have lot's of time to dedicate to your pet! I am mostly available to sit or walk on weekdays between 12 - 8 pm but if this time frame doesn't work, feel free to send me a message and I would be happy to accommodate you! I make sure to keep an eye on them at all times and will diligently follow whatever rules or other safety precautions you have inside or outside your home. I am loving yet respectful of their space, and comfortable with different types of pets and personalities.

About: Hi! My name is Natalie Dodge, and I recently relocated from New York City to the Bay Area. I’m so excited to connect with fellow pet lovers in my new community! Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I bring years of hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I’ve provided reliable pet sitting services for friends, neighbors, and clients, including drop-in visits, long walks, feeding routines, and plenty of playtime and affection. I understand how important it is to maintain a pet’s routine while their owner is away, and I always prioritize making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In addition to pet sitting, I previously worked at a professional dog washing and grooming shop, where I gained experience handling dogs with a wide range of personalities. That role taught me how to read animal body language, practice safe handling techniques, and remain calm and patient in any situation. It also deepened my passion for attentive, compassionate animal care. I treat every pet as if it were my own and believe clear communication with owners is just as important as quality time with their animals. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I would love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I'm currently not working much, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your fur-babies! I have access to a car, and also use public transport, so I am able to bring animals on good walks in and out of the neighborhood. I grew up having 2 cats and 1 dog, and with all my other pet-sitting experience, I know how to care for pets in a loving and detail-oriented way.
“Wenjie did a great job taking care of Brody. Brody usually shies away from new people, but he became friends with Wenjie quickly! Wenjie treated both our dog & our home respectfully and I will definitely seek him out again when the need arises. We were kept fully informed after every visit. It made us feel like Brody was in very capable care, leaving us able to relax and not worry at all while we were away. Definitely a 5 star experience! Thanks again, Wenjie!”

If we could leave more than 5 stars we would. Alyssa gave good vibes dome the jump. Once the visits started we got follow-up questions, plenty of photos, and updates, Alyssa was a phenomenal sitter with great communication. We could tell the kitties were in such great hands, because they didn't even run up to the door for cuddles when we got home. That has never happened. We appreciated the care Alyssa took to sweep up the litter too because no other rover sitter we've had has done that.

Jennifer came through last minute when my previous person cancelled & I was already out of town. She checked on my cat Kava daily & was super easy to communicate & coordinate with. This was my cat's first time home alone so Jennifer coming by daily was definitely appreciated (even if my cat was hiding part of the time lol). She gave me updates after each visit that helped put me at ease. I'd definitely work with her again in the future!

Vlad was wonderful! I was worried I would have trouble finding someone to take care of our chickens, but immediately I realized we were in great hands with Vlad. He is experienced with a large range of animals including chickens, and was more than willing to look after ours. He was quickly responsive, extremely accommodating, and very friendly. He went above and beyond in taking care of the chickens, immediately trying to get to know them and taking great care to make sure that all their needs were met. I could tell he really cared and appreciated the extra time he spent with them on his visits. I would definitely hire Vlad again and give him my highest recommendations!!
Kimberly was very sweet and helpful with my 3 cats. It was her first time sitting for my 3 kitties. I was concerned as it was the first time and since my one older cat needed meds. Kimberly took pics at every visit. She spent some time with them to get them all adjusted and I couldn't be happier with her care. My older cat got his meds and all went very well. I was t thankful for her professionalism, care of my cats and consideration that anything I might have needed for them while gone, was taken care of. Highly recommend. We will definitely be hiring her again.
