“Irina is great. We set up a pre-meet with her and she was exactly on time and asked good questions about our dog. We departed early in the morning for our trip, and Irina was scheduled to come to the house at about 10 am to take him out for a walk. We were a bit nervous because it was our first time with Irina, but she arrived exactly on time for the dog walk. She checked-in afterward with us and sent a photo as well We think that Irina is excellent and strongly recommend her.”

“Kat was just terrific taking care of our two fox-red labs. She went “above and beyond” with long walks and play on some pretty rainy days. I would use and highly recommend Kat without hesitation. She is an absolute gem. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
About: I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, with a particular love and comfort level for well-behaved pups of any size. I previously had multiple Great Danes, so managing large, powerful dogs is second nature to me. I know reside with my 15 lb Aussiedoodle in the East Bay. My care style is calm, attentive, and highly personalized. I focus on creating a relaxed, structured environment where dogs feel secure, understood, and genuinely cared for. I especially enjoy long walks, outdoor time, and thoughtful enrichment that keeps dogs mentally engaged as well as physically exercised. Whether your dog thrives on adventure, routine, or simply peaceful companionship, I tailor care to their individual temperament and needs. While I adore dogs of all sizes, I naturally connect with well-mannered large and giant breeds. Their personalities, presence, and gentle nature have always been my sweet spot. My Approach • Calm, grounded energy • Long, engaging walks • Enrichment & mental stimulation • Respect for routines & preferences • Reliable, boutique-style care I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. My goal is always to provide a level of care that feels thoughtful, intuitive, and genuinely reassuring. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup 🐾 I have intentionally limited daytime availability, which allows me to provide highly attentive, unrushed care. Rather than juggling multiple bookings, I typically focus on one household per day so your pet receives my full presence, energy, and attention. I own and operate a small business, and during this season I’m choosing to supplement my days doing something I genuinely love — spending time with animals. Caring for pets is something I find grounding, joyful, and deeply rewarding. For walks, I choose safe, calm, low-stress environments. I’m highly mindful of surroundings and well-versed in reading situations to ensure dogs remain comfortable and relaxed. I have extensive experience handling large and giant breeds on leash, and I’m confident managing powerful dogs with steady, grounded energy. Off-leash activity is never an option unless within your pet’s own familiar environment and based entirely on your preferences. Trust & Care for Your Home I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a high level of trust. I treat every home with the same respect, discretion, and care I would expect for my own. I’m naturally tidy, conscientious, and attentive to details — whether that means maintaining cleanliness, following household preferences, or ensuring your space is left exactly as you’d expect. Referrals are gladly provided upon request. I’ve been trained to remain observant and considerate of other dogs, children, and potential stressors, and I proactively navigate walks in a way that prioritizes safety and ease for your dog. Your pet’s well-being, security, and peace of mind are always my highest priority.
About: I’ve spent five years volunteering at an animal shelter, working with pets of all kinds, and have fostered kittens, so I’m no stranger to cuddles, chaos, and everything in between. On top of that, I have plenty of experience with overnight pet care, house sitting, and making sure pets feel safe and happy while their humans are away. Whether your pet needs extra attention, a structured routine, or just a reassuring presence, I’ll make sure they’re well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care, frequent check-ins, and a consistent routine for your pet. Whether they need regular walks, playtime, or just some extra companionship throughout the day, I can easily accommodate their needs and keep them happy while you’re away. I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. While I don’t have a yard, I live near a park, making it easy to ensure dogs get plenty of exercise and fresh air. In a client’s home, I respect their space and routine, keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment.
About: I love all animals big and small. I have volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter and Oakland Zoo. Always had cats and dogs in my life. I am retired and enjoy walking (and playing with) dogs/cats and getting exercise. My time is pretty flexible and can work with your busy schedule. Safety is my main concern when walking a pet — always ensuring harness/collar/leash is secure and avoiding approaching dogs. After a walk I fill their water bowls and ensure the door is locked.
About: I have been around and taking care of animals since I was a kid! Growing up on my grandmas farm with 7 dogs, 5 horses, 9 cats and about 50 llamas taught me how to properly care for animals of all kinds, and how they can also take care of you! I had a pug named Fergus growing up and have lived with a pitbull mix for about 6 years, who I love to care for. I have also always had cats and have raised 3 rabbits! I love animals of all kinds, I can’t wait to meet yours ! I am an art student, and would love to care for your pet in my free time ! I’m available weekends and afternoons mon-friday ! I am not currently available available to host pets in my home but would love to visit your pet in your home to feed, give love and attention and let them out to run around and play games !
About: I care deeply about animals and treat every pet as I would my own. Along with fostering dogs, I share my home with my gentle 5 year-old dog, which has taught me how important patience, kindness, and thoughtful caregiving is. I’m very attentive to routines, emotional cues, and what helps each dog feel secure. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, and I aim to create a calm, loving environment where dogs feel relaxed, understood, and truly secure. I had a dog growing up so I’m extremely comfortable with and around dogs. In fact, I think I communicate with them better than humans :) I'm usually available most days since I work from home. And sometimes on weekends as well. If you’re looking for someone last minute, feel free to ping me and I will try responding within the hour. Looking forward to long playtimes and walks with your pups and dogs! And maybe some basic commands as well, if desired :) PS I could potentially do overnight house sitting as well, but would have to consider it on a case by case basis. Sorry about that! Pet care fits very naturally into my day. I work from home and set my own schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for walks, meals, playtime, cuddles, and check-ins. Pets are never left alone if they are at my place, and I enjoy building my day around their routines so they feel comfortable and cared for. I care for pets in a calm, loving, and closely supervised environment. In my home, dogs have access to a secure yard for safe outdoor time and a sunny deck where they can relax and enjoy fresh air. Pets are never left alone - there’s always companionship, either from me or my friendly 5-year-old resident dog who genuinely enjoys the company of all animals. I’m very thoughtful about safety, routines, and comfort, and I pay close attention to how each pet is feeling throughout the day. My resident dog does have mild separation anxiety and is currently in training, which means I’m especially mindful about creating a steady, reassuring environment and managing transitions gently and responsibly. In your home, I follow all instructions closely and focus on maintaining familiar routines, minimizing stress, and keeping pets safe and comfortable in their own space.
About: I offer dedicated care, with years of dog walking experience, training & loving my own dogs —ensuring comfort, play, and tailored attention for every pup <3 I'm currently a full time student & spend most days working on assignments from home! This leaves me with free time to care for pets! I have a fenced in yard at my home & have plenty of experience caring for my own pups as well as dog sitting/walking dogs in my neighborhood!

About: Grew up with dogs, in my 20’s adopted a dog of my own and we spent almost 15 years together. Dogs are simple but empathetic and require patience and care just like anything else, I’ve pet sat for many friends and family members and love the opportunity to make new friends. I recently was laid off so my schedule is wide open for pet care, I am hoping to keep myself busy since the job market has been so bleak despite me applying far and wide daily. I am available full time for any pet needs! Walks, play time, feeding or simply being a presence for a shy or hesitant pet. I am well seasoned in all things pets be it clean up or medicine. Aside from caring for my own cats and dogs over the years, I have provided pet care and sitting for many friends and family members. I understand pets are part of the family and require social interaction and love and always make sure to spend time socializing and playing. I am open to check-ins, overnights or a combo of both. I love instruction but also can take the wheel if needed! I think it’s important to follow the pets existing routine as close as possible to ease anxiety.
“Richard was incredible with our new puppy. Moro can be a bit of a handful, but Richard was so good to him on the walks and provided him with all the care he needed. We really appreciated Richard's timely communication and engaging updates. We even got a helpful doggy report card at the end of our vacation! Moro looks forward to spending more time with Richard in the future.”

“Jennifer was a stellar dog sitter for my girl. When no one showed at the dog park for my uber social girl, Jennifer took the extra mile literally and walked my girl around Lake Merritt. When it was time to leave, she made sure my girl was properly prepped for bed time. When I came home I found a well fed and tired out Dutchie. With Jennifer looking after my girl, it was less stress to carry. Would Def recommend her to owners of high energy dogs.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of intention and care I bring to every pet I watch. I don’t see this as just a service — I truly believe pets are gifts and important members of the family, and I treat them that way. I’m comfortable caring for pets at all life stages. With young pets, I reinforce positive behaviors, basic training cues, and consistent routines to help support what owners are already working on. I’m patient and understand that puppies and kittens need structure, energy outlets, and clear boundaries. For senior pets, I provide a calm, gentle approach. I’m attentive to mobility needs, slower routines, medication schedules if needed, and making sure they’re comfortable and not overstimulated. I pay close attention to behavior changes and subtle cues so I can adjust care appropriately. I also prioritize communication and reliability. I provide thoughtful updates and photos so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. Overall, I focus on individualized care — meeting each pet where they are and making sure they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated time and energy for each pet I’m caring for — whether that’s drop-ins, feedings, play sessions, or overnight stays. I don’t overbook because I want every animal to get focused attention, not rushed visits. I build pet care into my mornings and evenings especially, when most cats feel most active and engaged, and I make time throughout the day for check-ins, updates, and communication with owners. Caring for pets isn’t something I “squeeze in” — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my week. My approach to pet care is centered around keeping things as close to a pet’s normal routine as possible, because that’s what helps them feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, litter box routines, and household preferences carefully. I make sure cats have clean spaces, fresh water, enrichment through play, and plenty of affection (or space, if that’s what they prefer). I also keep the home tidy and send regular updates with photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. If caring for a pet in my home, I focus on creating a calm, low-stress environment where they have a comfortable place to rest and decompress. I’m intentional about introductions, stimulation levels, and maintaining consistency with their usual feeding and play routine. I pay close attention to behavior and mood changes so I can adjust care as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on patience, safety, and individualized attention. Every pet has a different personality — some want lots of play and interaction, others prefer quiet companionship — and I tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable.
About: From two years old and on I have always had at least two dogs in my house. I grew up with two 135lb Shiloh Shepherds and currently have two Belgian Malinois. I learned early on how to take care of my dogs. From puppy to a powdered sugar face, I have experienced it all. They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. When it comes to taking care of any precious animal, this statement has never felt more true. Outside of my own home, I have pet sat a wide variety of animals. Since starting college, I have missed my own dogs, but I would be more than ecstatic to be able to take care of yours. Im a senior at UC Berkeley with lots of time on my hands. My schedule is flexible and can fit with almost any owner or pet. I’m free Monday- Thursday (before 9am, after 11am), and all day Friday-Sunday I live on the bottom floor of a house with a fenced in backyard that includes a grassy area. I also live right next to a big park where many dogs frequent. I’m 20 mins from campus as well as 5 minutes from the Berkeley fire trails.
“Shanley was wonderful with our 8 month old bernadoodle! This was our first experience with Rover with our first dog ever. She had great communication throughout the experience, was super responsive and reliable, and even shared pictures and updates from her walks. We're lucky to have Shanley nearby to help us care for our puppy when work or trips come up. Thank you!”

“Shelly did a great job with our needy little princess. Our dog can be shy with new people and get into trouble on walks but she handled it well and was very flexible with schedule changes.”

About: Hello! My name is Jane. I really love dogs and have been with dogs since I was 6 years old. I took care of my own 2 dogs for more than 10 years, from when they were small puppies until they became old. I learned how to feed, walk, play, and give love every day. I will treat your pet like my own, with love and care. I love spending time with pets, and I’m happy to take care of them in my free time. I’m still a college student, and most of my classes are online, so my schedule is flexible. I’m usually available in the morning and afternoon, and I can also help in the evening if needed. I will always do my best to follow the pet’s routine. When I take care of pets, I always try to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. For my own pets, I feed them in the morning and afternoon. After they eat, I wait about 30 minutes, then take them for a walk. I also give them their own space where they can relax or play by themselves. If I’m at the client’s home, I try to keep the same routine, so the pet doesn’t feel stressed or confused.
About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

Alexandria rescued me when my initial dog sitter I had lined up backed out at the last minute. I’m so thankful for her! She was super responsive and very easy to communicate with. I have a senior dog and he had an accident inside, and she cleaned it up with no hesitation. She followed my directions for feeding and sent photos to let me know he was okay. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker and/or sitter! I’ll be booking her again soon for sure.

I am very happy to have found Chloe on Rover. She's a super nice person, and my dog, Raffi, is in love with her. She's helped me out for 2 weeks, and she's been on time every day, gives good long walks, and always gives me a heads up when she's on her way. She's also flexible when I had to make some last minute changes in schedule. I highly recommend her for your dog walking needs. MY dog will miss her!
Laura is awesome! She pays close attention to our reactive pup's cues and works to stay within her comfort zone to have a successful walk. Laura also has super communication, sending detailed updates and walk reports. We're so grateful for her reliable care!

Anna always does an amazing job communicating her availability and time with me. She is always happy to take care of my pup and kitties when she is available. Bubba is always happy to see her, and she does a great job walking him even though he can be leash reactive with other dogs.

Talissa is a great dog walker! Walking my Koa for the past month or so for a couple of days a week and Koa loves going on walks with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better person so caring and timely. Communication is absolutely amazing and I love the daily updates. Definitely recommended!

Esteban is the best! I was very afraid I would not find anyone to walk Piper as she is strong and slightly dog selective. Also certain dog folks do not want to walk her with a muzzle which is confusing to me, he has no issues with it. Esteban came for a meet and greet and it was a great fit! Piper has come home happy and exhausted! Can’t wait to grow our relationship with him! He’s the best!

Padraic is an exceptional dog walker—responsible, patient, dedicated, flexible, and completely trustworthy. Our almost 3-year-old dog is a rescued and very skittish pup who is incredibly sweet and affectionate but needs a lot of time to feel comfortable with new people and new surroundings. In the beginning, she barked at him constantly and hesitated during the first several walks, but Padraic never rushed her. With his calm, gentle, and friendly manner, he gradually earned her trust and helped her relax. Padraic consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our dog feels safe and comfortable, and he has always been accommodating to our needs. We feel very lucky to have found him. I highly recommend Padraic without hesitation, and we will absolutely be asking for his walking services again and again!
