“Shanley was great with both our dogs and even adjusted her schedule to take them on earlier walks when a heat wave came in the middle of our trip. We so appreciated her flexibility and her concern for our doggos’ well-being!”

“Sophie has been amazing with my girl Rosie as she adjusts to city life. She has made a huge impact on keeping her calm and helping keep her active by giving her good exercise and working with to stay calm and focused while encountering squirrels, other dogs and loud noises on their walks. I have noticed such a change due to Sophie's interventions. Sophie is prompt, communicative and kind. A one of a kind! Rosie adores her!”

About: I have had and cared for pets since childhood, rescuing (literally from the streets) a lovely pitbull named Olive when I lived in Philadelphia. Moved to CA in May 2026 from East Coast. I recently moved to CA to support my wife’s new job in SF. I have a fully open schedule at the moment and with a love of animals I thought that this would be a better way to learn and love my new community than digging through online job ads. I am willing to sit, play, walk, feed and care for your pets as needed. I’m an active (formerly collegiate) runner and can go as fast or slowly as your pet needs. I have reliable transportation and experience in pet first aid as I recently completed my tenure as an Emergency Manager with the American Red Cross.
About: I grew up with many types of rescue dogs at home. I love all dogs but especially poodle mixes and have experience with doodles. Coqui is now 5 years old and I got him at 8 weeks, so understand the doodle ways. I will take great care of your fur baby! Also, dog must be ok with other dogs in the house. Coqui is very friendly and loves other dogs. We typically go on 4x walks per day, usually one of them is a longer trail walk or to the offleash dog park. Your dog will get plenty of exercise. If they are older or don’t need as much exercise, I would do shorter/separate walks. I work from home part of the week so can keep your pup with me and my dog coqui, we typically walk a few times a day and one of them on the longer side. I can crate your dog or let them hang out with coqui. Usually he’s in an enclosed space with me while I’m working. Dogs are allowed on the furniture.
“Tim provided wonderful care for my puppy during a difficult time. They understood her needs, communicated clearly, were really respectful of my home. I noticed that they remembered specific concerns I had made sure to keep those im mind. I also appreciated the thoughtful pictures they sent and their intentionality in the details they provided about how the care went and how much puppy was doing. Thank you, Tim!”

“Adam was great with our husky while we were out. He took her on long walks, was timely and was very flexible with little adjustments during his visits. We loved his daily updates/photos.”

About: Spending time with animals has always been one of my greatest joys. I’ve had pets all my life—cats and my own dog—and even without one in my current apartment, I stay closely connected through a few long-standing clients whose homes and pets I’ve cared for over the past ten years. I’ve said goodbye to some of their longtime companions and now care for the new animals who have joined their families. My Rover availability is limited, and I take on only a small number of additional stays so every animal receives my full attention. love all animals, but dogs hold a special place for me. Their calm, steady presence brings out the best in me—lifting my mood, grounding my energy, and reminding me of what matters. They also make wonderful companions for my active, nature-filled lifestyle. I work for a small biotech startup and also run a life-coaching practice, which gives me a flexible and balanced schedule. I genuinely enjoy staying in new homes and exploring different neighborhoods with a furry companion by my side. During the week, I keep a regular gym routine, and many of my weekends are spent climbing in Yosemite—a reminder of how much I love nature and being outdoors. I maintain an active daily walking routine that your dog will happily join, and together we can explore nearby parks, beaches, and all the beauty the Bay Area has to offer. When I’m home, I’m quiet and content with a good book or cooking a simple meal, and I’m always glad to offer a comfortable lap to any cat who wants it. As a former homeowner and someone who regularly cares for friends’ homes over major holidays, I understand what it takes to look after someone’s space respectfully and responsibly. I’m clean, organized, and communicative, and I treat every home I stay in with the same attention and care I would expect for my own. I’m happy to provide updates as often—or as little—as you prefer. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I split my time between working from home and going into my nearby office for a few hours when needed. I typically take dogs for a morning walk before starting my workday and another in the afternoon. I do go to the gym in the late afternoon for about two hours, so there’s a window when I’m away, but the rest of my schedule is flexible and allows me to be consistently present and attentive with the animals I care for. When I stay in a client’s home, I follow the routine their pet already knows—regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I keep the home clean, organized, and treat it with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I provide updates as often as clients prefer, and I make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and well-attended to throughout the stay.
“Zsa-zsa is phenomenal and did a great job caring for my old dog while I was out of town. She is communicative and kind and clearly has a way with the four-legged among us. She'll be our go-to-gal from here on out!”

“Victoria is a great communicator and did a fantastic job. My puppy still has a lot to learn and loose leash walking can be a lot of work. I really appreciate that Victoria was patient, understood my puppy's challenges (leash pulling), and worked to help her overcome (changing direction, etc).”

“Tyler takes such great care of my fur-girls. He’s friendly, responsive, and flexible. I’ll continue asking him for walks and would definitely recommend him to any pet owner looking for a responsible pet caregiver!”

“Emily is so lovely! She is very patient, flexible and clearly works very well with dogs of all temperaments. One of my dogs is a bit of a special one-requires a specific approach and Emily was very easy to chat with and willing to take on a bit of a challenge. She was super friendly and sent amazing pictures of the pups. It was my first time trying Rover and I will definitely do it again, especially with Emily!”

“Shelly did a great job with our needy little princess. Our dog can be shy with new people and get into trouble on walks but she handled it well and was very flexible with schedule changes.”

“Esteban is the best! I was very afraid I would not find anyone to walk Piper as she is strong and slightly dog selective. Also certain dog folks do not want to walk her with a muzzle which is confusing to me, he has no issues with it. Esteban came for a meet and greet and it was a great fit! Piper has come home happy and exhausted! Can’t wait to grow our relationship with him! He’s the best!”

“I can’t recommend Karly enough. She is quick to respond, always on time, and my pup loves walking with her! She has even been able to accommodate last minute requests on such a short notice. I can relax a bit at work knowing my pup is in good hands when she is scheduled to walk with Karly.”

About: I’ve always had at least one dog in my home and am happy to care for yours! I recently moved from Seattle area and I’m unemployed for a few weeks so I have plenty of time to dedicate. Walking dogs also seems like a great way to explore the city. I’ve had many experiences w/ behavior challenged pups and/or rescue animals. I have spent my fair share of time with nervous and aggressive dogs and although I love them dearly I would prefer to keep to drop-in/walk visits for such pups as I have occasional visitors and a dog of my own. My pup Luna and I frequent dog parks and local trails often and we love furry friends! I have a nursing schedule so my days off are completely free. Plenty of time for green lake, discovery park and dog parks just to list a few of the favorites. We are a very relaxed pet family with one dog. Shedding and messes are not uncommon and not a problem. Happy to host when possible.

Haylee did an amazing job with our dog, Potter! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about him as if he were her own. It’s obvious that Haylee genuinely loves animals and takes the time to make them feel safe and cared for. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

It was wonderful to be able to count on Natalie to help us with three walks over the holiday weekend! Our dog, Grover, is anxious around new people and dog reactive. Natalie was happy to take things very slowly with him until he was comfortable and gave me lots of updates. She definitely went the extra mile (sometimes literally) to make sure he got out on a nice walk and was well taken care of. It was a huge relief to find someone we could trust, which allowed me to relax while away. We will definitely be reaching out to Natalie soon to book more walks!

Enzo is a gem! I appreciated their flexibility to arrange a meet and greet since my dog is selective about the dogs she likes. One thing that struck me on Enzo's profile was that they understand the importance of mental enrichment and positive reinforcement for dogs; Enzo's pup Arlo seems super smart and engaged and I'm excited for Naya to be cared for by someone so invested in dog behavior and science. Naya's first walk with Enzo and Arlo reassured me that Enzo would be an excellent, attentive caregiver for Naya. I look forward to working with Enzo more!

My dog looooooved her walk with Sydney! The pictures and videos Sydney sent us were so sweet and our dog looked so happy. Sydney was super communicative and let us know when she had mila, how they were doing on their walk, and when mila was back home. It was also a really hot day and Sydney was very patient and accommodating for our senior tripod! Can’t wait to continue with Sydney :)
