“Rover review - Feb 14-15, 2026 Responsible, trustworthy, tidy, conscientious, funny, accommodating, and highly communicative, I would absolutely book Qishu again in future. Our kitties took to her right away (even our skittish one). We were only away for 1 night but Qishu sent frequent text updates throughout the day, which put us at ease so we could enjoy our time away. She takes great pics and videos, in which we could tell our girls were being very well taken care of and appreciated, and not missing us in the least. In less than 24 hours Qishu managed to play with our high-energy 8-month old to the point of getting her tired enough to pant (as requested), and to gain the trust of our skittish 1-year old, enough to be petted until she was purring and rolling around on the floor, showing belly. This was not requested nor expected; even our closest friends (who our cats have known since they were kittens) haven’t been able to get that close to her! Qishu went the extra mile without our asking, and the results were incredible. When we got home, Cricket and Jiji were happy and relaxed, as if we had never left at all. The house was clean and in order. We have some more travel dates later this year and are crossing our fingers that we will be able to have Qishu look after our girls again. 🤞🏼 Thanks Qishu! You rock! 🤘🏼🎸🤘🏼”

“I’ve had Barbara house sit with my animals two times now, and she has been communicative and helpful each time. I was running around before my trip and I forgot to leave her instructions in my home, but she was super understanding and helpful when I reached out with notes on medication and food. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Chloe was amazing!! They stayed with my senior cat for a week and kept my all my plants (indoor and outdoor) alive and thriving. They were very communicative and detail oriented also sent pictures and updates morning and night. The house looked even better then when I left it and my cat didn’t even seem to notice I was gone. I would definitely recommend Chloe for any of your pet or plant needs! Thank you Chloe!!”

“Cara did such a wonderful job taking care of my 4 cats and dog while I was away. She was communicative, thoughtful, and sent lots of updates and photos that made me feel so much more relaxed. My dog Maverick is usually very nervous around strangers, but he really warmed up to her by the end, which says a lot. I came home to very happy, well cared for pets and I’d absolutely trust her with them again.”

“Absolutely wonderful pet sitter! They took such great care of Nash and sent me tons of pictures, which I loved. Nash got to go to all the parks, spend time with his best friends, and clearly had an amazing time. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, active, and so well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely use them again and again. Highly recommend!”

“Laura’s first time dog sitting for us went smoothly. This was an overnight trip. She sent us photo updates and was responsive when we texted to check in. When we got home, the house was tidy, their water bowls were filled, and Cannoli and Da Vinci were in good spirits. We’ve booked Laura for an extended stay while we’re on an international trip. Thanks, Laura!”

About: I offer a quieter, more individualized kind of dog sitting. I only take dogs from one household at a time, so your dog won’t be sharing the space with a rotating group of other dogs. That allows me to give them a lot of individual attention and to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I’m a licensed acupuncturist and a therapist in training, so being reliable and observant is a big part of my professional life. I’m also very conscientious about following your instructions closely. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. Pet care fits best into my schedule on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, walks, companionship, and a relaxed home environment. I’m generally available from Friday evening through Sunday and can often accommodate weekend boarding or daytime care. During the week I work a regular professional schedule, so I’m intentional about only accepting bookings when I know I can provide the time and attention a pet needs. When a dog is staying with me, I want them to be part of my routine rather than squeezed into it. I take safety and trust seriously and make a point of following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment and make sure dogs have appropriate supervision, regular walks and potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention. I’m careful about feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and any behavioral or health concerns you share with me. I also like to know about a dog’s personality, triggers, routines, and preferences ahead of time so I can help them feel comfortable and settled. If I’m caring for a pet in your home, I’m respectful of your space and follow your instructions closely. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

“Kat took great care of my dogs and my house while I was on vacation for 32 days. It was a big relief to know my dogs were safe and well cared for. I don’t travel much but I would be happy to use her services again.”

“Dennis did an awesome job caring for our special needs dog who suffers from DM. Our dog needs the assistance of a wheelchair for mobility, and Dennis took on the challenge confidently- with patience and understanding. He sent plenty of pictures and updates, and followed our instructions perfectly. I highly recommend!”

“Agnes is friendly attentive responsible and communicative. Our pets and our home were respected, very well cared, for during our week away. We would be happy to have Agnes in our home and caring for our pets again!”

“Ryan is an exceptional pet sitter. He’s professional diligent friendly and he loves animals. Our dog Sammy is very particular about whom he likes and Sammy loves Ryan. It’s very hard for me to leave my dog when we travel. However I never worry when Ryan is caring for him. When we return it’s obvious Sammy has been well cared for and well loved by Ryan.”

“Matt is always great with our dog, Elliott. He was very responsible with Elliott's medication schedule and attentive to his emotional needs. I'll be re-booking Matt for our next trip as well. Thank you, Matt!”

“I had Esteban house sit to look after my big, rambunctious dog Sable for 6 days. Not only did Esteban take amazing care of my dog, he left the house in incredible condition. All my dog’s needs were met, and he sent regular pupdates. I’m a very anxious person and it was my first time using Rover, but Esteban put me at ease and I am so glad I decided to go with him. I would 100% use Esteban again if I ever leave town. I believe it’s safer and easier on my dog than boarding her at a dog hotel. You da man, Esteban!”

“Wow! What an incredible sitter Hong was. This is the first time I have ever been away from my fur babies and not worried once. She was so communicative the entire time and I came back to happy dogs and a pristine house. If I could give her 10 stars I would! Thank you again Hong. ❤️”

“Haniya took care of our 2 kitties and pup overnight. She was very communicative, sending photos and updates and quick to text back when we reached out. Haniya was great managing all 3 of the pets and their needs, including giving insulin and oral medicine to one of our kitties and a pill to our pup. We came home to happy animals and a clean home!”

“Kasey is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about animals. She cared for our 3 cats and stayed at our home while we were overseas for a couple weeks. We felt comfortable the entire time, honestly the most relaxed we’ve ever been leaving our cats. This was hands down the best catsitting experience we’ve had. Highly recommend! We will be booking her for future sits.”

“Angela was amazing! She offered to do a meet and greet before sitting, which was perfect for my dog who is a little wary of new people. I also got plenty of updates and pictures. And I was able to enjoy my time away worry free because she was in such good hands.”

“Ida and Travis were amazing to work with! They sent tons of cute photos of my cats, were the best communicators, and even left my home cleaner than they found it. They were very attentive to learning about my cats' needs and managing challenges like my sticky front door key. I'd definitely use them again!”

We originally had Maya walk our golden retriever and she did an excellent job with that so we decided to have her dogsit when we went out of town. We've now had her dogsit for us twice and she's done an absolutely perfect job both times. We come home to a clean house and happy dog every time.

Robert stayed in my home and took care of our dog Llama for about a week and a half. It was our first time using him as a sitter for Llama, and everything went great. Robert was very thorough and detailed in our meet and greet, and Llama took to him right away. He also offered to come and do a test walk with us before we left on our trip which was awesome. He was responsive and sent updates each time we asked. Llama was very well cared for and stress free when we arrived back home. We would definitely recommend Robert to anyone looking for a sitter for their pup (or other critter)

Summer was amazing! Our shy dog had a wonderful time going on long walks and hikes and getting lots of belly rubs. Summer also kept us reassured with great, open communication and lots of pics of our dog and two cats, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend!

We are so grateful we found Tommy! He stayed overnight to take care of our 2 kitties and pup. One of our cats has a lot of health conditions, and it's a bit of a complicated routine. Tommy was able to give insulin and multiple medications during the stay. He was an excellent communicator and we felt safe knowing he was with our babies.

From our initial meet and greet, Manuel’s communication was prompt, clear, and great, which immediately made us feel comfortable leaving Hampton in his care. Hampton had a vet appointment the day of the sitting and was still coming down from the effects of sedation, and Manuel handled him with such patience and care. Hampton also requires several medications on a regular schedule, and Manuel didn’t flinch. He made sure everything was given as instructed and really showed that he cared about keeping Hampton comfortable and safe. Manuel communicated with us regularly throughout the stay and sent pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. He even got up around 3 AM to let Hampton outside—which is totally Hampton being Hampton 😂. He can be a bit of a rebel and was probably trying to look for us! Manuel took it all in stride. He was attentive, reliable, caring, communicative, and everything you could ask for in a sitter. We felt completely comfortable knowing Hampton was in great hands and would absolutely recommend Manuel.
