About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

About: I was a dog walker in Philadelphia for a year, and I grew up with dogs of all sizes, from miniature schnauzers to great danes. I also worked as a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital for 4 years, caring for dogs and administering meds, and at a wildlife rehabilitation center for 2 years. Additionally, I used to be a wildlife biologist, but switched careers; now I'm an environmental journalist. I'm also a big-time runner, and would be happy to take your dog out on awesome running adventures or walks on lovely trails across this beautiful city.
“Cesar went above and beyond looking after our high-energy Dutchie, Meli. We were away for 10 days, and Meli had a great time. They went on long walks, adventures to Point Isabel, Fort Funston, and lots of ball-playing at the park. Cesar was a very welcome house guest, keeping everything clean and tidy while we were gone. “I can’t say enough about how great Kasey was watching over my 2 rambunctious kittens, but also my apartment. The place was super clean when I returned, maybe even more clean than how I left it. She was extremely responsive and gave me bi-daily updates with photos and videos of how they were doing. She played with them, cuddled with them, and genuinely enjoyed their company. Sara was a wonderful cat sitter! This was the longest I’d ever been away from my cat Hopper but she put my mind at ease - Sara was a great communicator, sent cute photo and video updates, and kept on top of Hopper’s health. She also took great care of my apartment. Hopper definitely has a new bestie. I’d highly recommend booking with Sara!
Elisa was wonderful with our Chow Chow, Poppy. Chows can be a little reserved with new people, but Elisa was incredibly patient, calm, and understanding, which helped Poppy feel comfortable. She kept us updated with messages and photos throughout the stay, and it was clear Poppy was well cared for and happy. She also took great care of our home and was thoughtful, reliable, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. We came home to a relaxed dog and everything exactly as we left it, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Feel so lucky to have found Rich! He took wonderful care of my dog, Tova. He sent daily photos and I knew she was in good hands while I was away. I came back home to a clean house and a thorough report on Tova’s behavior. Rich clearly loves animals and has a keen sense of their needs.
Tenzin stayed at my place and took care of my rescue dog for the weekend. She left my home even cleaner than she found it and truly went above and beyond with housekeeping. She did everything I asked in caring for my dog, but it's difficult to speak to how the stay actually went because there was little communication during or after the stay about how my dog was doing, how they bonded, and if there were any challenges or notable moments. That said, she was responsive when I reached out during the stay and got the sense that things went smoothly.
Adela has watched out two cats a few times now and she’s always so wonderful! She answers messages quickly, sends lots of pictures and follows all their care instructions so well ❤️✨she also house sits for us and sleeps overnight at the house to make sure its secure and our boys are safe! We highly reccommend her! ✨
Bryanna was A-MAZ-ZING. she sent me multiple updates a day along with photos and videos. My kitty can get sad and low energy when I travel, so it was so nice to see her engage burger with playtime and toys! My house was super clean after she left so will 100% be hiring Bryanna again!
Emilia and Ion are a super team! They do a great job for our weekly walks and an even better job as house & pet sitters! They visiting our two dogs 4x daily and generously kept them company inbetween visits too! They even watered our garden! I couldn’t ask for a single thing more in a sitter and will definitely be using them again
Rob was the BEST sitter. He went above and beyond in every respect -- from meeting the girls twice before his sit to make sure they were comfortable with him, to sending us pics and updates throughout his stay, to making sure our home was perfect upon our arrival, he exceeded our expectations. Our girls loved him, and they were happy, well exercised, and healthy when we got home. Definitely would recommend Rob as a doggy sitter for everyone!

Valerie was of tremendous assistance to me during a family emergency. Valerie house sat for me and was very respectful of my space. She was very responsive and communicative in taking care of my trio, which includes my deaf dog. I would highly recommend her for any pet care needs. I will definitely book her again as the need, and her availability, arises.

He asks lots of good questions and always follows any special instructions for our dogs, one being old and needing various medications, and one being very high energy and sometimes reactive.
