“Rover review - Feb 14-15, 2026 Responsible, trustworthy, tidy, conscientious, funny, accommodating, and highly communicative, I would absolutely book Qishu again in future. Our kitties took to her right away (even our skittish one). We were only away for 1 night but Qishu sent frequent text updates throughout the day, which put us at ease so we could enjoy our time away. She takes great pics and videos, in which we could tell our girls were being very well taken care of and appreciated, and not missing us in the least. In less than 24 hours Qishu managed to play with our high-energy 8-month old to the point of getting her tired enough to pant (as requested), and to gain the trust of our skittish 1-year old, enough to be petted until she was purring and rolling around on the floor, showing belly. This was not requested nor expected; even our closest friends (who our cats have known since they were kittens) haven’t been able to get that close to her! Qishu went the extra mile without our asking, and the results were incredible. When we got home, Cricket and Jiji were happy and relaxed, as if we had never left at all. The house was clean and in order. We have some more travel dates later this year and are crossing our fingers that we will be able to have Qishu look after our girls again. 🤞🏼 Thanks Qishu! About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

My husband and I are always hesitant and nervous when we leave our Great Dane alone because he gets a little depressed and usually won’t eat because of separation anxiety or that the care taker will spoil him like we do. When we left for the night he had already snuggled up to her and had his two full meals like we didn’t matter lol. We were so happy that we found someone that our dog was so comfortable with. Shivani has a very calming energy that relaxed our dog and treated him like we would, which made us grateful. Don’t hesitate at all in booking her. She’s pure magic.”

Not only did Josie take great care of Bowie, but also went above and beyond by picking him up from the previous sitter that gave her the wrong pickup instructions, persevered to find and pick up Bowie, and took him to the vet to make sure Bowie is okay due to our worries with the previous sitter, all with amazing communication and accommodating last minute requests. We later found out that Josie‘s perseverance and undeterred help might have saved Bowie‘s life. She even nursed Bowie back to health by encouraging him to eat and giving lots of love. Josie was also super respectful and tidy with our apartment while sitting Bowie at our place. She even stayed with Bowie for 8 hours every day to make sure that Bowie gets enough play, attention, and love. She even made a great effort to clean the little accident Bowie had when he wasn’t feeling well. She sent plenty of updates with Bowie and took great care of our dog. We are eternally grateful to Josie and would recommend her to everyone.”

About: I was a dog walker in Philadelphia for a year, and I grew up with dogs of all sizes, from miniature schnauzers to great danes. I also worked as a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital for 4 years, caring for dogs and administering meds, and at a wildlife rehabilitation center for 2 years. Additionally, I used to be a wildlife biologist, but switched careers; now I'm an environmental journalist. I'm also a big-time runner, and would be happy to take your dog out on awesome running adventures or walks on lovely trails across this beautiful city.

“Cesar did a great job on the almost week long housesit! All the pets seemed happy and healthy when I got home (including the asthmatic cat). He clearly walked/ played with the highish energy German shepherd mix really well, since she settled down a lot faster than usual when I returned home. Cesar was very communicative and we got lots of photo and videos updates of the pets. I really appreciated how thorough he was during the meet and greet. He has a lot of very thoughtful questions prepared. Cesar was able to handle a minor home maintenance issue that popped up due to an overactive earthquake gas shut off valve, saving us a plumber visit on a holiday weekend. He also did a great job cleaning up after himself.”
