“Hollie was very flexible about my return timing and did a good job of keeping Sheba on schedule for food and walks. She also shared updates to keep me informed while I was gone, which I really appreciated.”

“I’ve had Barbara house sit with my animals two times now, and she has been communicative and helpful each time. I was running around before my trip and I forgot to leave her instructions in my home, but she was super understanding and helpful when I reached out with notes on medication and food. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.
“Tami stayed with my two cats for one week and she made my time away stress free. She was in communication multiple times daily to let me know what they were up to and sent lots of pictures. When I got home at the end of the week, the cats were relaxed and happy. No problems at all. I highly recommend Tami!”

“Nicole took such great care of my dog while I was out. From the initial booking request through the end of her stay, she responded quickly and provided updates and photos. I returned home to a clean house and of course, a happy and relaxed dog. I would not hesitate to hire Nicole again in the future.”

“Matt is always great with our dog, Elliott. He was very responsible with Elliott's medication schedule and attentive to his emotional needs. I'll be re-booking Matt for our next trip as well. Thank you, Matt!”

“I can’t say enough about how great Kasey was watching over my 2 rambunctious kittens, but also my apartment. The place was super clean when I returned, maybe even more clean than how I left it. She was extremely responsive and gave me bi-daily updates with photos and videos of how they were doing. She played with them, cuddled with them, and genuinely enjoyed their company. And my kittens absolutely loved her. I felt so at ease being out of town. 10/10 I would hire her again to watch my cats and apartment. Thank you Kasey!”

“Sara took great care of my dog, Bodie! She helped me in an emergency and was very communicative and kind. She left my apartment very clean and I’d love to have her watch bodie again!”
“Skyler has house/dog sat for us twice now. He asks lots of good questions and always follows any special instructions for our dogs, one being old and needing various medications, and one being very high energy and sometimes reactive. He gives updates and responds readily to messages. I trust him with our dogs and our house, and will request him again!”

“Book her without hesitation! It was the first time that my husband and I were having a dog sitter over our house so we were a little anxious, but Melina was extremely kind and helpful. She was sending a lot of pictures and updates of our puppy while my partner and I were out. Our little Sansa loved her! Plus she gave us a lot of advices about training and puppy behavior! THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

“Tim is amazing! Would rebook him anytime. Super detailed about care and directions, great updates and just overall made me feel at ease about leaving Louie, who has some senior special needs, in his care. It’s hard to find people that are as kind and thoughtful about your pet and home, but Tim is that person. Thank you so much.”

“Sam is fantastic, a true master communicator with dogs. She adores living their lives with them, taking them out on the trails and playing their favorite games. Couldn’t be happier to leave our pup in her hands when we’re out of town.”

“Courtney is an EXCELLENT dog/house sitter! She took great care of my dog and apartment while I was away. Total professional, would absolutely recommend to anyone”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. Calm, trust and safety are my top priorities. I hope you give me the chance to connect with you and your fur baby/ babies. I work from home. I normally take Hera on a walk every morning for about 30 mins. Come back and hit the gym. After that I’m free. I can always head over in the am, afternoon or evenings. I have a fenced yard, Herita is spayed and loves to play with other dogs. Her bff is a 3 y/o Doberman. Which I take care of a couple of times a week (take her out on walks and feed her)

About: Ever since I was a kid, I've loved animals. Growing up, my family had both cats and dogs, and I always enjoyed getting to know their unique personalities. I spent time playing with them, caring for them, and even drawing them. In 2014, I adopted my first pet as an adult, Momo, a sweet cat with short legs and a big personality. In 2020, our family grew again with Oogi, a playful corgi. Through caring for them, I gained years of hands-on experience with feeding routines, exercise, enrichment, grooming, training, and veterinary care. Oogi and I completed multiple training classes together, and I spent time learning about dog behavior and body language to better understand and communicate with dogs. I also cared for Momo throughout his senior years, including administering medications and supporting him through medical treatments. As a home-based artist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I understand how important pets are because mine have always been family, and I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and respect I would want for my own. As a home-based artist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. My days typically include working from home, which means I can provide regular attention, companionship, walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines and provide updates so you can feel confident while you're away. I understand that every pet and household is unique. Before each booking, I take time to learn your pet's routines, preferences, medications, and any special instructions. I pay close attention to safety, keep doors and gates secure, monitor behavior and health, and make sure pets receive the care and attention they need. I treat every home with respect and will provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you're away.
“I've had Francesca house sit my two pitbulls twice and she's been great both times. She understands how to take care of my frail, elderly dog as well as my reactive 5 year old. And she responds quickly to my questions.”

“We are so fortunate to have found Linett!! Linett is so loving with our two dogs and we were relaxed on vacation knowing that she was taking care of them and our house. Linett is an excellent communicator, highly professional -- and an obvious animal lover :). She took care of every detail and sent amazing photos and videos so we knew exactly how things were going. Our dogs clearly had a very fun time. We are looking forward to having her house sit next time we are away.”

Hong recently house-sat for us again (this time on short notice for a day trip) and once again came through flawlessly. As a repeat sitter, she already knew Winnie’s routine and it showed; everything went smoothly and we came home to a happy, well-exercised pup. It’s such a relief to have someone this reliable and accommodating on call. Highly recommend Hong, especially if you need a sitter who can step in quickly!

Sophia watched our home and pets for almost two weeks and we could not be happier with the level of care and communication she provided. She brought our dog some extra puzzle toys to keep her busy and put together kongs for her. She also bonded with our particular cat and gave her lots of attention and brushing. Sophia sent photos and updates every day and took care with lots of updates when our dog had some soreness in her feet and legs. Our house was also super tidy when we got home. Can’t recommend Sophia highly enough!

Moana sprained her leg just a day before Elisa was booked to house sit, but Elisa didn't even flinch and just showed up ready to take copious notes about our adjusted care instructions. She sent detailed reports each day with captioned pictures so we were constantly at ease and able to enjoy our time away knowing our baby was in the best hands. So grateful to have found Elisa ❤️❤️❤️

Sara took on a last minute sit to watch my two dogs. She met us the day before. She is very warm, communicates well, and I could tell right away that she is good with dogs! My puppy can be challenging since he has a lot of energy and hides when it’s time to walk but she was able deal with his quirks. She sent photos daily which I loved getting. She did a great job and I would definitely recommend her!

Victoria is absolutely wonderful. She house sat for our sweet 9.5 year old pup. We could not be happier. Her communication was excellent. Tons of updates and photos. Our house was impeccable when we returned. Most importantly our dog was healthy and happy. It’s clear that Victoria gave her tons of love while we were away. Highly recommended.

Matt stayed at our house for 9 days while we were on vacation and took exceptional care of Remy and our house. It was really comforting to know she was getting regular walks and and a steady companion. Valuable peace of mind for me and our family while away. So glad we found him!
