About: Hi, we’re Olive and Charlie! We’re both a little obsessed with dogs, honestly — the kind of people who cross the street to say hi to someone’s dog. We each grew up caring for family dogs into their senior years, which taught us a lot about patience and paying close attention — noticing when a dog needs an easy day, or extra reassurance, or just to be left alone with their favorite spot on the couch. Those years shaped how we care for dogs now. These days we’re the go-to sitters for our friends’ dogs, and we’re in the thick of raising our own pup, Pigeon, who just turned one. Living with a curious, occasionally chaotic one-year-old has kept us sharp on positive training methods and reminded us daily that every dog has their own personality and pace — some want to run around and play, some want quiet company, some just want to know someone’s nearby. Your dog gets real attention and companionship, not just a quick check-in between long stretches alone. Our home is a calm, pet-friendly space — we keep it tidy, hazard-free, and easy for a visiting dog to settle into. Since we’re both home most of the day, your dog is never left unsupervised for long. We know that being in a new environment can be stressful, so we always give new dogs time to adjust at their own pace. We’ll get them settled into a cozy, smaller space with their comfort items or crate first, letting them decompress before exploring more of the home. We pay close attention to body language and stress signals and never rush a dog to warm up before they’re ready. For drop-in visits, we treat your home with the same care we’d want for our own. We follow your routines, stick to your dog’s schedule, and send photo updates so you always know how things are going and can see your pup happy and comfortable. Additionally we have a porch patio with a grass patch for pottying!

About: *I only board pets from one home at a time and do not own any pets myself!* I love to jog around Lake Merritt, and I'd be happy to take your fur baby along for a run! I've cared for dogs and cats, healthy and sick, with very specific dietary restrictions and activity needs. I wish I could have my own pet, but since I travel pretty often, this is the next best thing. :-) I’m a Product Manager with a hybrid work schedule. Rest assured, I can easily get from work to home on in-office days for walks/drop-ins if needed. I also work at a dog friendly office. I am available most days for drop-ins 2x/day. On weekday evenings, I typically go on runs (with/without dogs!). Expect many photos of your fur baby while you're away! I'm happy to drop in to check on food, water, litter (for cats), and take your pup on walks. I am very detail oriented, so if you have very particular instructions regarding diet or preferences while outside, you can trust me to follow them. For boarding, I have bowls for water and food as well as doggy waste bags. You would need to provide their food, treats, toys, (litter for kitties), and anything else to make their stay more comfortable!

When we picked her up, she was relaxed and, while happy to see us, would have been fine hanging out longer. This stay was just a few hours so we could go out to dinner, but I would bring Koa back for a longer stay.”

About: I've always loved dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether that's going for walks, playing, or just keeping them company. I know every dog has a different personality and routine, so I take the time to make sure they're comfortable and cared for the way they're used to. I work from home three times a week which gives me more time to care for pups. This is something that allows me more flexibility with care needs. I do not have any other pets in the home which allows your pet to have all my attention, therefore meeting whatever need they may have.
