About: I have experience with cats who are particularly anxious, I am able to provide much more than just feeding and regular care tasks. I have experience with emotional regulation for anxious cats and dogs , and I’m able to provide extra attention through extended stays, diverse kinds of play, and overnight care. I also have prior experience with elderly dogs who need special accommodation. I work only 2 days a week, and have a very open flexible schedule at the moment. I can provide a wide range of services, my most notable experience is working with anxious pets who need extra attention and love! For dogs, I prefer to take dogs on multiple walks (ideally 3 walks per day) to encourage lots of activity, I can encourage socializing if needed. For cats, I love to drop in and play, give affection or just coexist as needed!
About: I’ve had dogs for years and always look forward to help friends and family look after their pets. I enjoy looking after and bathing animals. I myself have 3 dogs and 3 guinea pigs so I genuinely love caring for animals. I work part time during nights so I’m available all day every day to love and care for your pets. I’m also in school but it’s mostly online. I follow instructions when caring for pets in other peoples homes because it’s their home so I want them to be comfortable and trust me coming into their space.
“Adam was great with our husky while we were out. He took her on long walks, was timely and was very flexible with little adjustments during his visits. We loved his daily updates/photos.”

About: I've been taking care of pups and kitties since I was about 8 yrs old! I've learned how to identify triggers and/or warning signs with this experience. Hello ☺️ I just moved to the Bay Area and I'm a pawrent to one pup and two kitties! I just got my degree in Video Production/Film and will be freelancing when I can, which means my schedule is very open!! My current availability for drop-in visits and pup walking is Monday- Sunday 6am-10pm, unless it's a blocked out date. I would prefer to have a meet & greet before any booking. This helps me understand how to properly care for each pet. I always want to make sure that each furry friend, fur parent, and myself feels comfortable before hand. Whenever I drop in to visit, I make sure to do what ever is asked in regards to caring for your furry babies! Potty breaks. Making sure they are fed. Cuddle sessions! And of course making sure that I leave everything how it was before I arrived.
“Victoria is a great communicator and did a fantastic job. My puppy still has a lot to learn and loose leash walking can be a lot of work. I really appreciate that Victoria was patient, understood my puppy's challenges (leash pulling), and worked to help her overcome (changing direction, etc).”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and personalities for over three years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I have experience following feeding schedules, giving basic care, and providing extra attention to puppies and senior dogs. I always treat pets as if they were my own. I’m currently a nursing student, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available during weekdays and weekends and can adjust my routine to fit your pet’s needs. I enjoy spending quality time with pets, making sure they get attention, playtime, and consistent care throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special needs. I keep a clean, calm environment and make sure pets are always supervised and secure. As a nursing student, I’m attentive, responsible, and comfortable monitoring behavior changes and overall well-being. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and love.
“Elyse was amazing! Our normal dog walker bailed on us last minute, so we needed someone fast. Elyse went above and beyond making sure our dogs were comfortable with her and had great communication with us. She is super sweet and our pitties love her!!!”

About: I have had and cared for pets since childhood, rescuing (literally from the streets) a lovely pitbull named Olive when I lived in Philadelphia. Moved to CA in May 2026 from East Coast. I recently moved to CA to support my wife’s new job in SF. I have a fully open schedule at the moment and with a love of animals I thought that this would be a better way to learn and love my new community than digging through online job ads. I am willing to sit, play, walk, feed and care for your pets as needed. I’m an active (formerly collegiate) runner and can go as fast or slowly as your pet needs. I have reliable transportation and experience in pet first aid as I recently completed my tenure as an Emergency Manager with the American Red Cross.
About: First time booking with Rover? Use this promo code for $20 off: QISHUZ24398 Hi there! My name's Qishu (🔑👟). I moved to Oakland in 2023 to pursue a new dream - chiropractic medicine (for animals and humans)! I'm currently a full-time student and will be until the end of 2027. I was previously a sales engineer with IBM. I'd love to help all the cat and dog mamas/papas out here just as I had in Boulder, CO and, before that, Chicago, IL. I grew up with dogs since the age of 8 - mixed breeds, yorkies, labs, pitbulls, shepherds, terriers, corgis, chihuahuas, frenchies.. the list goes on!! One of the moments that confirmed I’d always want to work with animals was in college, when I helped care for my roommate’s pitbull/red heeler mix, Bridget. She is the sweetest girl, though she struggled with anxiety and health issues. Her teeth were worn down from chewing rocks in her past life, and she’d carry a little blanket around whenever she felt distressed. With her special diet, supplements, and medications, Bridget taught me what it meant to truly care for a soul who’d been through so much. That experience deepened my love and empathy for all animals in a way that’s stayed with me ever since. I would be honored to give your pets the love, exercise, and attention they deserve while you're away! I'm a huge advocate for providing pets with a great quality of life - more than just basic food and shelter. I'm happy to do any small extraneous tasks like getting the mail, watering plants, etc. Just let me know in advance! For my cat parents out there: Because of my 3 kids (Kina, Nemr, & Freyja) and a short stint fostering, I'm seasoned in all things cat/kitten: socializing, changing litter, oral admin of meds, treating fleas, bathing, nail trimming, de-shedding, training (sit, high-five, stand, turn-around, kiss). Since I’m a full-time student, my Rover calendar is currently limited to weekends and school breaks. That said, many families are comfortable having my partner, Ian, join when he’s available—which allows for a little more flexibility with scheduling. It’s a wonderful setup because Ian works from home (and is basically a dog at heart!), so your pets will almost always have company and care. Rest assured, it will only be me caring for your pets unless we’ve discussed and agreed otherwise. I’m also happy to bring Ian to our meet & greet and provide references upon request! I am responsible for creating a safe space for pets in their home. I make sure that they are comfortable and their boundaries are respected and understood with the guidance of their body language and the wisdom from their humans. All animals deserve patience, love, and empathy.
About: I give a lot of attention and follow instruction very well. I have cared for dogs my whole life, I also own a reactive dog that has special training needs. I’m experienced with dog safety and can help continue any training you have started. I’m a freelance illustrator so I have open availability and a lot of attention to give your dog! Looking to create reoccurring clients. I have a reactive dog that I have help taking care of, it is something I care deeply about to give dogs a safe and enriching experience. I genuinely love and care for your animal and would love to hear how best I can assist you. I can’t board animals but I can stay at yours and do overnight stays. I am happy to go on long walks, destination hikes, and assist in any training needs you have. In the home I work from the computer so I am always available for any needs and attention your dog may have.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glenview
Kaya walked our 80lb pittie for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. We appreciated having a walker who could handle a large/strong dog, so my older in-law would not risk getting pulled. She communicated clearly with us while we were away and my in-law reported back that our dog was happy & tired after each walk. Couldn't ask for more.
Jonathan was fantastic with Roman this weekend! His communication was excellent from start to finish. He kept me updated throughout the walk and sent photos and videos so I could see Roman having a great time. He also made sure Roman was fed and taken care of exactly as instructed. It's clear Jonathan genuinely cares about the pets he looks after, and I felt completely at ease knowing Roman was in good hands. Would absolutely book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive rover!

Sydney followed all of the complicated instructions smoothly and handled my dog with separation anxiety gently in her first visit. She met my dog where she was and applied just the right amount of effort to try and get her out. Hopefully Sydney will be able to walk her again, so that they can get to know each other better and the anxiety will melt away. Thank you, Sydney!

Super responsive and communicative!!! It was our first time having Zorah walk our dog that we just adopted. She was comfortable with the fact that we don’t know the dog that well yet — she was willing to answer all sorts of questions about the dog’s behavior and even problem solve live via text! We spoke on the phone afterwards and she was very honest and clear in her communication. I really trust her to take good care of our new furry family member while we are at work.

Nicky has been very patient with Milo and Piper. Our fur babies have warmed up to her in record time, which is due to her being a natural and having a wonderful temperament. Nicky has also been very open minded with us scheduling trial runs so that we’re all feeling good about using Nicky’s services.
