“Arrived on time, very good communication before and after. She gave Barkerini lots of exercise and he loves her. We're very happy with Madeline and will definitely use her again.”

About: Hello dog lovers! I grew up with a yellow lab and have been an animal lover my entire life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I truly believe pets bring a special kind of love into a home and make it feel complete. I’d be honored to care for your dog while you’re away, so you can relax and enjoy your time knowing your beloved pet is safe, happy, and in loving hands. My schedule is currently open! I am flexible and willing to work with you to suit your pets needs. I am located in Fruitvale in Oakland. I have 3 adult cats and 1 foster kitten in my home currently. I have a fenced backyard and many parks nearby that are great for a dog stroll!
About: While you're away, your pup gets to play! I offer in-home dog sitting with a large, secure backyard, daily adventures, and plenty of love and attention. You'll get adorable photo updates so you can see your pup living their best life. Your dog gets more than just a sitter — they get a second home. My base overnight pet sitting experience includes: room service with up to 3 meals per day, administration of up 5 oral medications, 24 hour indoor / outdoor access, daily enrichment - this can be a splash pool or peanut butter kong. Pet sitting add can include: one hour dog walk an off leash dog park adventure. Please ask about add on prices. Stand alone dog walking: At this time, I am happy to announce that I do adventure walks. An adventure walk is a hike either to Point Isabelle or to Oyster Bay in Hayward, depending on which is closer. These adventures happen with a long lead up to 12 feet long or off leash. Off-leash is only available for dogs with perfect recall for their non-primary owners. Depending on the condition of your dog, these adventures can last one to two hours. Transportation costs are included in my pricing. Your friend will have free access to roam indoors and outdoors, sit on couches, or lay in the sun all day. If your dog needs a little bit of quiet time, they can have a private room with an air conditioner on hot days. I provide a pet-friendly house designed just for dogs, offering a cozy and safe home-away-from-home experience. With plenty of space to relax, play, and enjoy one-on-one time, your dog will feel loved and cared for. Let me know if you’d like to include off-leash dog park visits for extra fun or if your pup needs medications administered—I happy to accommodate. I will give your dog the attention and affection they deserve while you’re away!
About: I grew up in a dog-loving family and have cared for dogs and cats my entire life. From a young age I helped with feeding, walking, and general care for several family dogs, so being around animals feels completely natural to me. My own dog, Hoke, a white Jack Russell terrier you’ll see in many of my photos, was with me throughout high school and college. As he got older, I managed his daily needs, including administering medication, monitoring his health, and adjusting his routine to keep him comfortable. That experience made me very attentive to pets’ individual needs, especially seniors or those on meds. Over the years I’ve also pet sat for friends and family, caring for both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, feeding, litter box cleanup, basic leash training, and giving plenty of affection, whether that’s a calm cuddle session or an energetic game of fetch. I’m happy to follow your specific routines and instructions so your pet feels secure and at home. I work full-time remotely from home, which means I can provide consistent attention and frequent check-ins throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and I can be flexible with walk schedules, feeding times, and potty breaks. Whether you need drop-in visits, house sitting, or regular walks, I’m committed to treating your pet like my own and giving them a safe, loving, and fun experience while you’re away. I work from home a couple days a week and my wife works from home all week so we have plenty of time to take care of your dogs. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home—whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them. I follow each pet’s routine, give lots of playtime, walks, and cuddles, and keep water and feeding schedules consistent. I provide regular updates to pet parents, and always keep a close eye to ensure pets are happy and stress-free. Cleanliness and safety are my top priorities—I treat every home and pet with care and respect.
About: Through having dogs myself, dog walking, and taking care of friends dogs for the past 9 years I have experience sitting, walking, and playing with dogs. In the past year I have adopted the sweetest dog named Cariño, a 35 pound terrier mix, and have cared for them through their puppy stages and now into adulthood! I primarily have experience with dogs weighing 10-60 pounds and dogs of all ages. I'm good at taking control of a situation and can also understand when a dog is scared, upset, or just needs a break. I have a car so I can come to you and live walking distance from Lake Merritt. I'm currently working part-time and have plenty of time to go on hikes, walks, or check in on your pup! I am flexible during weekdays and am unavailable on weekends currently. I have experience raising my own currently one and a half year dog. I can easily crate your dog and leave them well-rested. I do not let dogs go outside unleashed unless there are specific instructions to do so. I work part-time and have a flexible schedule so I am happy to make things work with your pet needs whether it's morning, middle of the day, or early evenings. I am not accepting pets in my home because we have a dog and a cat who are a bit sensitive to other pet friends.
About: What sets me apart is my background caring for both children and pets. I’ve spent many years babysitting and working with families, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to stay calm and attentive. I bring that same level of care to animals by following routines closely, noticing changes in behavior, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m able to fit pet care into my routine consistently and responsibly. I’m used to managing schedules from caring for children and pets, so I make sure visits, feedings, and check-ins are planned and never rushed. I prioritize reliability and follow-through. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on safety, routine, and comfort. I follow feeding schedules, provide regular check-ins, spend quality time with pets, and make sure they feel calm and secure. My background caring for children has made me very attentive, patient, and reliable with responsibilities.
About: Dogs don’t just need someone to feed and walk them—they need someone who gets them. I’ve been the go-to sitter for anxious rescues, picky eaters, zoomie champions, and sleepy senior pups who just want a cuddle buddy. I don’t just show up—I tune in. Whether it’s belly rubs, slow walks, or sticking to a medication schedule, I meet each dog exactly where they are, with love and calm energy. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pup like a beloved family member (not just a task), I’d be honored to be that person. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of availability to love on your pets! I’m open for long walks on weekends and available for short or long walks or drop-ins on weekday afternoons and evenings. I treat pet care as a priority in my weekly rhythm, not just a side task! 🩷 I care for every pet like they’re my own. My home is clean, calm, and fully pet-proofed with a fenced yard for safe outdoor play. I closely follow your pet’s routines—whether that means special feeding instructions, medications, or crate time—to help them feel secure and loved. I also have two gentle, well-socialized dogs who are happy to keep your pup company or stay separate based on your comfort. Clear communication, constant supervision, and a peaceful environment are my non-negotiables.
“Kerri is amazing on walks with our energetic and reactive dog Buster! She's very kind and calm with him, and he responds so well with her. We also appreciate how prompt and communicative Kerri has been.”

“Ananda was amazing - she was really helpful coordinating dates/times, she stopped by early to meet my dog, and she was lovely about keeping me updated with everything! I think she’d be a great sitter or walker that I’d recommend to anyone”

“Monique and Costa took care of my dog for several days and stayed overnight at my house. They were amazing. Monique kept me updated with lots of pictures of their adventures (and even an amazing video!)...they played with him, gave him lots of walks around the city and I know Jax had a blast with them. It is clear they both really know dogs and that made me feel at ease since this was the first time I had left my dog (who has anxiety issues) with someone he didn’t know in a long time. Plus-they worked out a schedule between the two of them where someone could always be with him. I would not hesitate to have them walk or watch Jax anytime. They are top notch!”

“Elyse was amazing! Our normal dog walker bailed on us last minute, so we needed someone fast. Elyse went above and beyond making sure our dogs were comfortable with her and had great communication with us. She is super sweet and our pitties love her!!!”

“Cathy has been walking our anxious little rescue dog for over a year plus house/pet sitting as we’ve needed her. We are always so happy to know we have such a caring person with our pets! She provides such peace of mind. Couldn’t recommend more highly.”

About: Missing my pack! Ready to love yours. Hi Yay Area! I'm a pet lover currently in a (temporary) pet-free zone. Growing up, my home was run by 4 dogs, 2 cats, a cool snake, and a fish tank that was its own little world. I know the joy—and the juggle—of caring for a full house! I'm here to provide reliable, loving care so you can breathe easy. Let's schedule a meet-and-greet to see if your dog and I are instant besties. No pressure, just pets and good vibes. DOG LOVERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! 🐾 I work from home mostly and have the freedom and desire to run errands throughout the day. To me taking care of dogs is the responsibility of everyone in the village. For me and my dog I believe he is at his happiest when he is tired physically and mentally. That means using different puzzles and going on runs.
About: hi there! we are a young couple that grew up with lots of dogs and love having them around. we have been pet sitting since we moved to the bay area (we left our pets back home) and it has been a great way to make extra money and keep dogs around until we can have our own (we travel a lot, so we have not been able to adopt our very own just yet) we are used to host the pets we watch and love having them sharing our space. we are very responsible, very respectful and very caring. we have flexible schedules and are very active so we will make sure your dog gets his energy out. we have lots of references and will be happy to share it with you. my work schedule is from 9am-4pm and my husband has every other week off. During his week off he is free to walk/stop by/watch at our home anytime of the day. We both can be flexible. if I am not available, he probably is available as we have different schedules. we follow the client’s directions on how to take care of their pet. we do not disrespect client rules/directions as we would not like it to be done with us. we are mindful about poisoning food/plants to pets and rearrange what needs to be rearranged before pets' arrival.
Sausal Creek dog parents share their Rover experiences
Yonte took incredibly good care of my dog over an extended period of time and I am very grateful for her support. My dog has some behavioral reactivity and Yonte was willing to put in the time to get to know how best to care for her. She then took care of my dog for several months, going above and beyond to meet her needs for exercise and love. I would trust Yonte with all pet sitting, from short walks to extended stays. She definitely has an intuitive sense with pets and is very loving with them. She is also incredibly kind and easy to work with. I cannot recommend Yonte highly enough for the extraordinary care and love she puts into pet sitting! Thank you, Yonte!

Christine was so helpful with Nara. I had never had a dog walker before and she was so accommodating. My dog was an escape artist and she suggested certain things that might help. She sent lots of pictures that made me feel comfortable when I was at work. I have now put my frisbee escape artist in daycare since she has anxiety about being alone but would use Christine again if the occasion arises.
