About: Through having dogs myself, dog walking, and taking care of friends dogs for the past 9 years I have experience sitting, walking, and playing with dogs. In the past year I have adopted the sweetest dog named Cariño, a 35 pound terrier mix, and have cared for them through their puppy stages and now into adulthood! I primarily have experience with dogs weighing 10-60 pounds and dogs of all ages. I'm good at taking control of a situation and can also understand when a dog is scared, upset, or just needs a break. I have a car so I can come to you and live walking distance from Lake Merritt. I'm currently working part-time and have plenty of time to go on hikes, walks, or check in on your pup! I am flexible during weekdays and am unavailable on weekends currently. I have experience raising my own currently one and a half year dog. I can easily crate your dog and leave them well-rested. I do not let dogs go outside unleashed unless there are specific instructions to do so. I work part-time and have a flexible schedule so I am happy to make things work with your pet needs whether it's morning, middle of the day, or early evenings. I am not accepting pets in my home because we have a dog and a cat who are a bit sensitive to other pet friends.
About: Hello dog lovers! I grew up with a yellow lab and have been an animal lover my entire life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I truly believe pets bring a special kind of love into a home and make it feel complete. I’d be honored to care for your dog while you’re away, so you can relax and enjoy your time knowing your beloved pet is safe, happy, and in loving hands. My schedule is currently open! I am flexible and willing to work with you to suit your pets needs. I am located in Fruitvale in Oakland. I have 3 adult cats and 1 foster kitten in my home currently. I have a fenced backyard and many parks nearby that are great for a dog stroll!
“Kerri is amazing on walks with our energetic and reactive dog Buster! She's very kind and calm with him, and he responds so well with her. We also appreciate how prompt and communicative Kerri has been.”

Boarding walks add ons can include: one hour dog walk an off leash dog park adventure. Stand alone dog walking: At this time, I am happy to announce that I do adventure walks. An adventure walk is a hike either to Point Isabelle or to Oyster Bay in Hayward, depending on which is closer. These adventures happen with a long lead up to 12 feet long or off leash. Off-leash is only available for dogs with perfect recall for their non-primary owners. Depending on the condition of your dog, these adventures can last one to two hours. Transportation costs are included in my pricing. Your friend will have free access to roam indoors and outdoors, sit on couches, or lay in the sun all day. If your dog needs a little bit of quiet time, they can have a private room with an air conditioner on hot days. About: What sets me apart is my background caring for both children and pets. I’ve spent many years babysitting and working with families, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to stay calm and attentive. I bring that same level of care to animals by following routines closely, noticing changes in behavior, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m able to fit pet care into my routine consistently and responsibly. I’m used to managing schedules from caring for children and pets, so I make sure visits, feedings, and check-ins are planned and never rushed. I prioritize reliability and follow-through. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on safety, routine, and comfort. I follow feeding schedules, provide regular check-ins, spend quality time with pets, and make sure they feel calm and secure. My background caring for children has made me very attentive, patient, and reliable with responsibilities.

About: Dogs don’t just need someone to feed and walk them—they need someone who gets them. I’ve been the go-to sitter for anxious rescues, picky eaters, zoomie champions, and sleepy senior pups who just want a cuddle buddy. I don’t just show up—I tune in. Whether it’s belly rubs, slow walks, or sticking to a medication schedule, I meet each dog exactly where they are, with love and calm energy. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pup like a beloved family member (not just a task), I’d be honored to be that person. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of availability to love on your pets! I’m open for long walks on weekends and available for short or long walks or drop-ins on weekday afternoons and evenings. My home is clean, calm, and fully pet-proofed with a fenced yard for safe outdoor play. I closely follow your pet’s routines—whether that means special feeding instructions, medications, or crate time—to help them feel secure and loved. I also have two gentle, well-socialized dogs who are happy to keep your pup company or stay separate based on your comfort. Clear communication, constant supervision, and a peaceful environment are my non-negotiables.
About: Missing my pack! Ready to love yours. Hi Yay Area! I'm a pet lover currently in a (temporary) pet-free zone. Growing up, my home was run by 4 dogs, 2 cats, a cool snake, and a fish tank that was its own little world. I know the joy—and the juggle—of caring for a full house! I'm here to provide reliable, loving care so you can breathe easy. Let's schedule a meet-and-greet to see if your dog and I are instant besties. No pressure, just pets and good vibes. DOG LOVERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! 🐾 I work from home mostly and have the freedom and desire to run errands throughout the day. To me taking care of dogs is the responsibility of everyone in the village. For me and my dog I believe he is at his happiest when he is tired physically and mentally. That means using different puzzles and going on runs.
About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals. Especially dogs of all sizes, from chihuahuas, to pit-bulls. I treat these precious animals with the upmost respect and care. I have a dog of my own, he is a 10 year old English-American Bulldog, and he is the light of my life. Bulldogs are known to be one of the most challenging dog breeds to take care of however, nothing stops me from caring for my bully. I will take care of your fur-baby like it is my own. My mother who use to train dogs growing up, taught me how to train dogs! I love walking and hiking, so if your dog loves to walk, me and your pup would get along greatly. I have volunteered at the Oakland SPCA rescue center. That is where I cleaned dog kennels, fed them breakfast and lunch, took them out for walks, and played on the yard. Also, studying comparative psychology(study of animal minds) I learned how to tell a dog’s emotion through its body language. I currently work part time(I work through Wed-Fri)! If your babies need an afternoon walkie or just some company, I volunteer to look over your precious ones! I take pet safety extremely seriously. Please let me know if your precious ones are door dashers, need their crates, safety toy, treats, etc. I try my best to be as thorough as possible when it comes to the safety of your pets.
About: With 10+ years of animal care experience — including 4 years as a veterinary assistant — I’m especially experienced with seniors, anxious or shy pets, and those needing medications or extra TLC. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and treat every pet like my own. Providing care for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle — my schedule is intentionally flexible so I can be available when your pets need me most. Whether you need help during long workdays, weekend trips, or last-minute schedule changes, I’m happy to accommodate a wide range of needs. Let me know what your pet’s routine looks like — I’ll do my best to match it, so they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Within the client's home, I do everything I can to make their pets feel safe, seen, and loved. I know how important it is to maintain their routine and environment, especially for pets who thrive on familiarity. I take time to build trust, go at their pace, and make sure they feel comfortable with me in their space. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, extended visit, or overnight stay, I’m respectful of both your home and your pet’s boundaries. I always follow instructions carefully, provide updates along the way, and make sure your pet is happy, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. For the health and safety of your pet, I kindly ask that clients provide their own grooming tools — including brushes, combs, nail clippers, styptic powder, and any other essentials your pet is familiar with. Using your pet’s personal tools helps prevent the spread of bacteria, and ensures a safe, and hygienic experience. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are always my top priorities.
“Elyse was amazing! Our normal dog walker bailed on us last minute, so we needed someone fast. Elyse went above and beyond making sure our dogs were comfortable with her and had great communication with us. She is super sweet and our pitties love her!!!”

“We have used Christine as a dog walker on several occasions, and she is great! Christine does a good job of communicating with us when she takes Linus for his walks, and she takes great pictures! She is punctual, trustworthy, and our dog loves her. Highly recommend!!”

“As first-time users of the Rover app, we were unsure of what to expect. Jane was quick to respond to our request, despite it being short notice, and helped me through the steps. Her communication was on point and she put my mind at ease during our meet and greet. She took photos of our dog and even fed our cats! 100% would book her services again and would recommend Jane to anyone needing doggie services! Thank you!!!”
“We have been working with Costa and Monique for a few weeks now and it’s been great! Super communicative, consistent and great with our living and super energetic 65lbs pittie mix. She always comes back tired and ready for a nap. We highly recommend!”

Bartlett dog parents share their Rover experiences
Christine was so helpful with Nara. I had never had a dog walker before and she was so accommodating. My dog was an escape artist and she suggested certain things that might help. She sent lots of pictures that made me feel comfortable when I was at work. I have now put my frisbee escape artist in daycare since she has anxiety about being alone but would use Christine again if the occasion arises.
Heather was great! She took the time to meet and get to know us and our friendly and energetic pup, Caspian, which I really appreciate. And Caspian really liked her....from the beginning, she engaged with him. For this, I highly recommend her, and I will definitely be reaching out to her for walking and/or dog sitting needs in the near future.
