“Shivani was incredible and the best sitter we’ve had! She took such great care of our pup, our two cats, and our home. Our pup is fairly reactive and has some big feelings about the world, so it can be hard to find people she is comfortable with. She seemed to be quite at ease with Shivani and enjoyed her time with her! Our shy cat also loved Shivani! Shivani also sent a lot of updates about our pets, which was soooo incredibly helpful and really put us at ease while we were away! Truly can’t say enough positive things about her and we will definitely ask her to sit for us in the future!”

“Paola was great with little Beau 🐶 he loves her already! She had to be at our house crazy early in the morning, she got here a few minutes early & was wide awake and joyful…. Beau & I will invite Paola back whenever possible!!! 🐶💕”

“Lady loves Melina! Melina is very friendly and relaxed, our puppy Lady is very comfortable with her, and she’s also very knowledgeable which is great for new puppy parents like us. Thanks Melina!”

“Maddy did a drop in visit to walk my dog and feed the dog and cat their dinner, and she was fantastic. She showed up right on time, sent updates and pictures, and was overall reliable and communicative. I would 100% recommend her and rehire her in the future.”
“Laura’s first time dog sitting for us went smoothly. This was an overnight trip. She sent us photo updates and was responsive when we texted to check in. When we got home, the house was tidy, their water bowls were filled, and Cannoli and Da Vinci were in good spirits. We’ve booked Laura for an extended stay while we’re on an international trip. Thanks, Laura!”

“Dane was kind, patient, and understanding with our kitties and with us as well! My partner and I had an out of town emergency family, causing us to need to leave last minute & change our booking multiple times. Dane was flexible and understanding throughout the process. Our kitties were very new to our house and skittish, but Dane was gentle with them and helped them get comfortable with him very quickly!”

“Dennis was a wonderful house and pet sitter for us while we were away for a week. He took good care of our two dogs and two cats so we could actually have a relaxing vacation, knowing they and our home were in good hands. We will definitely book him again.”

About: My background spans a lifetime of animal husbandry, from raising horses, poultry, and rabbits on a hobby farm to specialized adult experience with iguanas and high-energy breeds. Most recently, I raised my Pitbull, Fang, from eight weeks old, giving me hands-on experience with puppy development, leash manners, and managing powerful, athletic dogs. I’ve also completed the American Red Cross online Pet First Aid course, adding emergency awareness and safety training to my practical experience. Whether it’s a backyard flock or a misunderstood breed, I provide confident, intuitive care built on decades of working with diverse species. Since my active hours are 8:00 PM to 1:00 PM, I am perfectly positioned for late-night check-ins, early-morning walks, and night-shift owners. My own routine includes three-hour morning adventures with my Pitbull, Fang, ensuring your pets receive high-energy exercise and dedicated attention while the rest of the world is still asleep. Safety and trust are paramount, especially when handling powerful breeds like my Pitbull, Fang. In my home or yours, I maintain a secure, hazard-free environment with a focus on clear boundaries and consistent routines. My "nocturnal" schedule ensures I am alert for late-night needs or early morning exercise when the neighborhood is quietest and safest for walks. Whether it’s managing high-energy dogs, specialized reptile habitats, or backyard flocks, I prioritize double-checking gates, monitoring health cues, and providing constant communication so you have total peace of mind while you are away.
“I had Esteban house sit to look after my big, rambunctious dog Sable for 6 days. Not only did Esteban take amazing care of my dog, he left the house in incredible condition. All my dog’s needs were met, and he sent regular pupdates. I’m a very anxious person and it was my first time using Rover, but Esteban put me at ease and I am so glad I decided to go with him. I would 100% use Esteban again if I ever leave town. I believe it’s safer and easier on my dog than boarding her at a dog hotel. You da man, Esteban!”

“Jessikah is an incredible pet sitter! She spent a long weekend house- and pet-sitting for me, from a Thursday evening through Sunday evening, staying overnights. She kept my house very clean, watered my front garden, and - most importantly - was super attentive to both of my pets. My cat is not particularly fond of new people, and Jessikah really put on the effort to put Angrboda at ease and try to get her to play, despite being hissed at. My dog is easier, but Jessikah went the extra mile cuddling with him loads and walking him (he pulls; walks are optional) during her stay. I got incredible photos of both pets every day. When I got home from my trip, my pets were not stressed and anxious that I'd been away, which is extremely important to me. I cannot recommend Jessikah enough, and I am so happy to have found another pet sitter I can rely on and call back for future travel.”

“Hollie took excellent care of my foster pup Luna over the holidays. She sent regular updates and photos, checked in if any questions came up, and generally gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Luna also has a medical issue that requires very specific administration of supplements to her food. I came home to a happy, healthy, relaxed dog. I highly recommend Hollie!”

“Adela is fantastic! Adela follows all my instructions and cares for my dog (Bowie) as if he was her own. Adela stays overnight at my home and she is super respectful, clean and kind. Highly recommend!”

“Wow! Charlii was truly a dream dog and house sitter. She took exquisite care of our blind 13yo dog while we were away. We got daily updates with photos/videos and really went the extra mile to keep her comfortable even with a heat wave going on. She left our house extremely clean, and even did nice little things like turning our ficus slightly so it looked better than when we left it. She was always professional and I would like to use her in the future!”

“G’la was great with our two dogs! We loved all of the wonderful pictures she sent and our dogs clearly had a good time. She even went above and beyond to coordinate visits with our landlord while we were away. Thanks, G’la!”

“Bernie boarded and cared for Melo over a weekend, providing him fun walks and lots of adventures. Sunday afternoon, after a long flight, I thankfully picked up a happy and exhausted dog 😊 Thanks Bernie!”

“Josie was a great house-sitter! Very appreciative of her flexibility with scheduling, and she took great care of my dog, who’s still learning how to meet new people and be away from me.”

“Angelique was flexible, communicative, and super loving with our dogs. She was willing to come walk/meet the dogs prior and get to know them and our house. Her messages during the trip were informative, reassuring and had pics to make it easy to know our pups were doing well. We’ll definitely be adding her to who we reach out to for future trips. Thank you!”

Sausal Creek pet parents share their Rover experiences
Laura did an excellent job house sitting with Echo. My dog is reactive with new people and Laura was willing to go through several meet ups to build a relationship with her. Despite Echo having a reaction when she first arrived, Laura stuck it out and waited for Echo to re-acclimate to her in a new context (i.e., at the house instead of the park). I got updates and pictures every day. Echo was a happy camper and got lots of play time. Will absolutely book with Laura again!

First time having Diana pet sit- we did a couple of walks beforehand to get to know my anxious pup. Diana is wonderful and I returned to the calmest post-vacation dog I’ve ever returned to having been in her care. Would definitely recommend and will be booking with her again.

Betsy did a great job and took great care of my boy. She was familiar with the breed’s quirks which is a bonus. Too many people say they get ACD’s and aren’t actually prepared for these high voltage knuckleheads. Betsy has a calm demeanor and remembered my instruction despite my forgetting to write them down.

Charlie and Angrboda are always very calm and comfy when Jessikah has watched them while I'm away. She always leaves my home clean and tidy, and is the BEST communicator I've had watching my pets. This time, she dealt with two complications: (1) Charlie's old man knee acting up and making him lethargic and uncomfortable, which I'm so thankful she was attentive to; (2) fielding a tree service that was rescheduled to the last day of my trip, which really did me a solid - rescheduling would have been a pain. When Charlie was feeling unwell, she sent videos and called me to make sure I knew what his symptoms were and could give her an informed recommendation for his care. I panicked a little, but her videos helped me identify the issue and decide it was not an emergency. He's doing great, now 🥰

Shayna is the greatest! She watched my two kitties / housesat for a week while we were out of town. This was our first time having Shayna sit for us and we truly had the most wonderful experience - she was so kind, thoughtful, communicative and trustworthy. A few days before our booking started, we sadly had to put my third cat down, and Shayna was so kind/supportive - she checked in on us and helped us navigate updating the Rover booking. During the booking, Shayna spent a ton of time with our cats giving them so much attention and playing / cuddling with them a ton which really put me at ease as I was worried about how our cats would do given the recent loss of our other cat. She sent us daily pictures and updates about how everything was going and was super communicative. We came back home to very happy kitties and a clean house - couldn’t have asked for more. We really hope to have Shayna cat sit for us again in the future!!

Dennis was without a doubt the best dog sitter we have ever had. He came highly recommended from some friends of ours. It felt so reassuring to have someone so trustworthy, responsible, and skilled with our dog, Rosie. We appreciate his reliability and communication throughout his care for Rosie and he left our home in fantastic condition. We have had different dog sitters over the years and Dennis is in a league of his own! We hope we can work with him again in the future!

Alejandra was a fantastic sitter. She arrived with a printed list of care instructions and asked thoughtful questions. She and my dog bonded quickly and she kept me well updated with photos and videos along the way. To top it off she left my house spotless! Great to come home to a happy dog and a clean house. Would absolutely have Alejandra housesit again.

Kerri was amazing with our aging pup. She went out of her way to make sure our dog had what she needed to be comfortable, and sent plenty of photos and updates. She gave our pup and us everything needed. Would absolutely have Kerri look after our dog and home again.
