My husband and I are always hesitant and nervous when we leave our Great Dane alone because he gets a little depressed and usually won’t eat because of separation anxiety or that the care taker will spoil him like we do. When we left for the night he had already snuggled up to her and had his two full meals like we didn’t matter lol. We were so happy that we found someone that our dog was so comfortable with. Shivani has a very calming energy that relaxed our dog and treated him like we would, which made us grateful. Don’t hesitate at all in booking her. She’s pure magic.”

She followed all our doggie care and home instructions, it was such peace of mind. She sent frequent photos and videos which showed us that our adopted and often timid beagles trusted her, felt safe with her and were actually being their true goof ball selves. Most sitters think they’ll try to “fix” their issues which never works and creates a tense dynamic, but Qishu didn’t appear to judge us for all our instructions and expectations. About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. About: My preferred first name is Bear. I have 5+ years experience volunteering in rescue shelters with both dogs and cats and I’ve definitely developed a knack for befriending anxious/shy animals. I’ve also worked professionally as a dog bather working with dogs of all ages and sizes. I also have experience leash training dogs and training a few basic commands. I’ve done a lot of cat sitting as well (in homes with up to 11 indoor cats!). I’m currently in school pursuing a nursing degree. My summer class schedule allows me to go for walks and check ins during mornings and early afternoons. I have done a lot of pet sitting in the pet’s homes. I understand the importance of respecting my clients’ property and I always leave the property in the same condition as when I arrived, if not better. If you are a gamer, I will never mess with your save files (many past clients seem to have this concern lol).
