About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I've cared for pets of all sizes: from large malamutes and energetic huskies to cats, rabbits, fish, and even turtles. I have experience with a wide variety of personalities, temperaments, and care needs, and I take pride in following your care instructions exactly as requested. If your pet requires a specialized diet, medication, extra patience, or simply their favorite play routine, I'll make sure they receive the attentive care they deserve. During visits, I'll provide plenty of attention and playtime, keep food and water fresh, clean litter boxes, tidy up any messes, and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I work from home most days of the week and have a flexible schedule that allows me to take breaks throughout the day to make time for your pet. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible and make them safe and reduce stress while you're away. I'll let them take the lead as we get to know each other.

I live in a low traffic quiet neighborhood near a lot of parks and pretty outdoor spaces for walks. And there is some great bird and squirrel watching from the balcony doors.

About: Experienced with large dogs. I have a +60lb pit/staffy rescue. He has anxiety around other dogs so I am accustomed to managing that in public, working to decrease associated behaviors, and highly cognizant of the space/surrounding I have the dog in. I am also experienced with cats. I have 2 currently from a rehoming/divorce situation a couple years ago. I have open availability Monday-Wednesday, limited availability other days. Please inquire. With 3.5wks notice i can have open availability. I am able to housesit and do drop-in’s as well in the SF east bay. Caring for your pet is extremely important to me. One of the moments that confirmed I’d always want to work with animals was in college, when I helped care for my roommate’s pitbull/red heeler mix, Bridget. She is the sweetest girl, though she struggled with anxiety and health issues. With her special diet, supplements, and medications, Bridget taught me what it meant to truly care for a soul who’d been through so much. It’s a wonderful setup because Ian works from home (and is basically a dog at heart!), so your pets will almost always have company and care. Rest assured, it will only be me caring for your pets unless we’ve discussed and agreed otherwise. I’m also happy to bring Ian to our meet & greet and provide references upon request! I am responsible for creating a safe space for pets in their home.
