“Great job, Ripley loves her. Would love more pictures!”

“Jennifer was lovely, attentive, and a great communicator. We just adopted our dog and he has little bursts of aggression and Jennifer was kind enough to come by before their first walk to test the waters. Everything turned out great and Jennifer sent updates and pictures throughout his walks. We will definitely work with her again.”

“Adam is always quick to respond, communicative and was able to take my dog and an additional one we are dogsitting out today! And for a minor cost versus double. His style is laid back and easy while being on top of all the details. Would highly recommend!”

“Stephanie has been so great with my dog Maya. After starting a new job and moving to a new city, I didn’t have any support to help with my dog. Stephanie has been so helpful with all these changes. Maya can be a bit nervous around new people but she warmed up to Stephanie really fast and gets so excited to see her! Stephanie is so great- she is a very reliable person, trustworthy, a great communicator and great with dogs. I’m so happy I found her and that Maya really enjoys her company!”

“Christine came to the rescue on short notice to walk our foster dog while we were on vacation. She was patient, understanding and offered great care. Love the rover.com app and the report card feature! Christine clearly followed the protocol, gave informative daily feedback and put our concerns about leaving new foster pet at ease. Thanks Christine!”

Whether it's going on long walks, bath time, puzzle games, or playtime together at home, I truly enjoy giving every animal the attention and care they deserve. I’ve looked after cats and dogs of all ages, from energetic youngsters to sweet seniors, and I love tailoring each day to their needs and personalities. Rest assured that your furry friend will be treated like family with me! I currently work part-time as a yoga instructor here in Oakland, which means I have a flexible schedule with lots of availability—especially during weekday 9–5 hours and weekends. Whether your furry one wants a peaceful walk, a playful adventure, or just some cozy company at home, I have the time and energy to make it happen. I take safety and trust very seriously, whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours. I always follow the specific routines and guidelines each pet parent provides—whether that means administering medication on time, using the proper harness for walks, crating them when I step out, or sticking to house rules. Every pet is unique, and I’m committed to making sure they feel secure and cared for while giving you total peace of mind. Your pet’s safety—and your trust—are my top priorities.

“Esteban quickly became my puppy's very best friend (I hope my kids don't see this). My puppy returns from walks and passes out for hours. Esteban is reliable and my puppy is always excited to go on their walks. He also communicates well and gives great updates on any activity from the walk.”

About: I've grown up owning dogs my whole life, and I own my own dog as well. I honestly think it's impossible to be sad when a dog is in your life, and it is our responsibility to take care of them as best as we can. I would love to spend time and take care of your dog in the event you cannot. They should't have to feel so alone when we are busy! My puppy is very social, kind, and loves to play with other dogs. She is spayed so there is no worry there. I promise to take the best care of your dog, as if it was my own. I am also a strong believer in training dogs and keeping them on their own routine. I am very respectful of the rules or standards that each owner has for their dog, and plan on carrying those out exactly as you ask. I have a very flexible schedule currently and can accommodate many different times. Feel free to reach out and we can find a common time that works for you, your pet and me! Safety and trust are the most important aspect of caring for other animals. They are not just our pets but members of our family and I always keep that in mind. I will send photos and always be transparent about how your dog is doing.

About: Hi Paw-rents! Thanks so much for stopping by! I know how personal it is to choose someone to care for your beloved pet—and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is simple: to make sure your furry family member feels safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away, and that you feel completely at ease knowing they’re in great hands. I bring a calm, grounded presence to pet care, shaped by my background in social work and trauma-informed support. I understand how to meet each pet exactly where they are—whether they’re shy, high-energy, older, or need a little extra patience. I move at their pace, tune into their cues, and make sure they feel secure every step of the way. In my free time you’ll find me outdoors hiking, exploring national parks, or walking my sweet dog Zuri and exploring dog heaven at Fort Funston Beach. Zuri is incredibly gentle, and we love hosting dog friends at our peaceful, pet-friendly home. You can count on me for: Thoughtful, loving, and responsible care Clear, consistent communication A calm, structured environment your pet can settle into If you're looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in your pet’s well-being—I’d love to connect. Can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I'm currently working part-time, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your pet the attention they deserve. I’m available for boarding, daycare, and drop-ins—mornings and afternoons or evenings Wednesday through Sunday. Whether your pup needs a playful day or a cozy overnight stay, I’ve got you covered! A Typical Day with Me I love spending time outdoors, so your pup and I will enjoy walks exploring the neighborhood and sniffing new scents. With your approval, I’ll offer healthy treats to keep things fun. We might visit the dog park for some social time, then relax with sunbathing or quiet rest. At home, your dog can play with my gentle pup Zuri—or I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. Since I work part-time, I have plenty of time to be fully present and give your pet all the love and attention they deserve. I truly enjoy building bonds with every dog I care for—it’s one of my favorite parts of this work!

“Cynthia has been walking our dog, Pip, for the last six weeks while I recover from a foot injury and we really appreciate her. Our dog, Pip, was nervous about walking with a stranger but Cynthia was very flexible in figuring out how to make it more comfortable for Pip. Cynthia is quick to respond and shows up reliably. We really appreciate her help.”

My background in **holistic care and rehabilitation** allows me to provide gentle, supportive handling and even incorporate calming techniques, massage, and enrichment when appropriate. For senior pets, I focus on reducing stress, minimizing discomfort, and keeping them safe and happy in their familiar surroundings. Whether it’s a drop-in or walk, I ensure pets receive the attentive, compassionate care they deserve — and I keep you updated with detailed notes and photos for peace of mind. “The boys love having Dennis visit and walk them.”

About: Hello! I've been pet-sitting professionally since September 2023 and have done walks, drop-in visits, and house-sitting for dogs and cats of various ages, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. This includes caring for senior dogs who need mobility assistance and have a hard time hearing and seeing. I also volunteered at my local animal shelter during college, where I had weekly shifts walking, playing with, and socializing dogs in the shelter. Additionally, I have experience caring for my own pet rats, and others' rodents and reptiles (rabbit, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons). With clear instructions from you, I would love to care for any rodents, reptiles, amphibians, or birds as well! You can list these animals as "Cats" within your Rover profile. I have a 30 hour/week job in libraries and I work pet-care into my off-days, or before/after a work shift. I recently adopted my own cat, so I will mostly be offering drop-in visits and dog walks, but will be available for 1-3 night housesits. Let me know you and your pet's schedule and needs, and we can see if we're a good match! I like to get to know you and your pet before caring for them in order to make sure we’re a good fit (so, I do require a Meet & Greet before booking). Whether they're an energetic dog who will want a high energy walk, or a shy cat who might take some time getting used to a stranger, I want your pets to feel safe, cared for, and happy. Please note: I have a severe peanut allergy so if feeding your dog peanut butter or peanut treats is a big part of their routine, I won't be able to provide those foods, but if they can go without while in my care, that's okay!

About: I had a full grown cat in my crib as a baby, my parent's told me I would feed it my bottle. I moved to SC to live with my grandmother when I was young. She was a nurse and spent a lot of time helping the local animal shelter. At most, 20 kittens or puppies would be at her house. Usually the animals were malnourished or sick, she would try to get them healthy enough to adopt. That's probably why I love cats and dogs as much as I do. I've adopted 2 dogs, 1 cat from the humane society as an adult. The first dog I adopted was a feral puppy, I adopted him bc I wanted to see why my grandmother never would allow feral animals in her home. I had him for 14 wonderful years but it did take a lot of training and patience. The last dog I owned was a 1 year old pit from a kill shelter. I was able to train this dog not to bite and protect it's owner without biting. I love pets, I know more than your regular person on what types of food/treats to give a dog. For example, if your dog eats a couple pecans, that's bad news. I also know people can be very particular of what they want their animals eating, even if it's a treat. I'd never give someone else's pet a treat without their consent. My job revolves around fixing coffee machines and that business isn't as busy as it used to be prior to the pandemic. I have plenty of free time and I understand how important a routine is in young dogs/cats and I'm willing to help out in any way I possibly can. Currently my roommate has a dog that isn't friendly around other dogs, it's a 9 year old Shiba, and I've learned those breeds are some of the most stubborn dogs. I feed this dog, wash her, and trim du claws and nails. When my roommate is out of town, I let the dog sleep in my bed even though I can't stand how much she sheds. I have a clean background, I've never been in trouble for stealing bc my parents brought me up not to do that. Prior to moving out to CA to work on coffee machines, I spent 17 year's working for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage department. I didn't love my job which is why I'm out here now. My roommate I've known since high school, he'll confirm you won't have to worry when you're out of town.

“Elise did a great job walking my Great Dane mix. She was very energetic and positive, and my dog seemed very comfortable with her. Highly recommend!”

Dawnly S.
“Dawnly has been my co-walker for several months & has proven to be extremely reliable. The large dog (Blue) is prone to pulling, stubbornness, & squirrel chasing, but Dawnly is never off balance or overwhelmed. Dawnly is a kind, affectionate dog lover, who will always be attentive to your pets needs.”

Hannah Y.
“Hannah has been watching and walking my golden retriever, Ellie, for about 5 years now. Anytime she comes over, Ellie squeals with joy and excitement. Hannah is experienced with reactive dogs and, in my case, stubborn dogs! Even when Ellie would prefer to sit and lounge instead of walk, she is able to get her moving using positive reinforcement. I’d highly recommend and trust her with my dog anytime!”

“I can't recommend Ari enough as a pet caregiver! She’s incredibly responsible, attentive, and most importantly—genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. As an experienced vet tech, she brings a level of knowledge and professionalism that’s rare to find. If anything seems off with your pet, she’s the first to notice and knows exactly how to handle the situation calmly and confidently. It’s such a relief to know that your furry friend is in the hands of someone who not only loves animals but truly understands them. Your pet couldn’t be in better care.”

Grace L.

“Grace is very trustworthy and dependable. I never have concerns leaving my fur babies (1 dog and 2 cats) in her care. She spends time just cuddling and playing with them above and beyond the essential duties of feeding, medicating, walking, and litter scooping. They clearly like to see her and so having her around makes that part of my leaving home completely stress-free. If an issue arises or she has a question/concern about their behavior or whatever she’s very reliable about reaching out via text or email. I have no reservations in recommending her as a pet sitter.”

Clinton dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hollie did a great job walking Lyla and Daniel. They can be a handful (especially Lyla), and Hollie’s been kind and patient with them. Hollie’s punctual, communicative, and clear with me about what’s happening with the pups! I’m glad that she was able to spend some time with them!

I needed help desperately and I couldn’t have found better. Respectful of pet parent, authentic, can tell she likes dogs, I’m feeling 10/5 on the whole experience today!

Karem was on time and prepared. She asked all the right questions during a "trial walk", during which I excused myself and observed from afar (as I told her I would) to see their interaction. I was very impressed. There was even a confrontation with another unfriendly dog and Karem handled it very well. I've had dogs all my life and she clearly understands them and cares. My personal life has been a struggle for the last four years or so, and my dog got me through it all. As you can imagine, my dog is precious to me and from what i've seen, I completely trust Karem. I'm happy to be a reference; you have my number, or.: JD Hamner jdhamner@gmail.com

Natalie is super communicative and easy to work with. She’s very respectful in my home and always confirms all the tasks before leaving. I am definitely a repeat customer !

Madeleine was great with our super shy rescue dog! He went up to her almost immediately (very rare for him) and seemed to trust her right away. She even went back to check on him when he didn’t want to go out on a walk to make sure he got outside if he needed to. Would highly recommend Madeleine to any pet owners who want a kind and trustworthy sitter!

Nothing could have gone more smoothly. Communicative, timely, and great with my puppy. Thank you. I hope we can work together again.

Shanley treats our little Scooter like a prince. She is very kind and loving with him, and he is THRILLED to go for walks with her!

Jennifer is helpful and communicative. She also went above and beyond to make sure my dog was taken care of while I was gone for the day. I totally recommend her as a dog walker!

Alexandria graciously accepted my booking very last minute when something came up even though I was a little out of her normal area. She communicated well and everything went great! I would definitely recommend!

Laura takes such good care of Ollie and always leaves detailed walk cards that helps me know my pup is in super caring hands!
