“I am super happy with my experience with Nikolai and Jessica. They were available last minute when my other sitter cancelled on me. I was at first apprehensive with leaving Willow someplace with multiple other dogs being cared for since the last experience left Willow traumatized and was negative. This was the total opposite! It’s clear that they both care for all the dogs in their care and give them all the attention and love needed. I never had to ask for updates, they were proactive with photos/videos. It was so nice to be on vacation and not have to worry about my dog. Willow came back happy and well cared for. It’s nice to finally have a reliable sitter in my area. About: I’ve grown up with cats and kittens my whole life and continued adopting them as an adult — animals have always been at the heart of my home! I’ve raised and trained a puppy from 8 weeks old, cared for up to 3 medium-sized dogs at a time, and have experience housing and caring for rabbits, birds, and reptiles too. 🐶🐱🐰🦜🐸🦎 Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, loving home where they’ll be treated like family! I’m also a pet parent myself — my 1-year-old pup and 9-year-old cat are both incredibly friendly with people and other animals and absolutely love making new friends. About: I enjoyed house-sitting for various friends and family through college. I grew up owning a dog, and my ASD-focused high school had a weekly dog class requirement that, in addition to simple training classes, used dogs as a metaphor for understanding nonverbal communication. Because of that, I can easily intuit how animals are feeling in a given moment. I always approach cats and dogs with a calm persona, trying to meet them on their level. Happy to be either a cuddle buddy or a meal ticket! I was recently laid off from my 9-5, and I’ve decided to switch my gears for a while. I’m available almost full-time. However, I am a freelance musician with an infrequent and unpredictable performance schedule. I’ll always strive to keep my availability as up-to-date as possible to avoid any potential surprises. As I stated previously, I’m always working to make any animal feel safe around me, and that they can trust me. When I first meet a cat or dog, I always kneel to meet them at their level. At home, I live simply. I’m not ashamed to call myself a homebody. I do practice frequently, but I can take measures to greatly reduce my volume or simply avoid practice during an extended stay, pending any future gigs. I live in a condo right on the estuary, with a walking path that leads right to Jack London Sq. There are other dog owners in the building. It’s a good community, and right by Estuary Park. I may not have a backyard, but it’s a darn good compromise.
