About: I offer a quieter, more individualized kind of dog sitting. I only take dogs from one household at a time, so your dog won’t be sharing the space with a rotating group of other dogs. That allows me to give them a lot of individual attention and to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I’m a licensed acupuncturist and a therapist in training, so being reliable and observant is a big part of my professional life. I’m also very conscientious about following your instructions closely. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. Pet care fits best into my schedule on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, walks, companionship, and a relaxed home environment. I’m generally available from Friday evening through Sunday and can often accommodate weekend boarding or daytime care. During the week I work a regular professional schedule, so I’m intentional about only accepting bookings when I know I can provide the time and attention a pet needs. When a dog is staying with me, I want them to be part of my routine rather than squeezed into it. I take safety and trust seriously and make a point of following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment and make sure dogs have appropriate supervision, regular walks and potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention. I’m careful about feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and any behavioral or health concerns you share with me. I also like to know about a dog’s personality, triggers, routines, and preferences ahead of time so I can help them feel comfortable and settled. If I’m caring for a pet in your home, I’m respectful of your space and follow your instructions closely. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Hy and Arlo took great care of our dog, Sadie, while we were out of town. We got regular updates with many pictures that kept us confident that Sadie was comfortable and settling in. Hy was proactive in acknowledging the heat wave with us and that she’d be careful to not take Sadie out when it was too hot, which I really appreciated. We look forward to having Sadie stay with them again!
Peter was very communicative and attentive to Batman. 10/10. I highly recommend him if you were looking for a reliable, communicative, kind, and professional pet sitter in the area. In addition, Peter is super friendly and caring. Batman almost seemed like he didn't want to go! Sehoon is my go to dog sitter in Oakland/Berkeley area! He always goes above and beyond for Rocky- feeding him his favorite treats, taking him out on fun walks and adventures, and even giving him a bath. I know Rocky loves it every time he gets to go to Sehoon’s and looks forward to being back next time :)
While we were out of town, our golden/aussie mix spent 4 days with Charlene and had a lot of fun with all the friends he met. Charlene is very organized and professional, with excellent communication throughout the process, from meet-and-greet, drop-off, daily pupdates, to pickup. There is a lot of room in the yard to run around and play. We would definitely send Jasper to Charlene's again when we are out of town.
Rob was amazing with our bulldog Choux! He treated him to lots of park visits, treats, and snuggles, gave him all the appropriate meds and even kept him from scratching. Rob was kind and attentive with me and my spouse, always flexible and thoughtful in our communications. Very apparent he’s a true animal lover and gentle soul. Will definitely book with Rob again!
Inkoo was very responsive when I contacted her, and provided daily updates of our pup’s adventures during his boarding stay with her family. He had such a blast with her and got super spoiled with all the places he visited and all the attention he received! I highly recommend Inkoo and would definitely board with her again!

We are fostering Giselle, an incredibly sweet but very reactive pit bull from the Alameda animal shelter, and finding someone we trust to handle her is no easy task. Stephanie is one of those rare people who not only has the confidence and experience to manage challenging behaviors, but also takes the time to understand *why* a dog is behaving the way they are and figure out what works best for that individual dog. She doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Stephanie pays attention, experiments with different techniques, reads the dog in front of her, and adapts each walk or visit to exactly what that dog needs. She is patient, curious, compassionate, and incredibly skilled at working with dogs across all types of behaviors and temperaments. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her. We recommend Stephanie to everyone we know, regardless of whether their dog is easygoing, anxious, reactive, or has other behavioral needs, because we’ve experienced firsthand just how thoughtful and capable she truly is.
