My son and I regularly dog sit our friends/neighbors dogs. We love them like they’re our own. I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life— life is just better with animals around. My 11 year old ADORES dogs and we recently adopted a sweet dog of our own who loves other dogs as well. Whatever money we make from Rover I put in a college account for my son (and some for his piggy bank when he is helpful with the dogs ☺️).

Charlie had another great stay with Kara and Nathan! This was the first time Charlie had stayed with them since they adopted their dog, Delta. But luckily the two dogs seemed to get along well, and they all took excellent care of Charlie, with regular updates and photos/videos.
Kara always takes such amazing care of Charlie. It's tough leaving him behind, but it makes us happy to know that he has such a great time with her and her son. She also is great at communicating before and during stays, which makes it even easier for us.
Kara took incredible care of our dog, she and her son Nathan are perfect hosts and I couldn’t recommend them more. Gentle, great with walks, and always timely with the photos!
Kara and Nathan took great care of Star! Home visit in advance made me feel comfortable. Great communication. Daily photos. Would be happy for them to watch Star again, and highly recommend them.
Kara was so great with our pup Rocky! We would love to have Kara watch Rocky again in the future 🐕🦺

Schedule
I work from home and have a lot of flexibility throughout the day for walks, backyard play time, etc. Our routine is consistent since I’m a parent (morning walk to school and back, afternoon lunchtime walk, evening walk). And we love to get out and hike/walk/play on weekends. Some of the places we love to go: -Redwood Regional Park: off-leash hiking. -Point Isabelle Dog Park: off-leash trails at Richmond Point -Montclair Railroad Trail: on-leash -Leona Heights Park: on-leash trail -Joaquin Miller Park: off-leash & on-leash trail -Our neighborhood: On-leash, So many neighborhood dogs to stop and smell! -We also go to a couple dog parks on occasion. Let us know if your dog would like that.

We have a fenced yard and room to run around… our house is open and spacious. I generally allow dogs on the couch. We enjoy walking them morning, afternoon, and evening (but understand not all dogs can walk as often and that’s ok). We enjoy the dog park (if your dog does), as well as on or off leash hikes and beaches (if your dog does!) :-)

We love to walk and play with dogs! We’ll play catch, head to the beach or dog park, on or off leash walks, or whatever your dog is into!
