*Please message for availability * Please note I have a friendly cat at home * * MUST BE CAT-FRIENDLY :) * *I only board pets from one family at a time* I love animals. I have experience house sitting and boarding and previously have worked as a veterinary assistant at an emergency hospital in the emergency service, dermatology, internal medicine and with a primary care in-home vet. I have experience giving medications, fluids, injections. I’ve also had elderly cats with heart, kidney issues, diabetes, allergies, so I am familiar with those health concerns. I've had dogs, cats, a bunny, a turtle, hamsters, birds. I have experience administering medication, and special needs. I also took a pet CPR and First Aid course and know how to safely handle an animal. I currently live in Alameda on the west end by the beach and can do boarding with dogs that are friendly to cats as I have a sweet cat, house-sitting or drop-in visits in the west end of Alameda. I will send you lots of pictures of your pup and check in with you if I have any questions. Thanks!

Erika's very attentive and responds quickly! She immediately informed me when my sneaky senior dog faked taking a pill. I can go on longer vacations now without worry!
Erika is amazing! This is the first time we’ve ever had someone house sit and watch our puppy Chloe while we were away. Erika’s kindness, gentle demeanor and obvious love of animals put us at ease immediately. While we were gone, Erika sent plenty of photos and updates. It made us feel great to see that Chloe was being so well taken care of and having fun taking walks and playing with Erika. Chloe can be slow to warm up to new people, but she took an immediate liking to Erika. Dogs are great judges of character! We were also so appreciative of how Erika looked after our house. Everything was immaculate when we returned and Erika had even taken extra steps to start the laundry and clean up the kitchen. We can’t say enough about Erika’s trustworthiness, courtesy, professionalism and kindness. We are looking forward to working with Erika again in the future!

Baxter has spent a great couple daycare days with Erika, and hopefully more to come! Erika asked good questions to get to know Baxter and followed instructions for his care well. She sent pictures and updates during the day, and it's fun to track how Chicken and Baxter are co-existing. :) Erika is very prompt and communicative in scheduling. Highly recommend her!
Our dog Cara had a great stay with Erika and Chicken. Erika is very detail oriented when she’s getting to know your dog. She sends frequent photos and videos and my favorite part was getting a written update about how Cara did that day! Sometimes multiple times a day. Cara is weary of strangers so we were concerned about how she’s do in a new environment. Erika did really great with her. And getting texts from Erika kept our worries at bay. We will be returning to pet-sit on Erika on our next trip too!
Tofu had another great stay with Erika and Chicken! She was on top of all the meds and supplements the old dog needs, and took him out for all the walks he wanted. We'll be back!

Schedule
I work from home I’m usually up by 7/8am and work until about 5pm. I go on walks during the day /after work, and live close to the dog park.

With having a veterinary background, I pay attention to details. I have a gentle Persian cat at home and let pets be free in my apartment but can crate as well as needed if the pet cannot be alone free when I step out of home or baby gate a part of the apartment.

A typical day
I love to go on walks, usually down crown beach, and also live 5 min walk from the Washington dog park. I usually have pets close by during the day but otherwise I like to be active during the day.

- I can board up to 3 pets from the same family only, I don’t board multiple unrelated pets for safety concerns. I would like to know of your dog's temperament, whether they are neutered/spayed, medications and any allergies. They need to be friendly to cats and be on flea preventative. No breed preferences and no heavy barkers unfortunately because of the neighbors.
