“Shannon was such an amazing help. Unfortunately our pup was not able to attend our wedding rehearsal and Shannon saved the day. She was flexible with pick up times, showed up exactly when we needed her, and was very professional. Shannon’s house is just as described and is perfect to house doggies. She sent many pictures and updates so you will never miss a moment.”

“I am so grateful to have found Kelly. She is very intentional about providing excellent care and I felt completely at ease with Ginger in her care. She sent updates and photos and I could see my Ginger was happy. Thank you Kelly!”

“Alex was a last minute God-send for me and my pup, Maxwell. She was super flexible as I managed flight and life delays. Her home is located in a great place for doggie to run and play - right across the street from a beautiful park! And it was clear that both her and her kiddos are big time animal lovers. Her partner even pitched in to help re-stich his bed that was falling apart when I dropped him off. Above and beyond! I would definitely recommend Alex and her family to offer consistent, loving and fun care for your pets.”

“Kristen and Ryan were incredibly warm and accommodating when first meeting my small and nervous doggie. They showed their home and clearly demonstrated a level of care and experience that gave me a lot of comfort and would definitely rebook. They were also attentive of how our dogs interacted and made sure they experienced little to no distress. Highly recommend their services 🩷”

“Meghan and Jenny were the absolute best! They watched our Dog Squid for nearly 3 weeks while we were in Europe and we got the cutest updates every single day. I honestly think Squid was sad to leave them to come back home. He had so much fun and was so loved. We absolutely will use them again and cannot begin to describe how comforting it is to know your pet is in a loving home while you are traveling.”

“Sherry is an AMAZING dog sitter!! I trusted her to care for my sweet but nervous 50lb girl, Ellie, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Sherry was so thorough, she sent plenty of updates throughout and put me at ease! She was super responsive to my dog’s needs, and I could see Ellie just melting and falling in love with her through the updates. She’s got a lovely, clean and safe apartment and she is obviously someone who knows dogs well. I would trust Sherry with dog sitting ANY day! Highly recommend.”

“Leaving our pup Koda with Jeff and Beth always feels good. It’s our second time boarding with them and Koda seems to get so loved up and cared for by them and their sweet kids. We LOVE all of their updates and photos, they’re the best! And we were super grateful they were flexible to extend Koda’s stay one extra night. All in all such a good experience and I’m sure Koda is looking forward to going back! Thanks Jeff and Beth!”

“Hy and Arlo were amazing as usual! They took great care of our dog during fireworks, always concerned about his needs and are so flexible and accommodating when we had a flight delay. There’s a reason Clutch always come back happy and loved!”

“They were a treat to work with! I was a little nervous leaving my 6-month-old Australian Shepherd because of how much energy and attention young Aussies require, but they exceeded all expectations. They took excellent care of him during his stay, including taking him on multiple hikes and making sure he got plenty of exercise and enrichment. It was clear when I got home that he was happy, healthy, and well cared for. I really appreciated the level of attention and care they provided, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.”

I loved her daily updates with pictures of him clearly relaxed and enjoying himself. Top notch care! I appreciate that she took my request with fairly short notice and was able to do a meet and greet the next day! We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future boarding needs.”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have kids that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.
About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.

“Lynn is so attentive and kind. Would highly recommend!! She sent so many photos, went on a long hike with my high energy dog, and my dog came home exhausted I know she had a blast.”

“Krishna and her partner provided excellent care, attention and affection for my husky during my stay in S.F. They brought their sweet dog Milo out for meet and greet, all went well and my dog had a great stay. Highly recommended!”

“Asha has been amazing with my pup, Rahi. She communicates super well and genuinely loves dogs. I get pictures and videos through the day and I’m so much at peace leaving my Rahi with her. Highly, highly recommend!!”

“Alejandra is the best! She took such good care of MoMo and sent me photos & updates throughout the day. This is my 3rd booking with her and my trust in her grows each time - Tysm Alejandra!”

“Baxter has stayed Andrea and her pups twice for daycare, with hopefully more days to come! Andrea has a gentle, kind spirit and seems very attuned to a dog's needs. At our meet & greet, she asked great questions about Baxter and his routines. She provided fun updates with pics a few times a day -- much appreciated!”

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.
“Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.”

About: I managed a pet sitting service for 4 years with more than 400 clients and owned my own pet sitting service for 2 years, providing above and beyond pet care: dog walking, boarding, overnight house sitting, cat sitting, and other small pet care. I'm trained in insulin injections and skilled at applying ear drops, administering pills, and other basic daily medicinal needs. I also take great pictures of your pets and provide detailed notes while you're away! As a pet owner myself, I know first hand how hard it is to leave your pets at home. If I am to stay at your home, I can also take care of daily house duties like rotating lights, bringing in mail/packages, and watering plants. (I'm a skilled plant owner as well!) I'm trained in pet CPR and first aid and am skilled at recognizing dog behavioral cues. While I'm not a trainer, I'm happy to work with your dog on existing commands and basic commands. I have a very flexible, remote job and will prioritize your pet and it's needs! I take my own dog for hikes and play dates 3-4 times a week (on top of regular walks!) and look forward to having your dog join our pack! About: First time booking with Rover? Use this promo code for $20 off: QISHUZ24398 Hi there! My name's Qishu (🔑👟). I moved to Oakland in 2023 to pursue a new dream - chiropractic medicine (for animals and humans)! I'm currently a full-time student and will be until the end of 2027. I was previously a sales engineer with IBM. I'd love to help all the cat and dog mamas/papas out here just as I had in Boulder, CO and, before that, Chicago, IL. I grew up with dogs since the age of 8 - mixed breeds, yorkies, labs, pitbulls, shepherds, terriers, corgis, chihuahuas, frenchies.. the list goes on!! One of the moments that confirmed I’d always want to work with animals was in college, when I helped care for my roommate’s pitbull/red heeler mix, Bridget. She is the sweetest girl, though she struggled with anxiety and health issues. Her teeth were worn down from chewing rocks in her past life, and she’d carry a little blanket around whenever she felt distressed. With her special diet, supplements, and medications, Bridget taught me what it meant to truly care for a soul who’d been through so much. That experience deepened my love and empathy for all animals in a way that’s stayed with me ever since. I would be honored to give your pets the love, exercise, and attention they deserve while you're away! I'm a huge advocate for providing pets with a great quality of life - more than just basic food and shelter. I'm happy to do any small extraneous tasks like getting the mail, watering plants, etc. Just let me know in advance! For my cat parents out there: Because of my 3 kids (Kina, Nemr, & Freyja) and a short stint fostering, I'm seasoned in all things cat/kitten: socializing, changing litter, oral admin of meds, treating fleas, bathing, nail trimming, de-shedding, training (sit, high-five, stand, turn-around, kiss). Since I’m a full-time student, my Rover calendar is currently limited to weekends and school breaks. That said, many families are comfortable having my partner, Ian, join when he’s available—which allows for a little more flexibility with scheduling. It’s a wonderful setup because Ian works from home (and is basically a dog at heart!), so your pets will almost always have company and care. Rest assured, it will only be me caring for your pets unless we’ve discussed and agreed otherwise. I’m also happy to bring Ian to our meet & greet and provide references upon request! I am responsible for creating a safe space for pets in their home. I make sure that they are comfortable and their boundaries are respected and understood with the guidance of their body language and the wisdom from their humans. All animals deserve patience, love, and empathy.

With 3.5wks notice i can have open availability. I am able to housesit and do drop-in’s as well in the SF east bay. Caring for your pet is extremely important to me. About: I have had and cared for pets since childhood, rescuing (literally from the streets) a lovely pitbull named Olive when I lived in Philadelphia. Moved to CA in May 2026 from East Coast. I recently moved to CA to support my wife’s new job in SF. I have a fully open schedule at the moment and with a love of animals I thought that this would be a better way to learn and love my new community than digging through online job ads. I am willing to sit, play, walk, feed and care for your pets as needed. I’m an active (formerly collegiate) runner and can go as fast or slowly as your pet needs. I have reliable transportation and experience in pet first aid as I recently completed my tenure as an Emergency Manager with the American Red Cross.

“Sharon was wonderful. She was very understanding of my dogs separation anxiety and really went out of her way to make sure he was able to settle. Sent lots of photos and updates!”

“Chad is wonderful with my Benny. When I leave Benny in his care I know that Benny has a great time and is well looked after because he sends me picture/video updates. Benny is always wagging his tail when he sees Chad. I will continue to book Chad.”

“Nasreddine was wonderful with Luna! She made pickup and dropoff super easy, stayed communicative throughout, and sent photos of Luna looking happy and relaxed. I felt totally at ease knowing Luna was in great hands and would happily book with her again.”

“Inkoo was a wonderful host for Tino, keeping him happy with lots of long walks, naps in the sun, and snuggles even on the bed. I loved her daily updates with pictures of him clearly relaxed and enjoying himself. Top notch care! I appreciate that she took my request with fairly short notice and was able to do a meet and greet the next day! We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future boarding needs.”

“Meera was great and professional. She was very communicative and always sent photos of my dog the whole time, I really appreciate it. She was very sweet and gentle with jazz and took her on walks and hikes. I would recommend to anyone”

“We felt so comfortable leaving our pup Henna with Maria and Kevan’s family! They did a great job keeping us updated and Henna seemed to have a very fun time there. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

“Robert and Brian are great! They really take the time to understand your individual dog's needs before taking care of them. My dog Koda felt very comfortable around them and loved all of the walks/adventures he went on with them. Robert's communication with me throughout the stay was really helpful, especially when he had questions or unforeseen circumstances arose. I also loved all the videos and pictures they sent me while Koda stayed with them!”

“Stephanie was so great with our (very) anxious senior dog. Lots of enrichment activities and walks, and very patient, with excellent communication and a relaxed, knowledgeable vibe.”

“Ben and his family took excellent care of Jackson. They were great communicators, sent lots of sweet pics and integrated him into the family. I think Jackson was a little bummed to have to come home. I will definitely use again.”

“Lynn was so communicative, supporting and accommodating with Rosco. She met for a meet and greet and asked plenty of questions to help her understand Rosco’s routines and behaviors, as well as ensure he got along with her pup Mindy. Lynn kept me updated with timelines and photos and was able to quickly redirect Rosco’s accident during his first night. He was well taken care of, got plenty of walks and clear guidance. I would highly recommend Lynn for your pup and look forward to booking her again in the future.”

“I had such a great experience boarding my dog, Skye, over Thanksgiving week. From start to finish, the care was outstanding. Skye immediately felt comfortable, and I could tell he was in good hands the entire time. I received regular updates, including photos and messages, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. The environment was clean, safe, and welcoming, and it was clear that Skye was treated like part of the family. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. I highly recommend Astrid to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive dog boarding. I’ll definitely book again in the future!”

“Hikaru & John took amazing care of my fur baby. They asked for all his needs and give him ton of attention. They took him for walks and a hike so he can get his energy out. Appreciate them! And their care for my sweet fur baby. Highly recommend them.”

“Alexis and Damien have been great with Margo, sent a lot of photos and updates and were very flexible with pickup and drop off and understanding of our delay. Couldn’t have had a better experience! Thank you so much and hope you’ll have Margo over again!”
