About: Looking for a pet sitter who treats your furry (and feathered, scaled, and shelled) friends like family? Look no further! With years of hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, lively puppies, curious kittens, chirpy birds, scaly reptiles, tiny rodents, and even shimmering fish, I’ve got all your pet care needs covered — and then some. Specializing in working with senior dogs, I know how to give them gentle, tailored care that keeps them happy and comfortable. Got a multi-pet household? No problem! I’m a pro at managing the chaos — from feeding and exercising to grooming, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, and offering endless cuddles and love. I’ve handled a wide variety of dog breeds, especially terriers, so I’m familiar with their spirited personalities. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, a spa day, or just some extra TLC while you're away, I’m here to provide top-notch, compassionate care with a dash of humor and a whole lot of love. Because your pets deserve the best — and I’m the pet whisperer they’ll thank you for! I'm currently working part-time with a flexible schedule. Monday thru Friday 8 AM - 10 PM. I am available for weekends and one-week or longer stays with advanced notice. When I care for your dog in their home, it’s all about creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where they feel comfortable and cherished. I’ll start by understanding their unique personality, routines, and preferences, so everything feels familiar and calming. Whether it’s a cozy cuddle session on their favorite spot, a gentle walk around the block, or simply sitting beside them while they nap, I’ll give them my full attention and love. I believe in respecting their space, engaging them with gentle play, and providing plenty of positive reinforcement. I’ll keep their meals, medications, and bathroom routines on schedule, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog like family — with patience, kindness, and lots of love — so they feel safe, happy, and loved even when you’re not around.

“Mango loved her first walk with Alexis! Looking forward to many more adventures.”

“Osaze, has worked my Joey a few times and is always on time and really makes secure she gets a good long walk instead of meandering down the street like some dog walkers.”

About: Caring and avid dog lover at heart. I have my very own chiweenie that I adopted one year ago. She keeps me busy, has lots of energy and loves to take walks! Prior to Suzie, I adopted a senior mini pinscher that lived until she was 15. I have experience cat sitting as well as taking care of dogs. I love to walk and play with pets and believe they are greatest addition to our lives. I am free in the weekday mornings and weekends for drop ins and walks. I am available in the mornings up until 1.00pm and all day on weekends. I work a pm Shift so have free time during the AM. I live in a safe neighborhood on a quiet street. I am in an apartment on the 3rd floor with access to an elevator to take my dog for potty breaks.

“Emma was amazing! From the moment she picked up Churro, you could see that she absolutely LOVES dogs and takes her task seriously. She was on time, took time to ask all the necessary questions to build trust and had an amazing attitude towards our Churro. Churro came back exhausted and happy. She sent pictures during the walk and gave updates the entire time. 5 stars is not enough”

“Kaiya is an excellent communicator! Kaiya is responsible and I really appreciate the photos she sends of the walks. Rilo looks like she is having a great time.”

About: Hi there, my name is Sheelah. I've grown up with animals my whole life, but had to leave them behind once I started college. In the years since, I have developed a passion for caring for other people's animals, and get a lot of satisfaction from providing quality reliable care that puts pet-parents at ease. While growing up, at any given time we'd have 2-4 birds, 2-3 dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks and one German Shepard) and up to 5 cats (we took in the stray "foreclosure kitties"). I'm well versed in all forms of animal care, including the ominous tasks of bathing cats and administering medications via food or water. I have over a decade of informal experience walking dogs of about 100 pounds, and am quite comfortable with animals of all sizes. I'm a marathon-runner, so even a full day of the most energetic pups can't tire me out. I've always treated my pets like family and will show the same respect and consideration for yours! My schedule varies depending on which city I'm working in, but I love animals and they are a priority throughout my daily routine. As long as I have 24 hours notice prior to a scheduled walk, I can make it work. My primary job is remote (I work in Environmental Justice, primarily grant-writint and organizing) so I have some flexibility with my schedule. I have completed over 60 sits on TrustedHousesitter in the last 3 years. Afternoons and evenings are usually the best times for walks, but I can accommodate an early-riser if needed. I'm experienced with reactive dogs and am comfortable walking multiple dogs at once (even large breeds) but do let me know if your pup needs a solo walk and I will ensure that they get that. My top priorities are always the health and safety of the animals I care for. I like to meet and greet the dogs I walk with the owner present first, if possible, so they can establish familiarity with my scent and presence. I'm comfortable walking/caring for reactive dogs, and love high-energy animals that need a lot of exercise. It's tick and foxtail season, and I always check the dogs I care for for both of those after every walk.

“Ziggy was so excited to see Melissa for his second walk with her, and he was completely bushed when he got back. What more could you ask for?”

About: Hello! I have been pet sitting off and on for many years, both dogs and cats. I had my sweet senior dog whom I cared for through many medical needs for several years, and whom I lost recently. My baby taught me a lot about kindness & patience as well as how to provide for a senior's medical needs. Previously I lived with 2 cats for many years, and have also taken care of chickens and a duck. **I also do bunny care, drop-in or in my home!** Because I used dog sitters and walkers myself, I know how stressful it can be to trust strangers to provide the same high level of care you provide for your loved one. Please rest assured that I will treat your pet as if they were my own, providing them safety, comfort and love. I'm great at following detailed instructions and communicating responsibly. I have experience walking reactive dogs and with giving medication as well. I hope to provide excellent loving care for your special fur child! (Please note: I'm not available before 10:30am. Also for dog walking I can likely handle up to 50 lbs. If a mellow dog then heavier is ok, and if a dog needs more physical handling then maybe less than 50 lbs.) I work from home with flexible schedule. I miss walking my own dog and would love to walk yours, or drop in to care for them. I will follow your instructions to detail, asking in advance anything that needs to be known. I will treat your furbaby as if they were my own. On walks I am attentive and have experience with handling any reactiveness. Patience, kindness and fun is what your dog will get from me on our walks.

“Had a last minute need for a walk, and Brenna was perfect. She kept me updated and followed some very specific (ridiculous!) directions for how to get to my apartment! Will definitely use again!”

“Jess was communicative and followed our instructions - she also gave our dog some extra attention, which was much appreciated!”

I've cared up to 3 dogs at a time! Pets bring me so much joy and I can't wait to take care of yours! I do have a full time job which requires me to be there from 8:15 - 3:15. I do not have work on the weekends so I've more time on Saturdays and Sundays which will allow me to be available throughout the day. I ensure that I follow instructions to the best of my ability so that I am respecting your space and home. I also make sure that if I house sit, I will try and leave it better than how I found it. Your pet is my number one priority and I will make sure that my priorities are to take care of your pet and your home!

“Maia was great! Very friendly and you can tell she loves animals. She went out of her way to make sure my often anxious dog felt comfortable around her. Recommend.”

“Kye has been walking my dog two days a week for the past two weeks. It is very noticeable that he loves dogs. My pit bull is a very energetic and playful pup, and Kye manages her very well. He has been adaptable each time, even when we've forgotten to leave treats and dog bags. One day, Mulan had an accident inside the house, and Kye cleaned it up without any hesitation. I have no doubt that he will take great care of Mulan if we need him to. I wholeheartedly recommend Kye!”

16. Chika A.
“Chika watched our cat and dog while we were away for 4 days and we returned to happy, healthy boys and a spotless home! Our boys get lots of supplements and treats through the day, and my senior dog gets eye drops twice a day which she was able to administer as directed. Also, and notably, our Kitty took to her right away and came out to greet her and rub against her, which he does not do with everyone. He typically takes a little while to warm up to people, but he seemed chuffed with Chika right away! We would have her watch our boys and home again in a heartbeat!”

17. Hikaru & John M.
“Hikaru is a responsible and lovely person. She previously watched my 50-pound husky (Luna) for several days while I was out-of-town. I met with Hikaru a few times before she watched Luna. I could quickly tell from both her personality and her behavior towards myself and Luna that she is very responsible. I provided Hikaru with all of Luna's stuff (food, water bottle, leash, etc), a summary of her daily habits, and instructions on meals. Hikaru read them and instead of guessing, she asked questions within a few hours to make sure that she is properly taking care of Luna the way I wanted. She texted me pictures of Luna several times, one of which included an 8-mile hike (perfect for an active 1-year-old husky). When I returned home to pick up Luna, Hikaru was jogging with Luna. If I had to choose my top two most valued characteristics of Hikaru, it would definitely be her love for dogs and strong sense of responsibility. I would definitely ask Hikaru to dog sit for me again.”
