About: As a family we have fostered, trained and rehomed over 30 rescue dogs. We currently live in the Oakland hills with our three dogs. I’m comfortable with any size or breed I’m a stay at home dad and artist. My kids need me less as they’re teenagers now so I have the time and availability for pet care. We have fostered a range of breeds over the years. I have plenty of experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. We also have a fenced in backyard for any visiting dogs.

About: With a background in lifeguarding, and EMT training, I prioritize an observant and safety-first mindset through each walk. I also have experience walking with dogs who have issues with aggression towards other dogs. I'm currently part-time walker, but I am very flexible in between the early hours of 6AM to 6PM from Mondays through Thursdays. I am also flexible with doing more than 1 hour walking sessions. I have a single room in a house that is well locked. Due to not having roommates, I have an easier time taking care of a dog in that space. I also live in an area where it's a safer portion of the neighborhood.

About: My family’s had 2 Havanese dogs a little over 3 years now and I take care of them regularly when they go out for the night or leave town. In addition I occasionally sit for family friends who have a Yorkie and used to watch a neighbor’s cat when she was still with us. Most animals find me agreeable and I try to be consistent and loving with any younger ones so that they’re shaped into the best possible pets. I’ve recently left my long-term job to focus on watching/walking pets. I do some gig work to make ends meet but my main passion right now is animal care. I have a spacious loft apartment in Chinatown Oakland in a very safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Lake Merritt. Crating (with one provided for me) in the apartment is an option as well as my sectional couch or rug depending on your animal’s preferences.

About: I am an academic (and animal lover!) living in Berkeley looking to spend some time walking, cuddling, and generally taking care of pets -- dogs, cats, and otherwise! I have lived with both cats and dogs before, including my beloved dog "niece" Stevie (pictured in my profile photo), who lives back in my hometown, Chicago. Back home in Chicago, I volunteered with One Tail At A Time shelter. Duties included playing with/socializing dogs, cleaning and sanitizing kennels, and lots and lots of laundry duty! My time volunteering in the shelter taught me how to interact with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have several friends who I have cat-sit for regularly and am looking to expand my network of cat-sitting and dog-sitting clients. I have both stayed over in people's homes and done more "drop-in" style pet-sitting depending on what works for the situation. When possible with cats I prefer indoor cats, but I have stayed with outdoor cats as well. I would call myself a moderately experienced dog walker who enjoys getting her steps in, but equally is happy to just take your dog around the block for some fresh air! I am an effective communicator and genuinely enjoy this kind of work! I am in academia -- mostly writing and researching -- and make my own schedule. I almost only work from home. This gives me great flexibility in working with your pets! Safety is a key concern of mine. For example, I do not walk animals with headphones in, as I prefer to be aware of my surroundings. I also prefer to do a "meet and greet" before working with an animal so they can identify me/my scent so that everyone feels safe and happy! I am happy to meet owners' individual safety needs.

About: I have spent my entire life around dogs, both caring for them as my own pets and doing paid dog-sitting. I have extensive experience with both small and large dogs. I have been in charge of bathing, walking, administering medication, and general playtime for a variety of pooches, and feel comfortable navigating dispositions ranging from quiet and timid to outgoing and rambunctious. I truly love all animals and cannot wait to meet yours! I am currently in between jobs, so I have lots of flexibility for pet care. About: I've been around dogs my whole life and rescued my own fur baby 5 years ago. I watch dogs for friends and family all the time and genuinely love having them around. I love that every dog has their own personality, and I'm happy to meet them where they're at, whether they're playful and outgoing or a little shy and need some space. I'm no replacement for their favorite human, but I hope to give them a friendly, warm, low-stress environment where they can feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. 🐾 I'm currently working part time so I have a very flexible schedule. I'm available most week days all day, Saturdays all day and Sunday evenings. I have a car so can easily drop in for a visit or walk and pick up/drop off your pet. I live in a condo with my partner and a little Pomeranian named Romeo. I don't have a yard but live in a super walkable neighborhood with some parks nearby. I love staying active and driving to a trail/park from time to time to take a little hike.
