About: For two years, I spent over 350 hours volunteering with dogs at the SF SPCA, taking all available dog training courses and earning certifications to work with puppies and dogs of all behavioral levels. I also served as a dog “matchmaker” where I helped clients find their perfect companion. My soft spot has always been for the nervous, shy dogs. I love seeing how time, space, and gentleness can open them up. It was incredible to watch them blossom over a few socialization visits and walks, and even more rewarding to help them find a home that would suit them, and their owners, best. I’ve had dogs myself over the years and am a frequent dog and cat sitter for many of my friends with pets. While my volunteer experience has been dog-focused, I'm equally comfortable with cats (have taken care of a house that had 15!) and have cared for more exotic pets too, including a parrot, hedgehog, and ferrets! I'm available for home visits/care for all animals and currently walks up to a mile. Additionally, I have a quiet, pet-friendly home and am able to board on a case by case basis for dogs I've worked with previously. I have experience working with dogs with different behavioral challenges (e.g. leash pulling, on and off leash aggression, very shy, anxious, etc.). Each dog is different, and I’m highly adept at reading cues and adapting based on their needs, as well as taking direction from owners. I'm used to multiple-pet households, complex feeding schedules, and administering medications. If your pet has specific needs I haven't addressed, send me a note! If I have experience in it I'll share, and if it's something I can learn, I'd love to. I want your pet to feel like I'm the next best thing to having you there and want to mimic their usual schedule and routine wherever possible. I’m a potter and am able to make my own schedule, so can accommodate you and your pet’s needs. If they have a favorite park, I'll plan our walks to go there. If they often get treats from a neighborhood shop, I'll include that route in our walk. For visits/walks I'll share a photo and update so you have peace of mind - I'll let you know when I arrive, and when I leave. And if there's anything out of the ordinary, I'll bring it to your attention. I want you to have absolute trust that your pet is getting the best care possible and that I'm looking out for them as if they were my own. I also want them to have the best time and to get excited the next time I see them! As a potter, I set my own hours and have flexibility throughout the day. I can accommodate morning, midday, or afternoon visits and walks, and am generally available for last-minute bookings. For every visit or walk, I'll send a photo and update - letting you know when I arrive, when I leave, and flagging anything out of the ordinary. For boarding, I have a quiet, pet-friendly home and only take dogs I've worked with previously to ensure a good fit. I'm experienced reading behavioral cues and adapting to each dog's needs, and I'll always follow your routines, feeding schedules, and any medical requirements closely.

About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

About: I’ve had 2 dogs from puppy through adulthood over the last 20 years and have given tens of thousands of walks. Charlie was a stubborn and happy Basset Hound, and Teddy was a big, lovable, and strong Great Pyrenees who unfortunately passed early last year. I recently moved to Berkeley, and would truly love to have fun putting my dog walking skills to use with your pup. Able to offer same-day evening requests as well as any other time of day with 1+ day notice. Also able to give long 1+ hour evening walks at $25/hr! I don’t have space at my home which is my motivation for helping and spending time with local dogs on Rover! I build pet care into my mornings and evenings especially, when most cats feel most active and engaged, and I make time throughout the day for check-ins, updates, and communication with owners. Caring for pets isn’t something I “squeeze in” — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my week. My approach to pet care is centered around keeping things as close to a pet’s normal routine as possible, because that’s what helps them feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, litter box routines, and household preferences carefully. I make sure cats have clean spaces, fresh water, enrichment through play, and plenty of affection (or space, if that’s what they prefer). I also keep the home tidy and send regular updates with photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. If caring for a pet in my home, I focus on creating a calm, low-stress environment where they have a comfortable place to rest and decompress. I’m intentional about introductions, stimulation levels, and maintaining consistency with their usual feeding and play routine. I pay close attention to behavior and mood changes so I can adjust care as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on patience, safety, and individualized attention. About: I haven’t had the opportunity to have a pet of my own yet, but I’ve made it a personal goal to learn as much as possible about cats and dogs so I can provide the best care for any pet entrusted to me. I’m experienced with handling dogs that tug on the leash, administering medication, and adjusting walks to fit each dog’s needs—whether that means longer or shorter routes, or slower, gentler pacing versus high-energy outings. I’m currently on a break from college, which gives me plenty of free time and flexibility to focus on pet care. I’m available in the early mornings, evenings, and throughout the day, allowing me to accommodate a wide range of schedules and routines. This flexibility means I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need while their humans are away. m I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I take time to learn each pet’s feeding schedule, walk preferences, play style, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and secure.

About: I’ve always grown up with cats and dogs since I was a little kid. I believe in pet therapy. I’m here to support you and fur baby when needed! I’m currently on break from my work at a school site where I would bring my dog to work with me. :) I work remotely as a very part-time freelancer so I’m home each afternoon. My apartment is very pet friendly with tons of toys, treats, sofa covers, etc. I also live within walking distance of multiple gated, community parks.

About: I have experience taking care of dogs for over 10+ years. I have had pets my whole life and I have taken care of family members pets before due to them leaving for emergency or vacation. Walking and playing with the dogs is my favorite part. I have pets of my own that I tend to. 3 cats and one small chihuahua. She is only a year old and I love them so much. They are very playful and love to cuddle. The way I would care for pets in a client's home is the way I would care for my own pets with given instructions on medication, routine, special dietary restrictions and of course. A list of required tasks to complete with the dog/cat while taking care of them.
