Natalie is a great dog walker! She has a calming influence and spent extra time to get our dog comfortable with her, before a weeklong stints of 2x day walks. She also sent us photos so we could see he missed us less by the day. Will reach out to Natalie again when we have the need!

About: I love meeting each pet exactly where they are. I love a long walk (or run) as much as a chill cuddle bug who just wants cuddles. Experience with giving medication to cats and dogs I am currently working part-time and I always have time for late afternoon/evening walks. For mornings/day, I usually have a 1 week lead time with my schedule so I am a great last minute sitter/walker because if I am available I would love to help out! I take safety very seriously and will follow your directions to the letter. I know how much it takes to trust someone else with your fur baby and I want you to know your pet is in good hands. I also have experience with diabetic animals, as well as giving medication for other ailments.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every animal. Friends and family have trusted me for years to care for their pets, and I treat each one as if they were my own. I also have experience working at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I cared for animals with compassion and patience. That experience strengthened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced my passion for providing safe, loving care. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, or a calm and attentive sitter, I'm committed to making them feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I currently work from home and live by myself, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. My schedule allows me to accommodate your pet's routine, whether that's walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company. I'm happy to work with you to make sure your pet receives the care and attention they're used to while you're away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and at home. I live in a secure apartment and have access to a very walkable neighborhood, making it easy to provide regular potty breaks, walks, and exercise throughout the day. I always follow each pet's usual routine, including feeding schedules, playtime, and any special care instructions, so they feel as comfortable as possible. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and personalized care while you're away.

About: I am an academic (and animal lover!) living in Berkeley looking to spend some time walking, cuddling, and generally taking care of pets -- dogs, cats, and otherwise! I have lived with both cats and dogs before, including my beloved dog "niece" Stevie (pictured in my profile photo), who lives back in my hometown, Chicago. Back home in Chicago, I volunteered with One Tail At A Time shelter. Duties included playing with/socializing dogs, cleaning and sanitizing kennels, and lots and lots of laundry duty! My time volunteering in the shelter taught me how to interact with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have several friends who I have cat-sit for regularly and am looking to expand my network of cat-sitting and dog-sitting clients. I have both stayed over in people's homes and done more "drop-in" style pet-sitting depending on what works for the situation. When possible with cats I prefer indoor cats, but I have stayed with outdoor cats as well. I would call myself a moderately experienced dog walker who enjoys getting her steps in, but equally is happy to just take your dog around the block for some fresh air! I am an effective communicator and genuinely enjoy this kind of work! I am in academia -- mostly writing and researching -- and make my own schedule. I almost only work from home. This gives me great flexibility in working with your pets! Safety is a key concern of mine. For example, I do not walk animals with headphones in, as I prefer to be aware of my surroundings. I also prefer to do a "meet and greet" before working with an animal so they can identify me/my scent so that everyone feels safe and happy! I am happy to meet owners' individual safety needs.

Leonard was fantastic! He stepped in to walk my dogs with literally less than a day’s notice after I was already out of town on vacation. Since I had already left, my adult daughter met him, introduced him to the dogs, and showed him where everything was. From that point on, everything went smoothly. Every day I received Rover Cards with photos, the route, distance, and time of each walk, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was my first time using Rover, and Leonard made it such a positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again, and he’ll definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to care for my dogs. Highly recommended!

About: I‘ve rescued, fostered and placed animals from different species in homes since 11 years ago. It all started with my soul dog who made me get into dog training and ethology. More animals came into my life and continued to taught me how to properly take care for disabled and senior animals who had terminal cancer, seizures, and mobility issues. As well as different species of animals that urgently needed veterinary care and new homes like bearded dragons, turtles, rats, chickens, cows and fish. I‘m surrounded by a community of animal rescuers who have taught me a lot on how to help more animals and educate the public about their needs and challenges. It‘s very important for pet parents to leave their animals at the hands of people who understand that these pets are family members and each of them is unique and deserves to be given the best care and life possible. I‘m currently available most days of the week, and trying to get consistent pups that I can take on adventures with others at least twice a week. I‘m also available for boarding and house sitting. I train tuesdays-fridays at night for an hour. I like to do multiple walks and exercise at selected parks around berkeley and oakland. I live in a 1b-1ba apartment with a big cemented balcony in an apartment building. All my windows and balcony door have a screen. My door goes to a carpeted hallway with other apartments so there‘s no possibility of escaping accidents. I also have a 360 camera at my apartment which I use for monitoring.

I work from home and can be able to stay with your dog at home. I’m available most days and hours due to my flexibility at work. I treat my dog and animals like part of my family. About: What sets me apart is the level of intention and care I bring to every pet I watch. I don’t see this as just a service — I truly believe pets are gifts and important members of the family, and I treat them that way. I’m comfortable caring for pets at all life stages. With young pets, I reinforce positive behaviors, basic training cues, and consistent routines to help support what owners are already working on. I’m patient and understand that puppies and kittens need structure, energy outlets, and clear boundaries. For senior pets, I provide a calm, gentle approach. I’m attentive to mobility needs, slower routines, medication schedules if needed, and making sure they’re comfortable and not overstimulated. I pay close attention to behavior changes and subtle cues so I can adjust care appropriately. I also prioritize communication and reliability. I provide thoughtful updates and photos so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. Overall, I focus on individualized care — meeting each pet where they are and making sure they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated time and energy for each pet I’m caring for — whether that’s drop-ins, feedings, play sessions, or overnight stays. I don’t overbook because I want every animal to get focused attention, not rushed visits. I build pet care into my mornings and evenings especially, when most cats feel most active and engaged, and I make time throughout the day for check-ins, updates, and communication with owners. Caring for pets isn’t something I “squeeze in” — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my week. My approach to pet care is centered around keeping things as close to a pet’s normal routine as possible, because that’s what helps them feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, litter box routines, and household preferences carefully. I make sure cats have clean spaces, fresh water, enrichment through play, and plenty of affection (or space, if that’s what they prefer). I also keep the home tidy and send regular updates with photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. If caring for a pet in my home, I focus on creating a calm, low-stress environment where they have a comfortable place to rest and decompress. I’m intentional about introductions, stimulation levels, and maintaining consistency with their usual feeding and play routine. I pay close attention to behavior and mood changes so I can adjust care as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on patience, safety, and individualized attention. Every pet has a different personality — some want lots of play and interaction, others prefer quiet companionship — and I tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable.

About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

V was so helpful and responsive. What started as a weekend of dog walks turned into a month of regular dog walks at various times thru the day. V was quick to respond to my inquires and Ernest really seemed to like them. I highly recommend V for big dogs like Ernest (and likely any dog smaller than 90 lbs, which I know is many!). They handled his hesitancies (and mine) well with us scheduling a meet and greet and then treating him well thru all the walks. Thanks V!

Riley did an excellent job taking my Siberian Husky out for a walk. He was respectful and communicative through the booking process and punctual the day of the walk.
