About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

V was quick to respond to my inquires and Ernest really seemed to like them. I highly recommend V for big dogs like Ernest (and likely any dog smaller than 90 lbs, which I know is many!). I don’t overbook because I want every animal to get focused attention, not rushed visits. I build pet care into my mornings and evenings especially, when most cats feel most active and engaged, and I make time throughout the day for check-ins, updates, and communication with owners. Caring for pets isn’t something I “squeeze in” — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my week. My approach to pet care is centered around keeping things as close to a pet’s normal routine as possible, because that’s what helps them feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, litter box routines, and household preferences carefully. I make sure cats have clean spaces, fresh water, enrichment through play, and plenty of affection (or space, if that’s what they prefer). I also keep the home tidy and send regular updates with photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. If caring for a pet in my home, I focus on creating a calm, low-stress environment where they have a comfortable place to rest and decompress. I’m intentional about introductions, stimulation levels, and maintaining consistency with their usual feeding and play routine. I pay close attention to behavior and mood changes so I can adjust care as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on patience, safety, and individualized attention. About: I’ve been caring for pets ever since I was a kid, as we’ve owned them my whole life! I sat my parents down and presented them a handwritten PowerPoint explaining why I would be the absolute best and most responsible care giver! My 13 year old self was very persuasive, because we got 3 cats, which I still care for today! While I was only raised with cats in my home, I do have a lot of experience with dogs as well! Throughout college, I had numerous friends who had dogs, who would come to me to help care for their pets when their schedules got to busy. I would feed them, walk them, play with them, bathe them, clip their nails, and even stay in their homes to pet sit if their parent had a vacation scheduled. On top of that, I fostered a handful of new born kittens who I had to bottle feed. I would love the opportunity to treat your fur baby as my own! I’m currently working on my masters at UC Berkeley, which leaves me with some extra time on my hands. I would love to use this spare time to play with and care for your pet! I will care for your fur baby in your home by first ensuring I follow any guidelines set by you as the owner. Whether that be walking them on their favorite street at their favorite time, or feeding them the fantastic 4 course meal you’ve laid out. I will ensure your home is left as clean, if not cleaner, as when I arrived. I will ensure that your pet will have gotten all their zoomies out, and will be happy to see you once you arrive home and be ready to get cuddled up!

About: I have about 6 years of extensive pet care. Taking care of family friends pets has allowed for a wide range of types of dogs all ages and sizes. From puppies to dogs with lots of medical problems, I love and care for each and every one. Growing up my family always had 2 dogs at once, so I’m able to multitask with multiple dogs. As a college student, I only go to classes one hour at a time and have the rest of the day to go for walks and feed. I’m not there too late or too early, so I’ll always be back for morning/evening walks and time for food. In clients home I make sure to follow their rules depending on each person. Crate if necessary, or making sure doors are closed and locked before I leave.

About: I am an academic (and animal lover!) living in Berkeley looking to spend some time walking, cuddling, and generally taking care of pets -- dogs, cats, and otherwise! I have lived with both cats and dogs before, including my beloved dog "niece" Stevie (pictured in my profile photo), who lives back in my hometown, Chicago. Back home in Chicago, I volunteered with One Tail At A Time shelter. Duties included playing with/socializing dogs, cleaning and sanitizing kennels, and lots and lots of laundry duty! My time volunteering in the shelter taught me how to interact with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have several friends who I have cat-sit for regularly and am looking to expand my network of cat-sitting and dog-sitting clients. I have both stayed over in people's homes and done more "drop-in" style pet-sitting depending on what works for the situation. When possible with cats I prefer indoor cats, but I have stayed with outdoor cats as well. I would call myself a moderately experienced dog walker who enjoys getting her steps in, but equally is happy to just take your dog around the block for some fresh air! I am an effective communicator and genuinely enjoy this kind of work! I am in academia -- mostly writing and researching -- and make my own schedule. I almost only work from home. This gives me great flexibility in working with your pets! Safety is a key concern of mine. For example, I do not walk animals with headphones in, as I prefer to be aware of my surroundings. I also prefer to do a "meet and greet" before working with an animal so they can identify me/my scent so that everyone feels safe and happy! I am happy to meet owners' individual safety needs.

About: I've been taking care of my dog ever since I was 10 and the routine slideshow presentations finally convinced my parents that I was ready to take care of a puppy. For the past 8 years I've been caring for my dog, Liberty, by bathing her, brushing her, walking her daily, refilling her food and water, giving her a treat every morning, administering her medicine, and training her in basic commands such as "sit", "stay", and "down". I've also loved dogs my whole life (I'm allergic to cats) and have bonded with many over the years. I'm looking to make another dog as happy as I hope my dog is when we leave for vacation and get her a sitter; I'm excited to meet both of you! I'm currently attending UC Berkeley and will be home for the summer so I would be able to drop by and check in on/walk your fur baby any time on the weekdays and weekends. I have experience providing care to for my dog and my friend's dogs/puppies and would love to be able to do so for a client. I'm qualified to come in and feed, bathe, walk, brush, and play with your fur baby/babies. I'm familiar with accommodating for the needs of different pups. If there are any special circumstances, such as medications, I would learn how to administer them correctly.

About: I have had experience with pets ranging from 1 year old to 15 years old. I learn the pace and routine of my pets and act accordingly. I specialize my care depending on my client and am here to give you some ease when deciding who to leave your pet with. I currently work part-time, typically mornings, and am in school. Thankfully, my classes are online, so I am available for flexible care starting after 2 PM on weekdays. Weekends, I am available all day, and any changes will be communicated directly. I have experience with fenced off areas in homes, crates, and specialized leashes. I am happy to learn and adapt to your personal needs and style.

About: I have experience taking care of dogs for over 10+ years. I have had pets my whole life and I have taken care of family members pets before due to them leaving for emergency or vacation. Walking and playing with the dogs is my favorite part. I have pets of my own that I tend to. 3 cats and one small chihuahua. She is only a year old and I love them so much. They are very playful and love to cuddle. The way I would care for pets in a client's home is the way I would care for my own pets with given instructions on medication, routine, special dietary restrictions and of course. A list of required tasks to complete with the dog/cat while taking care of them.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I have experience with pitbulls to Portuguese water dogs. Our family will keep your dog engaged and safe! I am currently a stay at home mom. I have plenty of time to take your dog on long walks around our neighborhood. When the whole family is around lots of laughs, chase and fetch will be had. I like to treat your dog the way you treat your dog. If your dog is most comfortable being crated I can easily provide that but if your dog likes to be out and snuggled that can happen too! I do have a fenced yard your dog to roam and explore between walks.
