“We took a two-week trip and I was looking for a great home away from home for our dog Colbie. Colbie is a fun loving puppy and wanted someone with a kind heart and gentle nature to take care of her and Patrick is that and more. At our meet and greet Colbie got along great with his two cuties, Sophie and J.P.. Patrick explained very well how he takes care of the dogs he boards and understands they are all different with different requirements. Every day, even several times a day, we'd get picture updates from Patrick showing all the dogs getting along so nicely. He even put little booties on her feet so they wouldn't get dirty when they took a walk! He also did some light grooming as well. You could just see that she was very happy and comfortable the whole time and I wasn't worried at all. Patrick is a "dog person" through and through and his love for them shows. I HIGHLY recommend Patrick.”

We did a meet and greet before dropping Dobby off, which I think was very helpful and put Dobby at ease when we finally dropped him off. They were very kind and attentive to Dobby’s needs. I was concerned about Dobby staying in someone else’s house with another dog because he is a rescue and he’s kind of skittish, but Dobby and Mia got along really well. Nikita sent me daily updates and photos and that was very reassuring. I also really appreciated the fact that they took Dobby out on hikes and walks with them. That was a real plus, since Dobby is an active dog. I would highly recommend Anthony and Nikita to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. I’ll be using them again in the future when I get a new dog!!! :)”

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. About: At my house, your dog will be in a cozy family environment with my two friendly pugs! Other than my two dogs, yours will be the only dog in the house. I only accept one dog at a time! No contact with unknown dogs over here :) After years of watching dogs for friends and family, I decided it’s time to take it professional! I am a knowledgeable dog lover, a remote worker, and I have a great (fenced!) backyard. After an early wake up and garden time, we have puppy breakfast and then a snuggle sesh! During the day we alternate between downtime in the office/free roaming and outdoor breaks when weather allows. Outings happen in the evening, we love the east bay regional parks! If we don’t have time for an outing, we bust out the backyard toys to still get in a good chunk of playtime :) Banshee (1.5, pug mix) is always down to play tag with pups that have more energy, and Azula (6, pug) is ready for a couch nap partner all day long My large backyard is fully fenced, to keep my two small dogs safe. Even so, we never leave dogs unsupervised! I am a lover of (force free!!) crate training to keep dogs safe and secure when left alone for short periods of time, but as a remote worker this is rarely necessary. I am knowledgeable of plants and foods that are dog toxic, and am experienced in dealing with allergies and other minor health issues and I am comfortable giving medication.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. We always had pets growing up. I work from home and watch one dog at a time, giving them the attention and care they need. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, play, and pets. I am able to accommodate to the dog’s that I’m watching schedule. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood that is great for walks. I make sure dogs are well fed and will cook for them if needed/wanted. I am also comfortable giving dogs medication they may need.
About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have kids that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.

About: I’ve had pets for 14 years ranging from small dogs, to cats, to rats and hamsters. In the last year, my family has dog sat for friends on vacation and foster puppies. My daughters (age 10 and 12) are particularly obsessed with small dogs, and regularly walk several of our neighbors dogs. We would love to welcome yours into our home. I work from home M-W-F and someone is usually home most weekends. We all love snuggling up with dogs as we work, watch movies, as well as taking them on walks or jogs in our neighborhood. House sitting with light chores and overnight care are not an issue with my schedule! In the case of small and medium sized dogs I'm capable of handling them on walks if they're very reactionary to people and other animals. I'm capable of walking larger dogs if they're on the calm side and won't chase animals and people.
