I grew up on a horse farm with dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, and the odd rogue toad, so caring for animals with love and respect is literally second nature. About: My family has owned dogs since I was a baby, cats since I was 5, and I have helped care for them since I was 10: feeding/playing with them, dog walking, cleaning litter boxes. I’ve also helped take care of other family/friend pets. I worked, interned, and volunteered at a local animal shelter where I was trained to walk/care for/train dogs, play with/feed cats, and cleaned kennels/litter boxes. Over the summer of 2024, I worked at the Oakland Zoo where I gained experience on caring for wild animals. Starting January 20th, I am taking classes at the local community college. I am available weekends, including Friday’s. Monday’s/Wednesday’s I’m available after 4pm. Tuesday/Thursday after 3pm. When I am free, I’m available to walk/feed dogs and take care of cats in their homes. I will send pictures showing the progress of the walk/visit. I will also write texts to update when I bring the dog outside, when I’m returning from a walk, and when I’m leaving and locking up the house. I own a car and am able to drive to your home to take care of your pets. I can also bring dogs for walks or drive them to a park to play outside if wanted. If I do drive them anywhere, I will make sure to text when I am leaving (house/park) and arriving to the park or back to the house to show the dog made the trip safely.

About: I am a dog lover and lived with dogs my whole life. I have taken care of dogs on and off for the past 8 years including boarding, house-stays, and walks. I currently have pretty flexible schedule and can make my hours fit for you - if there is a time conflict I will make sure to inform you and propose another time (if applicable). I cannot currently board dogs in my home (my dog is going through cancer treatment), but I am happy to do house-stays or walks. Kayla is truly the BEST and we feel so lucky we found her 🥹✨ From our very first meet & greet, we knew she was special — she literally showed up with a notebook and asked the most thoughtful questions about our dogs, routines, preferences, and care. That level of preparation and attention immediately put us at ease. She gives total Disney princess energy. So gentle, calm, kind, and clearly such an animal person. Both of our small, anxious rescue pups absolutely adore her (which says everything because they can be pretty selective with people!). She made them feel safe right away and has been incredibly patient and attentive with them. Sarah is reliable, flexible and so sweet. My cat is a senior cat who is very attached to me but Sarah takes great care of her and is mindful of the extra care she needs as an older cat. My cat took to her quickly as well, such a relief to travel and know she’s in great hands!
